- Woo boy, That episode was quite the big one. Lot's of development, lots of progression. Senti-reveal. Gabe as Monarch reveal. And yet despite that I can't help but feel a little bit apprehensive as to the future of the show and the finale as well. Regardless, this episode. It was actually quite good. I'm just worried it wont last.
So felix discovered the entire plot of miraculous 😂
He knows that he and adrien are sentimonsters
He knows where emile agresete is
He knows the main villains identity hawkmoth
And he knows the main heros identity ladybug
Felix wins Miraculous lol

I will say that it felt EXTREMELY satisfying to see Chat Noir beat up on Gabe. During the scenes with them fighting you could just hear the venom from Adrien. He is finally able to say all the things on his mind to his father and you can just tell that he is so fed up with how he has been treated. Also Gabriel being hit in the face with a tray was the best part of the episode. I laughed so hard.

I wish Cat noir did more. Its so sad that Adrien is not allowed to find out things. The story is mostly about his family, so its weird how he is underutilized. Still an epic episode.😅

It's such a compelling story to have Marinette know more about Adrien's family and about Adrien himself. I bet she will tell Alya as well. Such a satisfying story!!!!

Marinette definitely knew exactly the identity of the Monarch in this story.. I'll have to do a review and analysis of all the plot subtleties.

Everytime Felix shows up in an episode, you know it's gonna be good. This guy single-Handley advanced the plot so much, and was responsible for Gabe getting all of the miraculous last season finale, and is gonna be responsible for the final showdown between Gabe and Marianntee this season finale.
If u (probably have) knew spoiler, felix don't even help LB against hawkmoth. And there's not an explanation for it. It's not like felix is controlled by hawkmoth. But after reveal everything. He just toss the work for LB?

I don't like chloe for many reasons but her backstory makes sense to her bc it explains why her mum wasn't in season 1, why she has no friends etc. felix's was so obviously forced there in season 5 and is just so ''dramatic and sad'' that it's like ''he had the worst childhood ever now feel bad for him 🥺.''

Initially, he was jealous of Adrien figuring he had all the best in life while he suffered but after he seen how Adrien was just as trapped as him, he worked to make sure his plans included saving his cousin. Idk, Felix was never a baddie to me. An anti hero maybe
How do you know Chloe won’t get a future redemption arc in a later season?

It's crazy to me how Felix is the first character to find all the answers to these questions:
Who is Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/ Monarch?
Who is a sentimonster?
Why is Gabriel Agreste doing this?
Where is Emily Agreste?
Who is Ladybug?
Kagami find Ladybug's identity
Thing is... there has to be some reason Adrian isn't allowed to discover these things. Some mandate the writers are following.
To make a long discussion short, Adrian and Cat Noir are never allowed to eclipse Ladybug in any respect. For some reason, despite his family being central to the Story, he's sidelined entirely.
As a character he's been poorly used.
Felix on the other hand, seems to be the stand in for Adrian, or what we want Adrian to be. He's good at combat, and a far more developed person then Adrian. It's like felix is everything Adrian should have become by now.
I feel like the writers are using felix as a stand in because they can't or won't let Adrian take the spot light.
I'm willing to bet Cat Noir isn't even allowed to show up for the final confrontation with Hawkmoth. I'll bet you Ladybug will take him down alone.
My only hope is that for season 6, with Thomas no longer writing stuff, they can give Cat Noir a story line all to himself, where he is allowed to take the spot light and actually be Ladybug's equal.
At the very least let the guy won battles on his own without needing ladybug to be there.

