The gall of that kid to speak to the victim's mother like that showcases some concerning issues underneath.
Kids are getting dumber by the generation. Most have horrible grammar, suck at math, and have no respect for their "elders".
Nah bruhh it doesn't.
@@terry85mar you'll understand when you grow up
How sad. It sounds like her mom had good instincts about him, but he ultimately won the power struggle. 😢
Agree! I think he told her that they should run away together and took the money she withdrew after he kiIIed her. They may not have much evidence against him, but it's pretty obvious it was him.
I don’t think they ever planned to run away together. I think he probably planned to kill her.
I agree.
I think that was how he told her things were going to go in order to have an alibi for her disappearance. It put the police and prosecution in a bind because it cast doubt. I also wonder if she was pregnant and that's why she was sick. I suspect he thought he could claim she ran away and that would allow him to neatly clean up the problem and pretend to know nothing about it. She was probably thinking they would finally be together but it was all a ruse to kill her and make her disappear. Sad but this happens a lot.
@@AnaLucia-wy2ii Yes but the body wasn't found for three years and it could have been in the first few weeks of pregnancy. She obviously wasn't showing, or showing signs like Heather Elvis was, so it would likely have been earlier of this theory is correct. There has to have been a trigger for these events and I suspect that this might have been it. Or maybe she told him she thought she was. Either way it is often the case in these situations. See the case about the teenage girl from the UK that was murdered by her older boyfriend like this. She told him she was pregnant and he recognized he was about to get in trouble so he killed her. It turned out she was making it up or wrong about the pregnancy. Her body was found almost immediately though. This case took three whole years to locate the remains and anything that was left would have been skeletal remains. It takes a while for a fetus to reach the stage where it would leave that kind of traces.
He's innocent bruhh.
I wasn’t close to Megan for a few years when this happened, but she was a bright ray of sunshine in the world. We all miss her.
That there is one guy who should never rock long hair. Absolutely criminal.
😂😂😂 agree !
IKR...he looks sleazy, but in his defense, he is sleazy!
I've said it before and I'll say it again--if it waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck, it's definitely a man who killed his love interest.
Or, as is increasingly common, a woman who did.
Unless both of them go missing at the same time which looks like one probably murdered the other and fled. I can't remember which true crime story it was, but that one was one of the most memorable "plot twists". After a couple was reported missing, the police found a woman dead in a forest next to an abandoned camp site and her husband was nowhere to be found. The police assumed it was the husband because they couldn't find any sign of him and I think they had reported sighting of him in far away places or something. After years of this someone finally found his remains a few miles or something from the campsite deeper in the woods. I can't remember how but it was obvious he had been murdered and they just hadn't found the body for years and years. I think he was shot with the same gun in the back or he was tied up or something and the gun wasn't there so it became obvious some serial killer had been operating. I think they linked it to another murder that happened after the couple were killed.
@@LlamaOccidentmy first thought was Jay Cook and Tanya Van Cuylenborg, but I think in that case their bodies were found pretty close together (time-wise anyway). If you remember who they were I'd be interested in looking them up.
@@LlamaOccidenton second thought, I'm wondering if that would be the case of Mike Riemer & Diana Robertson. They were part of a series of killings called "The Tube Sock Murders."
Nah bruhh he's innocent.
Why must it end in murder? Whatever happened to breaking up?
He's evil. He wanted to hurt her family.
@@Lucy-ym8ch- I agree 👍

His dad should have went to prison as well cause u know he had a hand in this terrible crime!
He wanted to hurt her mother in the worst way possible. He got off on it. The same way he got off on manipulating and controlling people, specifically younger girls. A complete psychopath.
Even Dr Grande reading how he confronted the mother in a even keeled tone I got psychopath vibes from him. So much so that I immediately thought if I was her father I'd have to take care of this kid (not physically harm him, but find a way to ruin his life). Like I'd probably plant drugs on his car and call in an "anonymous" tip.
Even in his mug shot he has those shark eyes where they're just dead.
Exactly this. Evil.
oh ####, I didn't even think of that. He did it to hurt the mother!! Why can't I think of these things? :) Seriously, some are like detectives on here and i'm always clueless :)
Oh well
@@markmike7933 to be fair I watched a dateline on this story and it went deeper into the events prior to the murder. He spent so much time trying to poison the relationship between Megan and her mom so that he could have full control over Megan.
Yes, this thought process is common amongst men, unfortunately.
It's one thing to lose your child but to not even know WHAT HAPPENED is just so heartbreaking. I bet if his dad had not been a police officer, the boyfriend would have been arrested a lot sooner! This is just so tragic. I pray for her mother's sleep, peace and mind.
I watched something on this case and the way he bullied an underage girls mom, for months, was stunning.
A district attorney decided to hold off on pressing charges because his father is a police officer? You really think that’s how things work in the United States?
@@michaelperez9966 Well the first test the cops tested from the trunk it came back as "not blood", so it really does seem like something was off.
@@michaelperez9966 you can't be serious!!
The DA couldn’t file charges because the cops really didn’t want to investigate a state trooper’s son. The perp could have been arrested for screwing an underage girl, but the blue line extended to him as well. It wasn’t until the FBI took over that the local cops couldn’t drag their feet and cover it up. The first blood sample that had the false positive outcome was tested by the Illinois State Police crime lab, the same Illinois State Police that the perp’s dad worked for.
Young teenage girls just don't think sometimes and are too trusting! So grateful that mine came out of that age unscathed! That could be anyone's daughter! Super interesting case, Dr. Grande! You always knock it out of the park!

