You forgot Rambo and Scent of a Woman. Edit: Apparently you didn't and what I thought to be Rambo and Scent of a Woman are just another bits of Justice for All and Patton.
@@RadioactiveSand I thought Rambo too as he was telling his superior about his friend blowing up and trying to put him back together in the moment of trauma.
I prefer Homer's interpretation of the seriousness of reaching over into a pile of goo that was once your best friend's face more than George C. Scott's, personally.
I find that the joke is that Homer is able to cobble together an eloquent yet incoherent monologue from popular movies in an imbecilic attempt to defend himself. And then of course Marge smites him. Lol
Everything Homer says from 0:28 Onwards is a line from a film. "I'm not out of order, you're out of order, the whole freaking system is out of order" is a line from 'And Justice for All' "You want the truth, you want the truth? You can't HANDLE the Truth." is a line from 'A few Good men' "Because when you reach into a pile of goo, that was your best friends face, you'll know what to do" is a line from 'Patton' when he is trying to gee up his troops by telling them about killing the Germans. "Forget it Marge, it's chinatown" is a line from 'Chinatown'
I really like this one, particularly because I've never seen any of those movies except for the court scene in A Few Good Men. But I think Bart's rant about teamwork takes the cake.

@@conserva-chan2735I thought that episode was well done, but yeah it pissed me off. However, the writing on the show seems decent now, just super quippy. Many wordy verbal jokes that are more about the content and ideas and lack comedic timing and buildup. "everyone knew i dye my hair" - woman with blue hair
in the Simpsons universe that is nothing out of the ordinary.

Blue hair can happen naturally in the Simpsons universe, like the Van Houten
Her hair is probably graying.
Maybe it's supposed to be so black it looks blue.
I'm memorizing this speech, next time i get in an argument with the wife. lool

The “pile o’ goo!” Gets me every. Damn. Time.
I feel like the writers didn't know how to have Homer respond, so they just wrote in random movie quotes and hoped they would make sense.
I agree
And it turned out great.
If they didn't add all those movie quotes, i wonder what Homer's real responds would have been like?
