When you don’t know ur native language that well, anxiety kicks in when trying to talk to native speakers u aren’t comfortable with. Visiting your home country is very stress inducing when it comes to speaking. My parents taught me to speak fluently and yet, I still get anxiety when talking with natives.

For anyone wondering the reason the lifeguard blew the whistle at them is because Korean lakes and oceans aren't like the US the water can go from 2 feet to 15 feet in an inch. Thats why running into the water like that is soo dangerous. You have to be cautious. Some people have drowned because the water was so deep and their feet just went under. This is coming from a korean herself.

ohhhhh thats scary! i know this happens sometimes in cali beaches, where there's big hills and holes in the sand when u get into the deeper parts its easy to slip into the holes (which i experienced multiple times which was scary but not too big of hole to make me drown) but from 2 feet to 15 feet?? I can't imagine how confusing and absolutely HORRIFYING that must be.