it’s just so weird how adrien is under this tall ass pedestal of ladybug when without him there wouldn’t even be a story like pttf. it’s his dad that’s the main villain, his cousin that’s an antihero/plot development, and it’s HIM going up against his father/natalie (sometimes) and marinette was just basically born to fix and repair it all, and falling in love with adrien makes total sense and gives him more screen time but cmon don’t have so much weight on one side of the scale we need an episode just fully dedicated to adri/chat and just one battle where only he just goes full clap and with a lil bit of ladybugs help but idk 😅
Yeah I get that he needs more screen time, but I really think they should focus more on his strengths as Adrien.
Adrien has the least freedom as his civilian self, so I'd really like an episode just dedicated to him with some sort or character development, possibly outside of the rings.
Cat Noir fighting alone can happen more often too, but if Ladybug is not in the fight and just cleanses the Akuma, she has no reason to use her lucky charm. And no lucky charm means no miraculous ladybug means no damage reverse. And I think she said somewhere that the lucky charm is specific to every fight so she can't just summon one after a fight is over and then use that to heal the damage from a previous fight (when they went to new york and paris was destroyed or smth)
Side note: Felix has my favorite look out of all the characters, given that it's not a bodysuit like the other teens. Though I wish they nixxed the hood.
I think the hood is cool, it’s better than getting his hair which I don’t think he’d want to reveal himself OR the other look of baldness which is even worse.

Honestly I think the hood would've worked better if was wearing a sorcerer costume, and the sorcerer theme would make alot of sense with his powers.
I like the hood and I do like his hero design. Though the bodysuit thing is over used the designs on the bodysuits are always super 😊

My greatest fear right now is that the final showdown, which SHOULD be Ladybug AND Cat Noir VS Gabriel, is going to end up being just Ladybug on her own and that Adrien will be completely sidelined and, as a result, doesn’t find out anything. I get that it would be traumatic to find out your father was Hawkmoth this whole time, but I feel he has a right to know. He needs to be given the chance to PROCESS that. Especially after how we saw him beat on Gabriel in this episode. God that was so cathartic to watch, Adrien calling Gabriel out on being a horrible father. I NEED more of that in the finale, with Adrien fully discovering just how atrocious of a person Gabriel really was. PLEASE, writers, we need this. Stop making Adrien an afterthought.
How do you even call it to question if Adrien is going to be relevant on the finale? Ofc he won't. He will never know anything. He can't for god knows what reason.

If u watch ninjago and know about lloydrumi, and u are a writer, then u realize it will really hard to fix a twisted lloydrumi relationship, make watchers accept the broken relationship as a director

I think that Rose's worst nightmare was a unicorn getting injured because you can see some red lines that look like scars.
I kinda thought it was a unicorn being mean to her or smth cos it was looking at her in a mad way kinda idk 🤷♀️
I interpreted as something more broad, like animals getting hurt or smt like that
If u saw the animatic version, they had a lot more of a gooey look around the unicorn. It almost looked like a unicorn dying in a tar pit to me but it couldve been flames too. I guess it was too graphic for a kids show so they toned it down
I did wonder if it was a metaphor for the disease catching up to her. The death of her happiness as represented by the Unicorn. I would be generous and say that Juleka isn't just upset about her dad ditching her and clearly liking Luka better. I think she's worried she will be left alone. Jagged being just a symbol of that, sort of related to how she wants to be seen as an akuma.

Honestly, it's insulting to the whole audience. Nobody likes weak heroes regardless of gender. The only time Adrien got to be a hero was in Passion. That's why I love that episode.

I'm so confused as to why Nathalie looks way worse than Gabriel, like, how!? I do get that she got affected by the peacock's broken powers earlier, but Gabriel got hit by the most powerful force of destruction and he's just okay. Also, how come that the red dyed part of her hair is now grey? Does that mean that she's a natural firetruckredhead and dyes her hair dark blue or that she took the initiative of dying her red hair grey to make sure people see she's actually sick? Make it make sense.

About Gabriel's being "cataclysmed" (is this a word?), this makes very little sense! If the writers were true to it's meaning (power of Destruction!) Gabriel would have been dusted instantly! The argument "it affects people differently" can be countered with a well-placed "WHY?" WHY was Gabriel not vaporized instantly??? He is a living being! SOOOO??? He is slowly dying! WHY???? His life force / soul / chi / attitude / plot armor is fighting back! VS the power of DESTRUCTION??? It's like having a match (lit) fending off a tsunami, Gabriel should have been dusted instantly (period!)!!! But we wouldn't have a Season 5 so... Whatever! 😀
Isn't anybody going to talk about the fact that Ladybug couldn't undo the effects of Nightormentor's nightmare gas with Miraculous Ladybug and that Adrien, Juleka, and Rose are probably inflicted with the nightmares *permanently* as a result?! Yeesh, that's horrible to think about!

