Civil Rights Activist Provides His Opinion on Reparations

  • Dr. Phil discusses the highly debated topic of reparations. The HB 40 bill was passed in Congress last year, which establishes the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans. Many feel this isn’t enough and insist there must be financial reparations given. Some cities, such as San Francisco, propose giving up to $5 million to some black Americans who qualify. Should this happen? Patrice E. Jones, a descendant of both a slave and slave owner, weighs in on the reparations debate, along with Civil Rights Activist Bob Woodson, and Professor William Darity, who outlined his plan for reparations in his book, “From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century.” Also on the panel are political writer Joshua Ferguson and anti-racist educator Ashani Mfuko. (21049)

The democrats took that away but do not want to accept accountability they need to apologize by their stupid policies and thinking all blacks do not and can't think for themselves. I learned this in Africa from my mother every time and she says "If the house doesn't sell you, the street wouldn't buy you." I won't comment on the lady as I am white and I have never experienced what she had experienced, so I am not going to assume that I understand where she is coming from.
From my humble view the opinion that the gentleman is sharing a valuable point of view, as by the historic times he probably had to go through some messed up things. We all can agree or disagree with him, that doesn't take away the value of what he is saying.
Now, judging people by the colour of their skin, opinions(as long as they are not an attack) or ancestors, instead of their actions or capabilities, it is a way of racism/discrimination whether we like it or not. I suppose it is time to repeat history as a way of revenge or compesation instead of being the bigger person we all claim to be 🤷‍♀️.

I am surprised that there aren't a lot more views of this recording because it so true.

That woman did not hear what that guy said at all. What barriers are there that Mr. Woodson did not have during Jim Crow?

So they want me, a descendant of Irish and Italian immigrants who were poor as dirt (the Italian side moving to America after slavery) and lived in the north to pay reparations to yall?

He's spot on. And for the woman she only wants 💰. Do you honestly think once she gets 💰 she will call it even Steven? No, it will be now I deserve a free college tuition and a house. The grudge of slavery will never surpass, and the divide will then truly become an issue.

The wonderfully wiser man gives an honest objective and emotionally invested account of the current mess we are in to which a spoiled brat has not listened and proceeds to regurgitate her victimhood narrative upon. It's simple anti-rascism is racism as much as evil begets evil.