I love that he thought he got away with it, and then got got not too far after.
When I was in the Marines we had a guy UA (unauthorized absence, same as AWOL) and when they called him he was like "I'm so far north you'll never find me". The guys sent to go pick him up and arrest him were telling me this story and we all were laughing and I was like "where is he originally from?" and they said Florida so I said you're going there to look for him right? and of course they did and that's exactly where they found him lol
If someone no longer doesn't want to be in the military, why does the military force them to stay? Sounds like a cult and should not be legal.
Judging from his pics can see why jury didn't like him. Agree with your great points on this sad case. Thanks Dr G😊🧡🧡
I don't think there's any amount of money someone could pay me to relive my teenage years. Being a teen is so hard. Thankfully, when my daughter was a preteen, I came across a book called "Yes, your teen is crazy." It was life changing. I buy it as a gift for my friends who have teenage kids.

(14:47) There are many adults who still operate in this way. Feelings & emotionally driven. Everything centered around their emotions/feelings. To the point that they are incapable of logic and reason. Some of them refer to it as, "my truth."
There is no such thing as "my truth" or "your truth." There is the truth, and people can have opinions and feelings about the truth.
Some people might feel offended by this, even go bonkers.
And ironically it seems to get worse as they get older
They're called narcissists.
I absolutely abhor people who use that phrase “my truth”. I know exactly what kind of person I’m dealing with if they utter that phrase. I nope right out so I don’t have to hear their “truth “.😂
@l.l.storrie3851
I "NOPE out," too 😄 There are a few other phrases, terms that are similarly used that shuts it off for me. I can't take that person or what they are saying seriously. I'm not going to participate in that silliness.
My 83 yo narcissistic mother(she has all 12 characteristics) said that it was her truth when I confronted her about an outlandish lie she told on me. It made me so angry that no one called to ask me about it. She has been dividing our family for at least 50 yrs and I’m 62. Her sister has very much the same personality, they seem to be stuck in third grade. “If u like them, I can’t talk to u but I will spread lies about u” next week it’s musical chairs if u don’t agree with them…u R IT”. I hated my dad for not putting a stop to it but he finally escaped after dying of stomach cancer when he was 52. He smoked so much and I understood why.
I’m only 2:30 minutes in and I ain’t judging nobody. When my baby girl was 12 she took a shine to a 16 year old boy. I had a chat with his father and explained that if his boy was ever at my house, he could find him in a mineshaft. Unexpectedly, his son found a new love interest. 😂😂😂
I’d have gone to the cops
Glad it worked. Too many put the responsibility on the younger girl when it is the older boy who should be backing off.
@@beachgirl2.193Wonder how often that works since these days cops don't want to get involved in affairs that have no crime (yet) and feel it is the parents responsibility.
@@beachgirl2.193 It’s not their job, I’m the parent, it’s my job. Supreme Court ruled that the job of law enforcement is not to protect you from crime, but arrest the bad guys after they commit the crime. My job. To me it sounds like he lured her into thinking they’d run away together, hence the note/money. Then he killed her either at her home or “on the way” to leaving.
Thank you for talking about this case Dr Grande. The few things I’ve heard it’s very sad.
Right. So she killed herself and then after she died, dug a hole and put herself in it, then covered herself up. Okey dokey then.
A political figure in my country went missing. He was found 2 days later. His body was partially burnt (on a patch of grass about 50 meters from where it had been set alight), gunshot wound to the head and a broken femur. Pathologist report: he unalived himself. He shot himself in the head, broke his femur, set himself ablaze then walked 50 meters on a broken femur and died.
Apparently, injured and dead people are more talented than we ever knew.
What an overachiever she was
Sincere condolences to her family and friends. She was a beautiful girl and didn't deserve that
Dear Dr Grande, a brilliant analysis and a great choice of subject matter. Very tragic that Megan was murdered and that the killer will now spend almost all if not all of his life incarcerated. I think this is correct as i consider he would would be a danger to society. Kind regards.
It is so sad that Megan felt a need to be with such a terrible guy.
I wish Meghan had a father that stepped up to have a chat with Brody. My daughter had a date once by a user. I spoke with his father and even his sister sided with my daughter. Although he thought he was a womanizer he later came out of the fruit bin. It was a Sadie Hawkins dance and he had to pay for his shirt and 1/2 of the date. It hurt and embarrassed my daughter. That was 20 years ago. She has such a good husband and 3 red headed daughters ❤️. I only wish Meghan could’ve had a chance to grow up and see what life held for her.
The introduction is so informative that I had to rewind 19 times to understand the case information. I'm a little slow
No sometimes I feel like he glosses over a lot of events and it makes it hard to follow the narrative. I was watching one video a couple days ago and in the same breath he said a couple was doing better than ever and then that they were in a bitter custody dispute. In reality those events were probably weeks if not months apart
I want to thank you for hours of interesting content to watch. ❤

