Just think of this you've all learned from the great maestro you've all become tremendous musicians in yourselves. You probably don't think of it now but you are all maestro's of the future. You are learning how now. I am 79 years old and not going to be here in your future but I've already imagined it. You're the best I have ever seen or heard. Best of health and happiness to you
Those of us who've been watching this group's videos for years can remember when each of these young ladies was a mere child. And so it is gratifying to see that they have not only become beautiful young adults but rock solid professional musicians as well. And they continue to develop musically, steadily improving both their skill and their musical taste. I am truly excited to see what gifts the future is going to bring them...and through their performances us, as well.

I too have been watching Chamorro's various groups for a long time. Endlessly delightful. Some of the best Bossa Nova being performed anywhere. Love the bands with mixed ages (starting around age 6!). What his school offers is really an apprentice program. What a gift to the world!

Joan's pride in his protégés is there for all to see, but that’s nothing compared to the pride Andrea still has when Carla plays a solo. To think these young ladies are now all in their twenties and thanks to Joan's tutelage and love for jazz their passion is still there. He takes raw talented children who want to learn and creates something truly beautiful. When they are together all egos are left at the door, it’s all about the music.

Que de talent chez ces jeunes femmes ! Merci pour ce merveilleux moment dû à la pugnacité de Monsieur Chamorro qui, sans relâche, entraîne et répète avec tous ces jeunes gens. Je regarde beaucoup de vidéos enregistrées depuis 10 ans et ce n’est que du bonheur de constater l’évolution exceptionnelle de ces jeunes talents. Je suis fan de cette formation et de toutes celles qui se succèdent pour notre plus grand plaisir, et plus particulièrement du quintet de Joan Chamoro avec Andréa Motis, Josep Traper, Steve Pi et le saxophoniste Hamilton je crois !

It was wonderful to watch and listen to these ladies perform when they were children. Now that they're adults and have music careers of their own, I hope they can find time to perform together once in a while because it's a real pleasure to see them play together. It puts a smile on my face and I'm sure it does for many others!

I agree. People who just paid €35 to see you on stage assume the performer has been thinking just about seeing you in the audience for months. So Smile!!! As Joan Chamorro mentioned in the liner notes of "Feeling Good" page 7, "a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your appearance." All of these young ladies smiled in this performance. They know they have succeeded and they are more relaxed which I see from many who have spent 8-12 yrs in the Jazz Band.

So many memories of these remarkable musicians performing since childhood, whether doing solos or harmonizing together and having so much fun. The chemistry between them is wonderful to see, and Chamorro is the glue that has kept it all together.

Joan Chamarro is sure one lucky guy, playing the music he loves surrounded by 4 beautiful young women who are absolutely the cream of current female jazz performers.
Change tat to: among 'the cream of current jazz performers. They are indeed female but this is not/should not be a dividing characteristic among musicians. Can he paly well?

I am so impressed by the development of Carla Motis's playing. Her guitar lines in this video are very tasteful, and their executed perfectly. Her playing has become one of the highlights of the group's always fabulous performances. Well done!

I had greats from the '30 and' 40s teach me on piano, one on trombone. Wish I had Joan as a teacher 40 years ago.

I have only discovered Joan Chomorro and his talented students a few months ago. It has been a real pleasure going back and listening to these musicians when they were much younger to this recent performance. I look forward to perhaps someday hearing them in person. Love the music and the musicians. You bring joy to many people.

I really really appreciate what Joan Chamorro does. He clears the way of those talented young musicians. I am following San Andrea Jazz Band almost 5-6 years. I see how they develop their musician skills year by year. They are student as much as be a good performers. Nice to see their concerts or another performances via TH-cam. I grew up listening to Beiderbecke entering in a phrase aggressively off the phrases of the preceding musician. The two trumpeters do that here with expertise and jive-level skill. They harmonize magnificently. If any of you don’t know the history of this glorious American cultural creation, listen to early Armstrong and Beiderbecke. Not to overshadow these superb young Catalan musicians but to see how they drive the music and the art form forward. Creative and brilliant.
