    Calling anything Golden Horde related from the early 14th century onwards "Mongol" is kinda ahistorical since the Mongol identity of the horde from aristocracy to subjects completely vanished for Turkic (Kipchak) after Ozbeg Khan's reign

    Popularly called The Golden Horde, the domains of the heirs of Jochi were not known by that name. The term ‘Golden Horde’ does not enter the sources until the sixteenth century, when Russian chroniclers referred to the domains as Zolotaia Orda, the Golden Camp or Palace.¹ During the Mongol era, they were known as the Kipchak Ulus or Khanate or the Jochid Ulus or Khanate. The Kipchak Khanate appellation came later and was a substitution for the Dasht-i Kipchak, or the Kipchak Steppes.

    In a strictly historical sense, however, it is most frequently used for the Turkic (mainly Kipchak) tribes who constituted the bulk of the Mongol army that invaded Russia in the early thirteenth century.

      In the first place Mongols attacked Russia because they didn’t hand over Kypshak who fleed away and hidden in Russia , so I can’t understand your logic. Why would Kypshaks would be the bulk of the army when they were being chased by Mongols 😂

    Among modern Tatars, descendants from elite clans of the Golden Horde belong to haplogroup R1b1a1a-M73 (Akchurin et al. 2018).
    Moreover they had Turkic origins, specially from the Merkit tribe.

    The Golden Horde was not a typical mongol empire but a Turkic empire, Jochi was usually a Merkit prince whose tribe were of Turkic origin and were actually Christian before the rise of Genghis Khan.

    • @tulgaericson4550
      @tulgaericson4550 ปีที่แล้ว

      there's a clear debate about Jochi claiming he's an actual son of Temujin (Genghis Khan) or a Merkit prince. I lean towards he's the actual son of Temujin but with slight doubts (like 60-40ish). and I don't think so. At that time, only the Khereids were Nostorian christian.

    Antes de morrer, Gentis dividiu seu grande império entre seus 4 filhos. Seu filho Batu kan pegou a parte mais ao ocidente (Asia central, Russia e algumas partes leste europeu). Batu até tentou dominar mais e avançou bastante na Europa, porém a campanha parou quando Oguedei (filho de Gêngis que era o Khan atual) morreu e eles tiveram que ir pra Mongolia decidir quem seria o novo líder (batucan já estava próximo da Itália, essa volta salvou a Europa dos mongols)
    Batucan criou a horda dourada, com a capital na Rússia. Quando ele morreu, o declinei no poder mongol criou oportunidade para os príncipes e nobres de russ Kiev gerar revoltas nas comunidades islâmicas e regiões controladas pela horda dourada. Então as forças dos outros kanatos foram enviadas para mandar uma mensagem aos rebeldes. Os Russ então se arrependeram e o irmão de Batucan (Burke kan) virou o novo líder....
    Acho que a Horda dourada foi um dos últimos kanatos a cair. Porém o enfraquecimento dos Mongols e divisão do império, os islavos conseguiram recuperar suas terras