Okay, I was wondering if she was strangled, how did all of the blood get in the back of his trunk?
I thought the same.
Not long after death, blood comes out the nose and mouth if you're not gentle enough with the corpse. It's thick, dead blood.
Another fantastic video from the great Dr Grande!
Question: if the autopsy suggested she died of strangulation, where would the blood in the trunk have come from?
Awesome content as always. Love you Dear Dr Grande ❤️❤️❤️
Dr Grande can you please look at the case in Sydney where two young men were brutally murdered this week by a stalker- who happens to be a cop? It's really big in the news. Victims are Jesse Baird and his partner. So senseless and tragic!

Hi Dr. Grande! I would love to know your thoughts about the Owasso high schoolers death. Well, not necessarily their death. But more so why you think the media has ran with this story? I live there and my husband works for the city. The autopsy is complete and it was an overdose on ‘F’. However, the media seems to be painting it as almost a hate crime of their fight in the bathroom that caused the death. OPD and the coroner have both said there was no trauma and the death is unrelated to the fight but for some reason, that’s not being reported very often. This is the first time I’ve been close to one of these huge media stories and I’m… perplexed by the media. Not sure if this is something you’d talk about or not! I’m just curious! Thanks 😊
Oh yeah, I've been seeing posts about and the first one I saw was "teenagers death from overdose, not violence" or something like that and then everything I saw after that was like "this was a hate crime!" lol
I think that's called wishcasting, when you report the news as you wish it was, not as reality is.
@@Aaron-kj8dv yeah, the family originally put on Facebook that it was an overdose.. but when the story started getting some traction, those comments were deleted. Screenshots are making their rounds here because people think it’s suspicious they were deleted. The family lawyered up and said they were waiting for the full autopsy and toxicology reports first but touched on the bullying and the fight that occurred. Watching this story being twisted has been bizarre to watch
@@Aaron-kj8dv I like that - "wishcasting". SO much of 'journalism' is just that.
I'm looking at it as a suicide caused by bullying. The school was awful, and police didn't help either. I'll guess 58 million
@@dawnpence3248 but you’re 100% speculating how you want the situation to be and that’s the problem. You can’t put a story to an overdose and make it a fact. They had a history of substance use and is the only one that would be able to tell us why they were using. The part that almost completely disproves your theory.. is her toxicology report and what they overdosed on. They had other drugs in their system, but nothing anywhere close to a lethal amount other than fent. (We know it takes a small amount of it to OD on) Which points to this being an accidental overdose. Most likely, they got ahold of something that was laced with it and didn’t know. It’s tragic either way, but if someone is to be blamed, it needs to be who they got it from.. which is currently being worked on.

Forensic scientists can easily tell the difference between menstrual blood and regular blood from a blood vessel. I wonder if they presented that kind of evidence to the court in order to refute what he said about the t-shirt? 🤗🇲🇽🌵
In an investigation, initially the investigative agency, and later when the case gets to the prosecution, strategic decisions are made. There would be no point in testing the blood to disprove defendant's claim, because it doesn't matter. Menstrual blood on a shirt wouldn't get under a liner, because there's not enough of it. It's irrelevant and doesn't present a reasonable explanation that would need to be disproved. If it was tested, it could seem to a jury that the prosecution thought there was a possibility/reasonable doubt that this occurred and work against them.
@Gilbert Pinfold, thanks for that great “aclaración” (I’m really sorry, I don’t know how to say that in English). I don’t know how much blood they actually found, but it is certainly true that it would not be under the mat.

