Interesting story and a lot of twists and turns. RIP Dominick Montiglio, now there’s a man that was set up to fail by his Uncle. His life got ruined bc of his uncles influence, the mistake that Dom made was coming back to Brooklyn eventually after he got out of the army and getting wooed into the easy money by his uncle Nino Gaggi. He shoulda stood in Cali where he originally went after the army but he returned home to Bath Beach and it was all downhill from there. Murder Machine by Jerry Capeci and Gene Mustain was based in a large part on Dom’s side of the story. Crazy life.
I read that Mr. Montiglio had a drug problem. If this is true then I am sorry to hear it. No one deserves a drug habit. He did serve our nation in Vietnam. He took care of his Uncle Nino too.

@@EnlightenedRogue24 Thank you brother. I love the Marines! You couldn't ask for a tougher group of men to have on your side in a fight. I got to see some of you Brothers doing what they do best when I was in Baghdad in 2004.
Thanks again for the kind words. I figure I got through Baghdad, so I WILL get through this.
Has your brother had to have surgery called a Whipple procedure? It's pretty brutal to get through.
How long ago was his diagnosis? How's he doing with it? It is good having family and friends in these times.
If I can help with information, let me know. Just send me an email at:madog.medic@hotmail.com
DAMN THESE STORIES ARE TOLD, JUST REMARKABLY BRILLIANT
Damn straight. Did you ever listen to podcast 7 "The Commisson Hit". Good Lord that was intense.
@@scottschlemmer4787 BRO, I'm probably like you, We probably can say, what not too many can, that we literally have watched everything on an ever growing TH-cam channel.
What a memory Sammy has at 78, every small detail. The man’s still sharp as a tack.
Sammy is 76, but still...he does have a good memory. I'm not sure I'd call him a raconteur, but he is a good storyteller.
Louie standing in line at Sammy’s daughter’s book sighing, tells us that friendship lasts forever.
Keepem comin sammy. Cant get enough..thank you sir.
Japped out! I haven’t heard that saying since I was in grade school! Brought up some great memories for me. Thank you, Mr. The Bull
Sammy is a great story-teller. Very easy to follow his narrative and the content so engrossing that once I start listening I forget to hit the "Like" until the whole story is over. I then I have to reopen the link to hit the "Like."
I thought he grew up in Levittown?
Oh wow when did he pass ?
@@kachaso June 27, 2021
@@divaah4406 Oh really? Oh man, that's fucked up. I could listen to him speak for days and days. With all respect due how did he pass?
Another great story. I love the way Sammy laughs.
Having Nino as his uncle was a bad break. He was a spiteful, insecure person who kept Dominic from being made 🙄
From all the stuff I have read and watched about Dominic, he didn't want to be made.
Dominick kept himself from being made. They don't make heroin users.
Yes he was not a good person Nino.
He ran his father off. Taught him questionable values. And kept Dominic down the whole time he work with him. Nino is a piece of s*** sorry respect for the dead but if I had to deal with one of the two men Dominic would definitely be my pic
@@jhonfamo8412 I heard he told Roy that he would never get raised to the captain, just because Roy is napolitan.
Ave, Sammy G. Thank you for the excellent stories. Cheers from Vegas!
Sammy has such a great memory for detail. Really enjoying these presentations.
Thanks for the story Sam. Please have the video editor increase the volume. The audio on this is 13dB lower than it could be.
One of Sammy's most under appreciated videos! Great stories 👍
Your a beast Sammy...keep them coming cuz!!! Be blessed
So glad to see Sammy, he made my day cant wait for the new show to come out. I LOVE Sammy the BULL.

Haven't seen you on any mob vids lately...was starting to think you got whacked.

I thought I was losing my hearing lol
Thanks Sammy. You’re doing great. No Worries about how the stories go. That’s how people talk. It’s like we’re Chilling out with you. Just hanging out. Yeah. It’s good stuff.
Who ever is producing the video please raise the volume so it comes out louder. It’s tough to hear.

Do one on Nino Gaggi too. That’s the most badass gangster name I’ve ever heard.
I think Johnny Torrio wins the name game
@@danevertt3210 Nino Gaggi with the aviator sunglasses takes the cake in my opinion
bad ass name but if you get your ass whooped and your answer is to get a sociopath (DeMeo) to kill the guy you're kind of a pussy.
If he was such a badass then why not handle business on your own? Lots of the so-called mafioso were only tough because they had the backing of legit murderers. Without that threat of violence, most of these guys would have gotten a beat down. I've said in the past, not saying there were legitimate tough guys, but most hid behind the mystique of it all.
@@paulrevere-e6y I think you are making more out of my statement than what it says. I didn’t say he was a badass. It’s the name, that’s all. Since you brought it up though, I’d be willing to bet that if it was 1984 you wouldn’t say that shit to his face. If you think he hasn’t killed I’d rethink. Why would anyone risk going to jail with a guy who loves killing at the ready? Or the Gemini Twins. Take your pick.
Man I was born in 1969!!! And I can’t get enough when I see a friend from back in the days!!! I like the story!!! Nice one Sammy!!!
The guys looks pretty good for 76 years old, probably because of the decades he’s done behind bars and the lack of sunlight plus constantly working out.
Its the 20 years locked up.
prison is what fucked him up the most.
@@mattsgaming2525 in his head maybe. Look, being in prison has this way of preserving people. Your pretty much forced to exercise and take care of yourself. Plus Sammy was in super max in Colorado. Thats like being buried beneath the fucking prison. Never see the sun to hurt your skin, all the air is filtered. Only chemicals going into you are the foods. I only did small terms in state prison in CA, never getting that preserved look but lots of old timers look exactly like Sammy. Small, bald, tattooed, and preserved.
@@jeremyw6246 alot of people die in prison and get cancer from the food and i know that personally , Its good genetics Imo but who knows im not a scientist lol
Why do you think they it "the can"?
Hello I’m Melanie from Michigan and I just recently started listening and I can’t stop I’m so addicted I love your stories your voice your demeanor the sarcasm an the podcast is so good probably the best I’ve ever heard and seen and I wish that you would do like a meet and greet but I’m sure that’s probably not your style but I’m gonna stay listening as long as you keep talking… much love from Michigan Mel ;) ♥️
Here’s a fact About Vincent Governara he had a younger brother who years after his own death . He was also killed by billy bright and frank gangi the very same two guys you talked about in your Tommy karate video
Is "Billy Bright" Bill Beattie?