One dumb thing that bothered me about this episode - we had the build up of Marinette making her own dress for the event.... and every single other character present is in their usual clothing. Marinette, in the dress, the smeared makeup, did make for a more dramatic moment but it just looked off, given no one else put in any effort to dress up.
They didn't have enough budget to make new designs and models 😭
I can't understand why NO ONE is talking more about the fact that Adrien STILL has that cat blanc nightmare that will strongly come into his mind from now on due to ladybug not using her lucky charm in the episode

With now a total of 4 people outside of time travel knowing Marinette’s identity, there’s no reason for Adrien to know at this point as well. The other 4 knowing her identity is just as dangerous as Adrien knowing given that Marinette and Alya let it slip on their own.

I quite enjoyed the drama this episode brought. We finally got the Agreste backstory, the plot really progressing and Mari finding out Gabi is Monarch. What bugs me was what was Gabi going to do if he found Adrien and Marinette. He tried to find Mari to find Adrien. Like was he going torture Marinette until Adrien turned himself in? Was he going to torture both of them? I know Gabi is going crazy but that is really messed up to think about.
Knowing how unhinged that dipshit is, he might've. The limits he has is none. He locked his own son up in some white basement like what the fuck????
I think he was going to make Marinette live her nightmare and force Adrien to obey him if he wanted him to stop.
I wanna ask this. Was anyone satisfied with how light they made of the reveal that Kagami knew about Marinette's identity? Same thing for Marinette's reaction to Monarch's identity.

Akumas can't go through solid objects (this is shown several times in the show) and Zoey had no strong feelings for her to be akumatised while holding the jar.
@@pawu15aside from asking “where and when exactly did we see that” I also must ask, why can’t the Akuma just enter the jar anyway? Like Zoe can resist of course but the Akuma would still be there and could multiply. And I guess Gabe didn’t make use of that Akuma at all even though he could have an entire army of Akuma villains under his control. And like 5 of them could have Miraculous powers. Along with there being like no way for any of the heroes to figure out where he is. Honestly if any of that happened I guess it could be a pretty cool set up to the finale but that requires a few wrinkles in Gabe’s brain
@@dabest8777 In the episode "Startrain", Chloe traps the Akuma by sealing off the section of the train it's in. It also gets trapped in a suitcase at one point.
I do admit it’s so dumb that Kagami & Felix can know about Marinette’s secret but Luka gets written out. I just need to see it end in this season. If we can reset the world then it’ll be good to see it be completely different
Luka knew both lb and chats identity which is why he left, they only know ladybugs so far so it’s not rlly a problem (plus the season is abt to end so why would they get written out for knowing last minute..) luka just wasn’t interesting enough in the writers pov and they probably didn’t know what to do with him so 🤷

Also, why haven't that akuma multiplying like rabbit on steroid during mating season? It took less than an hour in the Origin, so what gives?

You're forgetting the sentimonster lore bro. A sentimonster can be ANYTHING! If it's meant to be human, it's human. A human, an orbital body, a camera...Felix created an INANIMATE object with his power so that doesn't count as murder. Just like the doll in Reflekdoll (or whatever) is an inanimate doll. Those things were not created to be human, they were created to be objects.
@Dixie reign Paligumba The Akuma might only multiply if the Butterfly Miraculous user activates that ability. Remeber, Gabriel did not have his Butterfly Miraculous to control the akuma. Through out the series, Gabriel never got the chance to activate the multiplying ability again because Ladybug(or another Ladybug Miraculous user) always purifies it.
@@kainightshade5033 yes, but in Pretension, Felix told Kagami that he doesn't like the term sentimonster bcs he sees them as living beings. So, even if sentimonster can be non living things, Felix personally view them as living being, so this is some severe hypocrisy from him
Unrelated but France is not a federal country, but a unitary (basically the whole country is a state, not several). Also, in many places (at least in Europe) mayors can candidate without being affiliated with any political party. Even so, some parties can still show support for a candidate even if they're independent.