After a person dies, fluids leak out of orifices.

And why was it under the trunk liner, but not on top, or detectable anywhere else? How was the DNA still salvageable after all that time? And why did law enforcement miss it the first time, but conveniently find it after kick-starting the case again?

Very sad. I hadn't heard about this young girl. Thank you for posting as always. 💔💔💔
I always get a chuckle when you say that the jury deliberation was short, but then give a time measured in hours. However, that is probably just me, as I remember an episode of the documentary series "Great Crimes and Trials of the Twentieth Century" that examined John Haigh, the acid bath murderer. The jury at John Haigh's trial returned a verdict of guilty after only deliberating for twelve minutes. I also remember reading about Albert Guay, who had his mistress place a bomb on an aircraft that his wife would be flying on, because getting a divorce at the time, in Quebec, required the passage of a private members' bill in the Quebec National Legislature. The jury at Albert Guay's trial deliberated for a mere four minutes, before returning a verdict of guilty.
Funny, there was no mention of the fact that his FATHER was a state trooper and essentially pushing for his son's innocence. Probably how the first blood teste came up negative. Not to mention his stepmother died in mysterious circumstances years prior. The whole family is currupt.

It give me the vibes that he manipulate her to think that they were going to run away, but in reality he was just planning to murder her
Or maybe they were but she balked so he killed her.
Many teenagers today have the mistaken belief that they are adults. They are led to believe this many times by school counselors, teachers and administrators who focus on the teens' "rights" rather than their obligations and many times are competing with parents for the teens' attention and loyalty. The young people become convinced that the center of their lives rests in their social group located in the school. When they are convinced that their parents are depriving them of something to which they are entitled they feel justified in taking drastic action to secure their perceived "rights".
The question is, did anything really change? I’m 40 but the same could be said when I was teenager. All generations think the new one is worse than the previous was. At the same time, it is said that there is nothing new under the sun.
Teenagers lack frontal cortex brain that helps to understand risks and consequences of their actions. So adults in charge guide them to make informed choices they reject.
Big fan here ❤❤ I would love to see a video about Robert E. Howard. Better known as the creator of Conan the Barbarian!!!

How about "The Case of Guy Heinze Jr"?
Dr Grande, can you please cover the case of Brandi Worley. I would love to hear your analysis.
Dr Grande, have you covered Bowen Turner? He’s an entitled SC man who was accused of multiple sexual assaults. His family is well connected and his attorney is a state senator (aka lawyer legislator) who ultimately decides on whether the judge should keep their job. The whole story is sad. His first known victim took her life because she was bullied so badly by everyone from the press, her professors, fellow students and she decided to end her life. When he was out on probation he assaulted another girl and she pressed charges. He then assaulted another girl. He got a sweat heart of a deal and is already back out roaming the streets.
I’d really be interested in your thoughts on Bowen Turner. His attorney is good friends with Alex Murdaugh.
That's crazy while I was reading your comment the first thing I thought about was how the power dynamic is similar to the Murdaugh dynasty. Men like Bowen don't stop preying on the innocent until someone stops him with a bullet. Here's to hopeful thinking!
"When teenagers believe that they are in love, they lose the small quantity of rational thinking skills they possess"
That certainly was me all those years ago - haha !!
Nope. I believe he coerced her to run away under a ruse of him also wanting to run away together. This is similar to another murder of a pregant woman. Her cheating lover told her they will run away together but instead he murdered her and dumped her and unborn baby along with her suitcase in a field. This guy never meant to go with her, he wanted to stay with his other lover and get rid of the other woman. This ruse made it look like the person left on their own accord and draws attention away from the murderous bf/lover.
I think he intended to murder her and encouraged her in a running away fantasy. But i don't think she was ever intending to run away, so he killed her and staged it by breaking into her room. He used her ATM card.
There's no reason why menstrual blood would have squirted under the trunk liner in quantities large enough to be detectable so long after.
A girl her age having such a heavy period wiuld likely have diagnosed gynae issues but sex would not be pleasant or comfortable and nobody would willingly engage in very messy, unpleasant and unromantic sex in a car, knowing they'd have to get out likely both covered in it, unless that's their kink. I can't see how it would be romantic or enjoyable. I don't believe it for a moment.
Parents aren't always right, but I believe you have to respect their experience and intuition. Mom instinctively knew something was off with this kid. Yet, her daughter could not understand or respect her wishes and she paid the price for it.
At least she got closure for the death of her baby girl. As someone in the comments mentioned, to never find out what happened to your child must be the ultimate punishment anyone can suffer. A lifetime of guilt and regret, never knowing, never understanding, always wondering.
May she rest in peace.