Sammy fantastic series, watching for a 3rd time. So believable, you sound like such a really stand up guy. Appreciate all the great stories!
Can you guys picture gotti trying to do something like this had he still been alive he would be all loud and ignorant ..he probably would even start talking crazy to the camera man
😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️🎯💯
I could just imagine gotti during a podcast about his past mafia life would be great 😂😂😂😂😂
It would never happen. Gotti cosa nostra til death.
And can you imagine how John would act like when he would read the comments cause I’m sure that John stories would be boring and just about him and saying he is the biggest gangster and just taking the credit for the stuff that other people did that made the money and blaming everybody else for the mistake he made John was just a street level fighter and stuff like that but he was definitely not boss material and he had no common sense or real money making skills like Sammy does so I’m glad it’s Sammy telling us and not John
Nah John was not a talker like this guy
You know I was looking up on Dominic Montiglio recently. A very old mob documentary that he was featured in got me started on a book reading journey as well as an overall a junior mob historian. That was probably 8 years ago and I haven’t stopped reading snd studying since. RIP Don Montiglio
Rip Artie bop. My bike got robbed when I was 10 yrs old. He got my bike back. Japped out. That’s a bath Avenue word,, great story sammy
Sammy, your audio is fine, keep up the great Videos!!!
Sammy do you have any stories about any of the black gangsters from your era?? Huge fan of your podcast and would love to hear a story about Nicky Barnes, Frank Lucas, Frank Mathews, etc. Thank you for your stories, Sammy!
Would definitely love to hear if there wax any connection or kickbacks with from the black gangsters. I no im American gangster it showed him working with the mob
100%
@Chris J Williams Facts.. Watched a documentary on him, and apparently the Italian mafia didn't appreciate the amount of money he was making either. Hopefully Sammy has a story to share.
Check out a Channel by the name "Info Minds" the 80s and 90s had a lot of black gangsters and organisations that made Billions of dollars.
Be cool if Sal had any stories about Matthew Madonna, who I read supplied Barnes with his heroin
Hey Sammy. I’m listening to your daughter right now doing an interview on rock 105.3 here in San Diego. She’s doing a great interview. Have a good day Sammy.
Damn, Sammy. Your daughter might call you an old man, but you still have some serious guns hanging from your shoulders.
Got home from work and saw there was a Sammy video!! Almost, as good as leaving work itself. lol

Your MTV deal was a sell out idea. MTV dramatizes and ruins everything. It's nothing like it used to be in the 90s. The whole thing is likely gonna be a joke, I hope it isnt but that's what MTV does
Bro , the entertainment industry is cut throat. Sell out😂😂 Pay his bills and ull have room to speak.
You sir, are one hell of a story teller.
I just watched a documentary from the 90's yesterday where Montiglio talked about that grenade situation.
Great story..and it's all about truth... especially when you you fight like that, had several and now your friends..
Sammy is an American icon...a living legend...
Much peace
He wasn't a captain at the time Vinny broke his nose. He actually broke Nino's nose 12 years before nino killed him. According to Dominic anyway
@Joshua Mezza timeline got f***** up
just like when Scarfo killed Nicky diamond about 20 years later when he became boss he had diamonds friends clip him to.
NINO may have been made tho ,,,im sure as time went on vinny rip knew NINO wasnt going to forget a broken nose ,,

Man!! Sammy your stories just capture me..keep it up Bro!!
P.S. I need season 2 in my life asap!! I can't wait to hear more!!
I enjoyed every time I heard Dominick and his stories being in and around the mob and his life. He had a similar gift like Sammy in story telling and giving perspective and detail. A really interesting guy who lived one hell of a life, musician, artist, decorated combat veteran Vietnam, street guy rubbing elbows with some of baddest dudes running in the mob, I read my first book at 15 in 95 on the Philly mob and that got me onto reading about the mob but it was. Until several years ago watching the documentary with Dominick and then reading murder machine that I got really interested in the TH-cam mob stuff. RIP to one hell of a dude, btw loved his Brooklyn accent, im from New Orleans and people hear me abs think I’m from Brooklyn all the time.
Luv U & Ur Stories Sammy. What a life, most people don't even have a clue. Keep up the great work
I've been watching Dominic documentaries for quite a while. I liked him. So sad to see him go.
I was gonna say one of my favorite mob documentaries of all time was one based around him. When he talked about growing up in that life the respect and his family, he seemed like a very likeable guy. It must of been a late 70s early 80s news show like 60mins or dateline. I would have to look for it but it was very well done I remember that.
