I have the 2015 S3 (the first year of the current gen) in glacier white with prestige package and sport package. The only problem I've had is hitting a pothole and blowing out my headlight washer reservoir. So not Audi's fault. I love it
I too have a 2105 s3 equipped very similarly but with the technology package. After 3 years and 30k km (Canadian here) of four season driving, be it a recent 4500 km road trip to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia or winter driving, the S3 still is a blast to drive. The only expense was changing the Oem continental tires for Michelin pilot sport 4S which improve handling and ride. Mythos black with red insert seats, red brake callipers it is stylist and stealthy. Love it.

I’m thinking about getting an A3.. but idk if I want the Quattro. I’m not into cars much but I like how sporty the A3 looks. I’m more of a driver that cruises and likes to enjoy the drive and not drive fast. I’m also concerned in the long wrong that Quattro maybe more in maintenance than the fwdd. Also I feel like monthly insurance would be more. Not sure.
You will really only “feel” the Quattro if you’re going fast and throw it around corners. And it will give you much more safety in wet or winter condition. So consider the Quattro if the weather condition is not so good where you live.
i spend about 900 a month for car payment plus insurance(the s3 and an old 2003 daily, s3 have full insurance and daily only had liability) and on top of that i just spend money on 93 octane gas. i put in 30 to 50 a week for gas usually. i bought audi care and maintenance was taken care of by dealer but i don't really recommend it because they would ONLY perform the service on schedule which is either 10k miles or 1 full year. the first oil change i had a shop do it for me at around 3500 miles and they charged 80 bucks synthetic. i barely drove my car for the first 2 and a half years so i just followed that audi care schedule and later on i drove a lot. the car needed brake pads which wasn't much(if you order them from rockauto) at about 30k miles.
Nothing like traffic on the CIP lol....and that's not even real traffic ha. But nice car man, I'm going to be picking up a 2.0t quattro myself (with stage 1 tune plans). I considered the S3 but trying to keep a budget for a home in the next year. Any thing I should look out for with the Quattro system?
thanks for the comment! make sure to check the haldex system if you're planning to pick up a used one. known issues on these cars where the front wheels just keep spinning and no traction going to the rear wheels(people first find out by launching their cars actually, then they plug the obd eleven device to read if there are any codes). also check the oil level, seen other people's 2.0t burn a lot of oil. it's a hit or miss because with both of these issues but they're the most common i would say. my s3 had been fine though with the haldex and throughout the years with no significant loss of oil it's always been about the full mark but doesn't hurt to double check.
Yea, hadn't heard that before. I went back in his video to listen to that piece, it's at the 3:00 minute mark. Checking freedom pop, I see 200 MB a month free now, not 500 MB
Seriously considering buying this over a Tesla model 3 since I can pick one up for about 30k vs spending 45-50k on Model 3 especially with gas prices as low as they are.
Just wondering. Have you ever encountered the audi pre sense failure with a system malfunction warning ⚠️ I've already had this recalled twice and it still keeps going on...?
If I was to and get one my self, and it's from 2014 and driven 250.000mils is that bad for the engien ? the dealer says it's long roadtrips, and his and olderly guye. kind regards
I have the 2015 S3 (purchased new) with no issues only had to replace tires. I do follow the recommended maint services. I have to admit that I have not driven as much since the pandemic as I work remote now but love this car.
bro why are you getting one with so many miles? just to say you have an audi and pretend to be loaded. If you cant afford the car with low miles, then you cant afford the cars maintenance.
Don't know if you still want an answer, but you have to factor in that an attached camera will feel bumps differently than you will. He did explain a bit how the suspension actually is, and coming from someone on coilovers (me), I'm sure it's not bad at all. If you've never had a car with a sportier suspension, yes it will seems bad at first, but you'll get used to it soon enough. Is it harder than other cars, probably, but this isn't a Camry; it's made to be sporty. Sporty cars often have stiffer suspensions, but that doesn't make them uncomfortable.
AllThingsAviation so this card can give a s3 without tech package navigation? Please explain I have a 2017 s3 with no Navi, you talking a dollar a month I’m super interested. Thanks!
Carlos Luevanos it’s actually just a dollar for the SIM card not per month. The data they give you is a small amount per month for free. It would only be enough for google maps. Don’t think you can do anything else with that small amount of data. They charge one penny for account maintenance monthly. My car had the tech pack with nav not sure it would work with your car. Anyway I just plugged in the SIM card and had to do something in the MMI and it worked. Search up “freedompop sim” on audizine a3/s3 sub forum that’s where I found out what I needed to do in the mmi.
