I've always liked her, everything pleasant: looks, presence, voice & all these years she looks the same! But for this, I think Putri blows it out of the park, gave me chills twice: when she went high & the ending, & I don't get chills very often. And her voice is so crystal clear. NBC reviewed it, saying it's as good as Gloria's. Love them both, Gigi & Putri.

I really like Gigi's version and the shadow boxing was a bonus. I'm not the biggest Putri fan but she slayed that. On a bit of a tangent both performances felt very authentic which bothers me some in that it says something about the pain each has felt.

My response on production was about Putri Ariani's video, and Gigi is usually live most of the time but I also wish her and the band would spend a little more time out of the studio. Putri Ariani is an amazing young lady and artist, but I'm old school and maybe I'm a dinosaur but give me all those Woodstock live performances, that was LIVE ! The true heart, soul, and talent of the artist ! We get so much production videos these days we forget what a true live performance is ! With Putri Ariani's video, yes the performance was live but there was still some production on that, lights camera action if you will. The video is where you find most of the production. We don't just have the excitement of the vocal performance of the artist and the band, the production excitement is created with all the visuals going on, the fast cut aways to dancing crowds the light show going on, the artist ends up sharing the stage with the production ! Like I said I'm old school, when the only thing the artists had to get you excited about their performance was their true unaltered vocals and their live musical accompaniment ! There are still a few artists out there that do it Old School like this dinosaur enjoys, and usually their independent artists, because once you sign with most labels you become a commodity to be promoted by them, however they see fit ! Have you heard of Billy Field, he's a producer from Aussie, who did a record of how he likes some songs. He put out the album after some reccomendation and got somewhere. Try Bad Habits, You weren't in love with me and try Biology, among others, he was pretty good, is still around. I imagine they were covers?
