you CAN alt tab out of oblivion but only after getting in game if its from the menu it'll crash, tell this to any other streames you know i always see them make the same mistake LOL
I believe they upped the health pool of enemies in Morroblivion across the board by a factor of 5 or so. They did this in order to replicate the "experience" of constantly missing all the time in morrowind, and to draw out the length of time the player spends in combat. You know for Immersions' sake. Personally I think it's really annoying, and takes what was once essentially a fleeting situational setback at the beginning of the game, and turns it into a never ending curse of endless slogs and damage sponge enemies.
No the health values are 1 to 1 with Morrowind. But that in of its self is the issue since even a rat in Morrowind is minimum 23 hp. Rats in Oblivion have 4.
@@vennin7781 I just double checked, and it is exactly as you say. I must have misremembered a forum discussion regarding the issue. They weren't actively altering the tables of the game to increase difficulty, they were reluctant to alter any morrowind vanilla stats for the sake of difficulty. A whole lot of different actor values were changed between Morrowind and Oblivion. Movement rates, attribute modifiers, ect... Perhaps they were hoping to adjust them all one day to be more like Morrowind. Who knows?
Skywind does sound really disappointing, morrowinds base game mechanics are mostly great and replacing them with skyrims mostly mediocre just doesnt make sense to me
I always go Atronach. That magicka boost and absorb is awesome. Get another 50 absorb on there, and you're invincible to magic, aswell as eat it. And the 2.5x Magicka let's you make some devastating spells, especially if Breton... or I guess Altmer, but noone wants that.
So yes, you can use a spear for striking/cutting, but it's not the most efficient way. It's more of a halberd or poleax thing. The general method for spear is basically grabbing it with both hands and poking your enemy. Some fancy methods would be to support the weight by putting the rear end under your elbow, or some guards. But really, everyone can use a spear. after playing Morrowind for a while then started my third playthrough in Skyrim before watching this stream i just realized how dumb was the fighting was in Oblivion. swinging around weapons like a child playing with his wooden sword 😅 back in the days i was a huge fan of Oblivion but now i think even Morrowind has a more immersive style not to mention npc-s! everyone looks the same regardless of the faction - besides orcs for obvious reasons... couldn't even tell who is a man or a woman the only good point i can recall from Oblivion was some of the quests and questlines (dark brotherhood was my favourite) anyway Morrowind will always have a special place in my heart! btw just found this channel Micky D, keep it up! 😃

Trying to find a game you used to play as a kid you only vaguely remember is the worst thing. I've been trying to figure out the name of a 3D dinosaur learning game from my childhood and it still drives me nuts. I’m not sure why only like one or two people said it but Ghosts in oblivion have an immunity to frost enchantments..so that’s probably why you did much better to other things lol

Why is the chat on the left side? It's currently covering the inventory and dialogue options. If you really want to have it on screen couldn't you put it in the upper-right hand corner? That way it's only really covering magical effects.

There are roughly exactly zero enemies or important prompts that show up in the upper-corner. But yeah, sure, proudly beat your e-penis in public while imagining that you got somebody on TH-cam with a 'Gotcha!' moment.
