Those were the days.... Alex O.( Celebrate) Blacky( Rosie) Mike Okri.( Omoge) Mandy Ojugbana ( Taxi driver), Dizzy Kay Falola( Baby Kilode) Oritz Wiliki, Good all days... He is so articulate and soft spoken. This is a fantastic interview Arise.
I loved Alex o, growing up, I saw him as Nigerian Micheal Jackson. He was among the old musicians that invested in their true talents and passion, but the industry wasn't that favourable. But he made his mark. Plus, he's aging like fne wine.
That's my cousin. His music defined our childhood and even while he was away, his songs lived with us as though he was still with us. Glad he's back for an anticipated re-union. God bless the king of nigerian POP music.
Alex O, that’s a big name in the Nigerian music industry. Reggae was a big thing then when he came up, but he denominated with his pop. Initially, we didn’t know he is Nigerian with the way he sounded. His songs were competing with Bobby Brown’s in Nigeria. I was at a friend’s birthday party recently in Greater Manchester UK. The DJ played his song ‘Celebrate’ and almost everybody started dancing and singing along. Good music last forever. Good to see him hale and hearty ❤
Otu Udofa, aka Lemmy Jackson is an Akwa Ibom born music producer. Lemmy Jackson produced for Alex O, Onyeka Onwenu,Tera Kota, Ras Kimono, Mandators, Orits Wiliki. 🙌👏
BORN IN THE YEAR 1988. I DONT KNOW HIM BUT FAZE MENTIONED HIS NAME IN HIS HIT SONG "ORIGINALITY" HE MUST BE AN ICON INDEED. I CELEBRATE YOU LEGACY DEAR ALEX O. OUR MUSIC HAS EVOLVED INTO WHAT IT IS TODAY. WOW!!!!
Thank GOD for blessing him with good health and life! His songs are WONDERFUL and I can't wait for his new album! Thanks for inviting him over to ARISE TV for this interview!
Many under 50 won't know him,o, but gen Xers, definitely. Maybe older millenials. As a gen x, I grew up listening to his music. Correct music 👍 He was hot then and still looks good now. Good to see him.
Creative people should get optimal renumeration for their products. Sadly, this is a country where the unproductive and destructive thieving crop are more rewarded than those who add real value to society.
Lemmy jackson was big then. I didn't like his look then because he was trying to look like mj.alex o did great music. That rap hit well then. Alex okorigwe