@@ysarmestr9198 It's not unheard of. Romania's current PRESIDENT used to be just a normal high-school/uni teacher in an average city of the country (then he became the mayor and then the president). Tho he went pretty much independent (or from a very MINOR party), he got the backing of one of the biggest parties.
Assuming the Andre was part or backed by a political party, after the very scandal of the video clearly said party would be trying to save their faces, so supporting Caline's candidacy would be quite a grace since she is seemingly way more wholesome and trustworthy. Also, she was akumatised due to corruption and it's fair the assume in this universe the media uses these akumatisations for content. If this lady was literally akumatised due to how much she HATES corruption, that's a good selling point for the voters.

Even tough I liked this episode a lot, there were a few things that did bother me about this episode
The first thing is a more general thing about this season, but it bothers me greatly that Marinette finding out about Gabe being Monarch and the backstory was handed to her by Felix. For the entirety of season 5, apart from the first 3 episodes, Ladybug and Cat Noir did nothing to recover the miraculous and find out about Gabe and Felix. All they did was beat the villains of the episode and do the romance thing. After losing the miraculous, I would've liked Marinette to put more focus on that herself instead of spending almost an entire season on her love life with Adrien/Cat Noir
The thing that bothers me about the backstory is the whole heir to the throne thing. It kinda ruins Gabes motivation to revive his wife. If I understood the story correctly, Emily gave up the throne to Amelie, right? So if Gabe revives Emily, he can convince Emily to undo that? If so, can Adrien and Kagami become King and Queen (or wichever title it was, I don't remember)? Is that why Gabe and Tomoe want Adrien and Kagami to be a couple so bad? If so, it kinda ruins Gabes 'Depressed and desperate to get his dead wife back' motivation and turns him into a boring power hungry villain
I feel like Gabe don't care about the throne but that's what he promised to Tomoe so he got to follow her drum
Honestly, the romance this season felt really out of place. They made such a big deal out of Marinette having so much responsibility that she dumped Luka in season 4. And now, when monarch is more powerful than ever, she starts dating Adrien. If I were Luka, I'd be mad.
What i think it's that people that made the romance had 0 idea of how romance works

I don’t think Marinette finding out first is the problem. The potential problem is how they’ll go about how she handles this information. We know she’s going to tell him or he’s going to find out somehow. To keep that hidden forever is physically impossible. My greatest fear is that they’ll use the secret of her knowing as a sympathy point and make Adrien look like a “douchebag boyfriend” for being rightfully angry at both the revelation and the fact his girlfriend kept it from him. I’m hoping I’m wrong 😑

I really hate their insistence that "oh the world will end if they find out each other's identities..." Like NO, that's not how it works at all! The world never ends because they learn each other's identities, the world ends because Hawk Moth figures out their identities! And that would be less likely to happen if they had each other's backs and were ACTUALLY COMPETENT at keeping their identities secret! Like that one episode where Gabriel finds out all because he overheard Adrien say "m'lady," like that's all it took???
I have mixed feelings about the cat noir scene because while i do not like that he got help from the other kids technically speaking cat noir beat him by himself. He overpowered him then got distracted and was hit with the nightmare spell or whatever you want to call it then the kids destracted gabe for like a couple of seconds then he recovered and destroyed the object holding the akuma.
So yeah he mainly won on his own the kids only gave him the brief time and encouragement to recover.
Still I would have preferred he beat him unaided especially since it shows him be actually stronger than gabe.

I'm surprised that Marinette doesn't take action at once when they told her who is Monarch and told them to help her end this. If they did the next episode would have been an epic end to Monarch in front of an audience while he's still akumatized. marinette goes to the Agreste mansion speaks to Natalie to know where the miraculous is, find and frees the kwamiis, and takes Emily's body. if they got some miraculous back she should give Kagami long and the three of them go off to end monarch once and for all. the Gorilla would take the sick Natalie and Emilie toward the eiffel tower. They beat and capture Gab, expose him, heal Natalie with the peacock and the ladybug miraculous together and finally gab goes to jail. I would love to see that but that's not going to happen.
Best ending so far! I'd add that Mari and Adrien know each other's identity, Adrien gets his mom back, everything gets revealed about his history and Master Fu gets back his memories. I miss Master Fu 😪

In the episode called "Representation", we get more footage of Juleka and Rose still being a "heavily implied" couple after five seasons with zero confirmation... only for Kagami and Felix to kiss each other on the lips twice in fifteen minutes when they literally met two episodes ago. Great job, writers, great job.

