I have, a few different replicas, My main one the AK-105 has alot of cosmetic work done to it, Fully Zenitco (Replica) Handguard, Dust Cover, and Muzzle Device, Gonna HPA it soon and put a RK-3 on it. And with that is a RK-6 Handstop, a Flashlight with pressure switch, A Russian Spec-Ops Replica Holo sight. And a two point sling!

Slings are an underrated bit of kit! Can’t machine not using one any more, always helpful to have both hands available

For sure. We’ll do a deeper dive soon.

    I love my Acetech tracer!

I love a night game with a tracer unit. I normally use a mix of normal and tracer bb's at a ratio of 4:1 so it makes it a bit less obvious where I am but still have the benefit of a tracer bb showing me where I am shooting.
Once I have fired a tracer bb I try and relocate slightly as soons as I fire a tracer bb, every man and his dog tends to point their weapon my way and lets rip.
If I wanna be super sneaky, I just turn the tracer unit of so I can go full ninja.

Stock length wise. As a hobbit, I don’t extend my AR stocks at all. Especially with a PC on it’s the perfect length for my miniature arms

Slings: I have taken to using paracord to provide the attach points for my slings. BTW, these chats are excellent. We need more of them. That's an order soldier!

Tracer rounds in mags are put in different order depending on unit SOPs
E.g. first 2 tracer for showing enemy position. 1 tracer in the middle to know where you are in the magazine and the last 3 or 4 are tracer so you know your at the end of the mag and need to reload.

      Cheers. Thanks for clarifying.

I have a mock suppressor on my M4 and use a longer barrel which runs through it. Makes sense and eliminates BBs “clipping” the inside as you said 👌🏻

I spoke to a gentleman with a military background who did some consulting and technical advising on video games and films and he had said a similar thing about the tracers are the end of the magazine. I dont know if its a 80s/90s thing because he told us about 29 rounds rather than 30 being more reliable which I can only assume is a technical limitation of the era? Again 2nd hand dit as he would say so ymmv.

Supresors on HPA's guns r making a big difference. A well tuned one, can be really hard to hear it from 80 + fts

@@AnvilAirsoftTV :)) U don't like beeing a scuba diver ? I don't like the hpa hose and that kept me away for a while until I discovered UGS. I have been using F2 with UGS and 0.2 l tanks for some time and I am very satisfied. In a game using P1 setup, 1.1J with 0.3, I get about 7 pts mag (~ 900 bbs) at maximum power and another 1-2 at over 1J. You could consider the setup for a future project. U might get in love w hpa :)

Thanks and I appreciate the comment but it’s AEGs or GBBRs for me :) if a retailer or manufacturer wanted to lend me one for test I’d be up for it but we don’t have the funds to do it ourselves.

Great video guys. I'm looking forward to the one on slings.
I love the point on cost. It's like putting a £1000 smart phone on a bike with a £3 mount and complaining when it fails.
    Thanks again guys

Suppressors on real steel (with few exceptions) don't reduce the "crack", they reduce the "bang". the "crack" is the sonic boom of the ammo (there are a few suppressors, like the one in the MP5SN that reduce the speed of otherwise supersonic ammo).
*Typically* you are correct regarding the reduction (deafening is reduced to "very loud"); but it depends on the gun and the suppressor. There *are* examples of "Hollywood quiet" rigs.
But yes, usually the point of a suppressor on real steel is to protect hearing (less ear required); and there are benefits to "did you hear that shot a mile over there? let's go find the shooter and kill him".

@@AnvilAirsoftTV I think you guys did great. The issues I'm responding to are, in the scheme of things, quite minor; and what you said is far closer to reality than the movie stereotype you are debunking. :)

I have to say, using the RPK is just using a bloody heavy and awkward AK, cause the bipod is a waste of time, rarely get to deploy it. The Famas bipod is equally useless, I forget it's there half the time.

Not much use unless you’re at a game that uses weapon classes like Gunman’s Filmsim series.

Subsonics with a proper suppressor might well be. The exception doesn’t prove the rule though.
