i just like watching you do things becuase i do live in the country with a 76 foot well with a static at 12 foot and how i can fix thngs when i have problems, thanks for sharing your videos
I'm from Norway and I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now, and I really enjoy it. Although we in most ways are very much alike, it's interesting to see how you do trades and other stuff over in the US. Greetings from Norway. 🙂
Thanks for another excellent presentation. I have a couple of quick questions. Why is the most expensive pump on your website not voltage rated? Why are the 110v pumps more than the 220v? I'm pretty sure my pump is a 1/2 hp 220v but obviously haven't pulled it yet.I get a fair amount of sand in the filter so I want a replacement ready if it should fail. Thanks for your time. I have been watching many of your videos and spread the word about how informative they are. best of luck, take care of your body. At 30, 40, 50, etc your body will let you know you need to take things easier. Ask your dad, lol. I will always buy my pumps from you.
@MakeitZUPER i honestly don't know why 115v pumps are more expensive, they cost me roughly 20-25% more. I'd say because less are made in production so the overall cost is higher. Also amps are higher do id assume the internals are different to handle the 115v amp load. Id always use 240v pumps if you can! This home had no space left in the breaker box to add to
If it were mine, (and without seeing the condition of the electric panel) I'd have popped in a 240v breaker and tied it into the existing Romex....might as well cut your amp draw in half and let the motors run cooler.
If you’re doing anything wrong I suspect your Dad would be the first to point that out. I’m sure he’s seen plenty of accidents. Perhaps a Deburring Tool would be an asset in your plumbing toolbox. I immediately thought of that when you were under the house.
@jamesamaya5624 we did geothermal at our homes & business. But air units have caught up & its just too easy to do air to air. Geothermal units themselves are getting built cheap & we replaced 2 that were only 10 years old, nothing is made quality anymore...
@Doubie. the old well would pass bacteria tests & the state had involvement in the property making this update a necessity. They kept adding bleach and it kept failing.
@@h2omechanic gotcha top soil bacteria from it being that shallow that’s understandable I was only half paying attention because I was mulching leaves maybe you said it after you showed the well and said you didn’t know why they wanted a new one

@h2omechanic okay thanks, I live in New Zealand and love watching your videos and love learning the different ways you do things. I mainly install water systems and bore pump systems for house hold and agricultural use and love the small tricks and tips that I've learnt watching your videos.
If you want to talk about breaking your wrist then use an old Milwaukee, question do you have a hearing problem? But keep working you said there's a lot of work to do.😮
Great Video, You Always put all the Information you can in to it! Thanks Again!
You're an honest hard-working fella...ignore the trolls. Not many can do what you do. God bless you and yours.❤

Keep it up what you do when you can. Don't feel like you own anyone anything here. You videos are very well done with information.
I was going to say you are using the awesome Auger! "It takes the hard work, out of yard work!" Billy Mays here! LOL Nice follow up video.

Ignore the negative comments...you always do such clean work and I know you take pride. Keep up the great work and videos
Wow, im amazed you are able to do all this without an office person. I hope you get one. Take care of yourself. I enjoy your content 👍
That's criminal sealing up a good well, always good to have backups, I would think
It's not legal to leave it open because it's big health risk.

You and Mike work well together, a good team!
You're doing more by just being you. thanls forbeing the way are.
Another job well done!
Thanks for your videos on this topic. I've learned a lot, and I'm glad someone like you is willing to share their expertise and precious time.
You just keep doing you! ❤ you’re content!
😂 I literally thought my phone was ringing while watching this....I have the same ring tone.
Nice job boys! That was a pain to drill, glad on the good outcome!
I Always enjoy your videos!

Small trick with the drill and auger: use the torque limiter on the drill, even the highest setting can do wonder to protect your wrist.
Nice job!

I would have kept that old well for watering the lawn and such.
I broke my hand with one of those two months ago on a wired drill
If that well was up north, you would still be digging to find the bottom of that footer.
I have a farm with a shallow well hand drove in 80ft the only problem is water nitrate levels in the spring spikes other than that great water.

if they have the room in the breaker upping to 240 is just a breaker swap
Well happy birthday to your girlfriend son 🎉
Can i ask why dont you use a deburring tool for removing those lips / edges of the pvc pipe ? I always see you struggling with the cutting tool.
@@Kwomkwommr just how I've been doing it for years. If i had new cutters, there's no edge/lip .

Have you considered doing geothermal wells?

It would be interesting to know if that jet pump and small tank being bad had a role in them drilling that new well out front

That is a tiny liquid end on that pump.
I totally hope I’m wrong, but there’s a chance of sink hole in the future?
@Jameson4327 totally possible, but not really bc water is filling any possible void

@@jetegtmeier71 a hard winter here is 2 months of 22⁰. Most are 30-36⁰
If I’m not mistaken the minimum depth on water lines in NC is 12”. 18 in Va where I’m at.
Why not re wire the pump with a length of cable where the joint is well above the water level? This is a failure point that many wells suffer from...
The system is amazing. The drilling was atrocious!!! As far as you, maintain your sanity.
what kind of SQE pump was that? 1-50? 2-85?
@Ycat_oe it's a SQ 160. Not SQE

You freak me out using that saw drill bit without a string to catch if it comes off 😅
I don’t recommend using brass pex fittings on a well water system.
Why is that???