Well Rose did Kiss Juleka, (as well as implied they kissed again in Zombizoue) all be on the Cheek and they are French so, yeah they can excuse that to the markets that don't like that sorta stuff in their cartoons.
Besides I kinda like Juleka and Rose being low key it makes them the best couple even if the occasionally screw it up with some "friendship" line that makes it look like Juleka is pining for her friend. Heck she's even outright sarcastic about it in Reflektdoll.
Felix and Kagami did kinda "cut to the chase" maybe they should have implied they were dating the whole time more obviously since they met.
Weird that neither of them seem overly bothered to find out they are not human though.
I think it has something to do with anti-gay censors which is why the two queer ships are only implied.
Honestly, my only gripe with this shit is how for so long, Rose and Juleka and Marc and Nathaniel only got subtle background stuff (Marc and Nathaniel even more so, Nathaniel even MORE so, bro has been shafted since episode 6), but in season 5, we get an onscreen lip kiss with Gisele and Caline, and Felix and Kagami getting together fast, only for them to still have the subtle gestures and Marinette literally RUNNING INTO MARC AND NATHANIEL'S PRIVATE MOMENT (I'm not mad at her about it, but damn, they can't even hold hands in a private corner without Adrien + Marinette shit interrupting it)
Honestly if Felix and Kagami sat Marinette down and told her everything it’d be boring, so the play was clever.

I loved/hated this episode. It was very heavy. Felix going through that horrific abuse, it all makes terrible sense. When you remember his SA attempt from S3, you realize it's likely he did that because he watched it happen to his own mother. We could take this further with Felix himself being SA'd which is disgusting but I wouldn't put anything past Colt's sorry ass! My only complaints on this episode are two things
1. I understand Kagami and Felix were fighting for survival here but straight up telling your friend's secret identity to your recent boyfriend is kinda shady. I understand why she did it but still.
2. I'm really tired of the writing making Adrichat act incompetent. I love Maribug but you don't have to make Adrichat look like an idiot in order to have her shine.
Season 5 has been my favorite thus far but istg, I'm ready for S6 when Astruc is off for good and the series gets rehauled by Zag. At least HE can write his ass off with the film being prove of that!

so... did you just forget that felix wields the peacock? He can literally make a sentimonster to any design he wants. He just made one that can fly really fast. probably in the shape of a plane. We see later in this same episode he has no issue making sentimonsters to do things he needs done. Also Cat didn't need to go top speeds. he probably wanted to surprise marinette at the school dance, so timed his arrival for its' beginning.
The story Felix and Kagami told in the storyboard was looking great, but yeah, in the final version it quite felt a bit off to me.
I really like the graphics of this chapter, it does look really good, but again, the story Felix and Kagami told, while the backgrounds look really well, it feels like the quality fell there and I think that was supposed to be the strong part of this episode.
Don't forget there is an whole episode missing about queen Chloé the mayor between this and the last episode.

Marinette just saw Felix told her that he gave all the miraculous to Monarch AND that he's Adrien's father; she doesn't understand a thing? Wow this girl is dumb! if she is the final hope against the villain, Paris is doomed! The city would be better in Luca's hands. He cares about his friends, his family and the city. If he had the miracle box, it would be hidden in a chest with a locker and a secret code. Lucas is smart, kind AND prudent. He would understand who Monarch is too 🙂I hope he will return, saved Marinette while Chat defeated the villain. That would be fun to see!
What doesn't make sense to me is...why is Adrien's worst nightmare related to Chat Blanc? He should have no idea that this form of him even exists since it seems Marinette/Ladybug NEVER told him about that alternate timeline. Surely it would make more sense for his nightmare to be never being able to escape his fathers influence.

