    Do you have a video on pattern recognition like you use here to align the 2 seams?

      That is different on every piece of carpet, it is something that the individual just has to spot for themselves.

      Jerrid Hawkins lol I used a commercial carpet seam sealer and not all seam sealers have UV tracing in it because of if someone was wanting to put carpet in a nightclub or something like that where there was going to be black lights they would not want their seems to show up under the lighting henceforth not all sealers have GV Tracy, I have never seen a commercial carpet sealer that does have UV Tracy, even some of the thermal sealers don’t have EV tracing, thank you for watching Though and thank you for the compliment

    This very carpet I've laid many big jobs and the sewing will cause problems especially on 50 ft + seams!!!

    Thanks for the video. Would you use the same method on a long seam out in the field? I'm laying a commercial carpet in my basement and was going to do a doublecut, but there's quite a pattern to it. (so I've been delaying the install) The carpet get's real thin along the edges and there's an odd pattern of white dots along one edge. Didn't know if there was a special purpose to that.

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A long seam needs to be row cut, I have multiple videos of that and you will need to cut over into your carpet enough until it feels nice and full, the white yarns showing on the ends of the carpet it’s just part of the salvage edge which will be cut off when you Make your seam

      @@FloorsbySouthernboys I realize now the mistake I made. I cut both 18' lengths of carpet, but didn't consider any shift on the second piece to pattern match. Hopefully I get lucky.
