I literally came to this video after watching an interview of her on the Crown to see what accent she would use in the 90s. Interesting to see that her accent changes depending on where she is
Of all famous people I know, she's probably the one whose beauty most consistently and amazingly developed with her over time. While doing this interview, it must have been challenging to not totally fall in love on the spot - the beauty is very much not only on the outside.
I got so confused when I saw her in English roles recently and was amazed about her British English. Turns out that's her original accent. So weird that she can switch between them and call both her own. At this time, apparently she didn't even call the British one her own.
She spoke an English accent in her everyday life when young, believe me. She lived in England from 2-11 yrs old until moving back to US. She visited England regularly throughout this period, her parents owned a holiday house on the UK. She now has lived in England for pretty much 20 adult years, and still does with her family. She’s so much more natural speaking with her English accent than Americans accent, she seems so uncomfortable, not trying to slip into an English Accent when she’s speaking with Americans. Shame.
You don’t maintain an accent of a particular region when you leave at age 2. She play into it because i believe she thinks it makes her more interesting
Gillian Anderson on x files was a goddess like I don’t think I had ever seen a woman so beautiful as her
Literally. She has a very unique face. And she aged like a fine wine
Relax you detrimentally ignorant, myopic, lame, obsessive, et al....fool
She is so beautiful

Gillian is still Beautiful, but in the 90s She Was A Goddess Among Men.
Gorgeous woman who's aged like a fine wine.

She was born here in the us but spent her formative years in England.
Dio mio, quant'è bella Gillian! ❤️
Yowza, I kinda forgot how absolutely gorgeous and sexy she was during the x-files heyday. Still beautiful though.
Poor thing she looks exhausted
?
Jelous maybe
I'm in love with this lady 💋 💋
She does her British accent now 😂
I'm in love.
Very Beautiful woman.
How do I tell my girlfriend that I have been in love with the agent Scully since long before I met her?
Found! Elisabeth Moss in the 1990s!
Moss is nowhere near as pretty as Anderson
So her accent now is fake?
It's fluid...
British accent is easy.
Overdone ones are yeah, but if you don't want to sound like you are either overly posh or a roadman you'll struggle to do impressions I imagine.

Right?! Just like my friend that left Ohio when he was 8 thinks he can still stand the cold just to look “cool”
She shifted to London, England at age 2 and stayed there till she was about 11. That's your formative years, which is why she had the British accent
You don't know anything about her motivations. Your view is nonsense.
She moved to England at 2 yo but returned back to states at 11 yo
You never lose an accent it comes out randomly.