Cat Noir, honestly should be combat superior to ladybug considering that Adrien is a fencer and is probably stronger and more agile, plus, he's more gutsy. But no, he has to get hit almost every time. I know he's emotional and rash in battle sometimes but they should cut down on this damsel in distress stuff. They could at least swap one of those times for him sacrificing himself again 😂. At least, it's kinda cool whenever he does that. But really, a buncha the story has been revolving round him but it's not like he's been playing any part in the story. So lame. The Felixgami play explaining the backstory looked like it was a shoutout to the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena, which over the course of the series explains major plot points through shadow puppets interludes using fairy tale analogies. Very cool (if weird) to see Miraculous do this as well, I always love the hidden references to other shows within the show.

Akumas cant go through matter. In startrain the Akuma got trapped In Sabrina's bag. And for the akumatization to happen it needs a powerful emotion. So the entrapment of the Akuma is fine. No idea why it didnt multiply tho

Just watched this episode and the last one back to back and damn... SAMG really putting the work in Representation. Lighting was the best it has ever been.
Writing-wise, I'm glad that the plot has been moving this season and I generally like what they're showing, but I'm so cautious for the finale. They've fumbled so many times like with Luka's relevancy, or Gabriel's constantly changing motivation, or Lila's minimal screen time for the importance of her role, or just CHLOÉ in general. I'm so scared they will slip and fall at the finish line.

Also, Felix is literally Gigabrain, as he connected the dots and all. When first introduced, he felt more like a self-seeking douche, but as it turns out, he’s more of an anti-hero, not necessarily saving Paris, but saving it for the sake of those he loves, being Adrien and Kagami.

1. Gabriel is known to prepare the ground to akumatize people by promoting negative emotions and he should know that taking away Adrien would cause Marinette grief (remember Chat Blanc?). So yes, I agree he cannot target Marinette from UK (what is the range for his powers anyway? who knows...), all he had to do was be around Paris (not a big deal, he can teleport) and wait for Marinette to crumble.
2. I disagree. ML is a cartoon that follows real-world physics with concessions (this is not Looney Toons... I hope!). There have been people with sprained ankles (a writer's favorite) and real concerns about falling from a skyscraper. Am I being picky? Maybe a little, but if non-powered teenagers can be thrown to brick walls with enough force to crack them and they don't get hurt (it was the helmet!) then I don't get why characters are concerned about being run by a car (happened many times!).
3. I disagree. Monarch may not choose the power, instead this is defined by the target's profession / hobbies / specialties and/or problem at the time (it is not random). In the past Gabriel akumatized himself with the power to retrieve items / objects / people (the Collector!), so I was kind of expecting a similar power for this occasion (he wanted to retrieve Adrien). So... Why nightmares? Was Adrien supposed to come with him if he gave him a nightmare? it's the opposite of retrieving! To make things worse, this is one of those "I have attitude so I won't succumb to you!" kind of power so again, why nightmares? .. We know the answer. 🙂

Her brain is a lil slow to process, but she eventually does come to the realisation and sends a message to the cat phone. However he doesn't end up receiving it as Mari somehow ends up with both miraculous.

The funniest part of the episode was Gabriel being hit in the face with a tray. I laugh every time. The episode was great but i wish revolution came out earlier before this episode rather than on 17th of June. It is near the ending and like how can they do that. This episode was really good for me with passion, pretension and collusion but if revolution was there then it would have felt more better as it the episode between collusion and representation and well the last few episodes are like really connected and to intense. Misunderstood badly, the backstory Kagami and him told Marinette is the only thing interesting. Kagami and him romantically together makes no sense similar to Adrien and Marinette just the same.

I felt like the episode was lowkey anticlimactic... so many big reveals but the way they were done were so weird and outta the blue, and then marinette's reaction them was just "oh cool" like i didn't hate the episode but half the time i was watching it was just "R U SERIOUS RN?? 😐"

alternate miraculous (horrible) ending: the whole timeline of the show gets erased and we are forced to watch it all again but with very slight differences just because Thomas wants to remake the episodes that were bad
Smarty Pants, really sorry if you already know that but this episode is episode 24 and 23 is skipped. It is called Revolution and will be released on june 17th. So Adrien got in the plane and left on-screen but we just didn't see it yet.
