      Templates straight from the source at The Dented Helmet. WOF did an outstanding job on them and they have stood the test of time.

      It's not that I don't like 3d printers (I don't even have one yet...) I just love getting in there with my hands and seeing what happens.

    YOU ACTUALLY USED A BUCKET ??!?!?! Omg I completely lost it at that point. Great Work. Looks good. This help me so much with my own helmet. Was a bit lost with the templates on my own. Thanks for sharing this.

    1:40 peanut butter works great to get residue off from stickers. slap it on and let it sit for a day and then wash it off...works like a charm

    Lighter fluid can remove the sticky stuff usually.

      Ya, I have used that in the past. It's just not something I had on hand at the time.

    Awesome video. This is a great companion to your “how to” thread on the Mercs forum. I’m wondering what other stuff I will learn? Can’t wait for the next video.

    Great video Rick!! Goo Gone or WD40 work pretty well with removing adhesive residue. Just rinse well with dish soap.

    A multi tool would really help with the sanding and cutting (safer too)

    If the Force wills it, then in the spring I should be able to follow on this path, as you have shown "Te Way".
    Though I do agree with the use of "card stock" for printing/working with on the pattern - as I work in a book bindery, that is easy for me to acquire.
    The Suggestions for Goo Gone & WD-40 I have used aw well, though you already commented on that in another video in this series, of which I may comment on.
    So until this Winter ends so work can begin, supplies for this and a project that follows "Te way be Tarre Vizsla, te Mand'alor"
    NOTE: Anything in " " is in course/rough Mando via FunTranslations.com.
    Now, all I need is a Mandalorian Font set and I can write my own chain-code!

    Can a hard hat work with build instead of a bicycle helmet

    • @TheBeardedMando
      @TheBeardedMando  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely. the helmet in the thumbnail for this video was made using a hard hat.

    would epoxy work instead of fiberglass resin?

    • @TheBeardedMando
      @TheBeardedMando  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think that epoxy would saturate the cloth. The fiberglass resin and cloth are there to provide a foundation for the bondo that comes later (Part 6).
