Well when I travel, I try to be compact with clothes and stuff cause well, i got a lot of camera gear with me.... Best trick i have, if I have extra shoes with me, i have some smell well in them when they are stored, they dry the shoes and make sure they smell well, but i put socks in them so the shoe don't get squished, when packed, you can easily have socks for a week in them. I will at all times have camera gear with me. Now this list is fairly long, and i have pretty good selection right now. 24mm tilt shift, 24-70mm, 50mm prime, 70-200mm, kamera housing D850, with battery grip approx. 2500 pictures without charging, power bank, to charge phones, laptop, kamera. 4TB SSD drive. Laptop for editing, a million usb type wires for everything, 12v car plug charger for the phone, 2x flash and trigger, rapid strap, cleaning kit, filters for grading and/or bottom parts of the frame and in different colors to it's a kit. Batteries for flash and other stuff, just nice to have and the best part is, I only have to pull out the laptop, and open the front flap, and it can all be inspected by the TSA or alike. I feel im forgetting something though.
You know you're a fan when you watch a GRWM... Good insight though! Love the luggage too, if you have an affiliate link would love to use it to support you! I always have trouble fitting two suits in my suitcase, looks like yours had plenty of space.
As a long time locomotive engineer......I had flashbacks watching this. Having double of everything, squeezing stuff in your grip. Yes, always have blistex with you. LOL.
@@danielmorad I have been Sim racing for a long time and I found your channel when I decided to get serious. Well, more serious. Thanks for the good content. Good luck and show them what the Winward Racing, Techemet No. 57 Mercedes-AMG GT4 can do at Mid Ohio.
100% Tetris the carry-on only strategy as well 👊🏻. I think you just gave me a new carry-on option to look at though! Busted my handle on the last flight...
This is cool. I travel to drive at race track but luckily I always drive. My question to you is, how do you pack to come HOME? I hate it when my gross, sweaty clothes touch the clothes I didn't end up wearing. I usually end up taking the dry cleaning bag from my hotel room or shopping bags and stuff my gross sweaty clothes in there to protect my clean stuff. Also how do you sanitize and deodorize your helmet between races?
That’s a great question. I actually have a thin plastic bag that I use to separate the dirty stuff and the clean stuff. I also have all dirty stuff inside out so I know what to wash and what I didn’t use. I try and dry everything out before I pack up as much as possible. Helmet blowers and fans on shirts and suits straight away. We actually have a helmet blower that deodorizes and then heats.
Much more efficient than me. I have the tendency to pack wayyy too many outfits and hardly have any room for anything else lol. Cool vid though, thanks for the great content, good luck at Sebring!!
I keep passports, ID and credit cards/cash in a pouch that tucks into your waistband in places where there is a high percenage of pick pockets. Also I roll t-shirts rather than fold as it creates less wrinkles if done right. Great video. I know you're doing GT3 in IMSA and GT4 in the Michelin Pilot series. Also you are doing the Fanatec endurance races in Europe? That's 3 series. Are you not doing the Fanatec GT America series this year?
Also, doesn’t look likely that I’ll do GTWCA at this point but I’ll never say never. There’s other stuff that will be announced soon but GTWCE conflicts with Sonoma so for sure I will be in Europe at that time
I've been packing with a large rolling OMP gear bag, but it has to be checked, and it's too large for what I really need. I like the backpack and being able to carry everything onto the plane. Is your backpack the largest (30L) version?
Yeah it is the 30L version. It’s really on the limit of fitting. You’ll be taking a chance with your helmet. Mine barely fits. The old version is what fits it the best but this new one still works.
Hi Daniel ! Is there any chance we can find your personal race shedule for this year somewhere online? So it will be easyier to follow your rl racing a bit better. Thx and all the best & success !
Hello mate, hope your well, abit of topic, another brilliant youtube channel called race beyond matter, I was wondering if you have seen his ffb video and if so, what's your opinion? He basically turns down most software driven settings as he calls them artificial. Stay blessed 👍
Hey! Good eye. They actually are not allowed anymore. I don’t actually wear them but I just had them in my gear locker and needed it for a “prop” at the time of filming because my other gear was being washed 😂
Pro traveling tip. Don't zip up a backpack so the zippers meet in the middle. Put them to one side or the other. If you zip it in the middle and you're running it could gradually open the zipper. Ask me how I know.
Sensaphonics, or ACS customs are the ones that I got made. You gotta ship your ear moulds to them. The sensaphonics I feel like have a much better seal but I also might have done my acs customs mold with wrong technique.

The carry on is incredible so you won’t regret it.

It’s on my discord. The full schedule is there. Thanks a lot.
Hey daniellllll did you win the Indianapolis 8 hours in GT intercontinental??
Yes :)
@@danielmorad I have the tarmac works model, huge fan of you work Daniel keep up the podiums!!!!
That's what she said
😂
The wheels are looking stiff, it should bring you a good aero stabilty in case you gotta run to your plane 😅
Definitely. Very good stability on this suit case haha

Hey. I haven’t seen that. I’ll go watch it and see what it’s all about and test when I have the time. Been a bit tough lately as I’m never home haha
Great video! I’m curious, how many racing suits do you use during a season?
I normally have a few based on how many programs I’m in. This year, I’ll have around 5-6 suits with different designs on a few.
@@danielmoradThank you!
hi morad , i saw a pair of fia 8856-2000 golves that u took with. is it still allowed in the race?
Hey! Good eye. They actually are not allowed anymore. I don’t actually wear them but I just had them in my gear locker and needed it for a “prop” at the time of filming because my other gear was being washed 😂
Are you racing at Sonoma this April??
I will be at Paul Ricard for GTWC Europe during that weekend
@@danielmorad 😭😭 maybe I get to see you another day. Good luck over there!!! 🏆
what round rim is that in the back ps good luck at sebring lets go winward

Ohhhh that’s a great tip. Noted that down!!
I’m curious to know where your zipper busted open. Tell me the story!! 😂
3:10 do you have any recommendations for companies that do custom molded ear plugs?
I know of a few but I don’t know how they compare to each other
Sorry, I just get them done at the track though the radio people

65% packing and flights/hotels. 35% track time
Pretty much nailed it
Welcome to Sebring ...I wasn't able to make out to the track this year...
Thanks a lot.
Hey Dan curious db is a weird name for a bag brand were they called anything else before 🤔
Hahaha. It was called Douchebag 😛
@danielmorad that's hilarious!
Oh nice! Champagne cover shoes lol indeed
Not ideal to travel with wet shoes
Great video. link to your bags?
Just search DB Travel.
Also, thanks haha
What about your race shoes?
Packed those. Did you see? :)
We need an unpacking video next. Are you one of those dudes who uses the hotel dresser for clothes?
I work out of my bag. I’m not an unpacker really lol. It’s all put together so well. I know where everything is at all times 😂
@@danielmorad thank goodness. I’d have to roast you aggressively.
What is the name of the suitcase?
I think he said DD. Direct Drive? 😂
It’s DB Travel (formerly known as Douchebag)
Ive never seen danny race live.
Too bad cuz id watch it if it was advertised somewhere...
i guess they dont want my money.
Haha well, tune in to IMSA.tv today at 3:15pm ET and then you can watch GT World Challenge Europe races on TH-cam on the GT World channel
Thats what she said lol
