I have an old laptop and I want to reuse as many parts as possible. So I came up with the idea to try using a webcam to build spy cameras. and it works very well, you can connect to Android phone via otg cable or connect to computer.

bro the thing is try to make a demo that is working in android phone without configuring so that you can tell its a spy cam. if not, you just make an ordinary external webcam its not a spy cam.

I think you can do it with a phone camera as well but i dont think it can work with every phone
Coated wire can be taken from any old circuit where there that mini transformer like thing.

It depends on your camera. Some cameras operate at 3.3V. so you need 2 diodes.
The main idea is to convert the 5 voltages from the laptop USB to the required 3.3voltages to the camera so one daiod or two ore even a regulator used doesn't matter

You need to connect properly. If you connect it wrongly, the camera may be destroyed.

What is the best way to hide camera inside my nephew room and toilet? He's been living with me (2 years now) but i'm afraid he might been in to something bad. When he is in a toilet, it will be an hour of silence before he begin to shower. He always lock up in his room for 8 hours a day not include sleeping time... we talk only few word a day... putting a camera inside doll is not a good idea since he would find out when there is something new inside his room. Putting a light bulb with camera also not good since the camera is not hidden at all and he can clearly see it. I hope i can put camera in his room or toilet without alerting him before i get proof of his wrong doing.... and my budget below 100
hide it in light bulbs or something similar. Wifi camera uses batteries, it has no wires and is very small in size. You can easily buy on the internet

Itu tadi benda kecil yg bentuk'y kya resistor apha'an bang. Yg di salah satu kabel saluran USB
Dia make dioda 1N4148 dua biji, untuk mengurangi tegangan dari 5v ke 3,3v. Klo susah nyarinya bisa diganti dioda satu amper. Taroh dijalur positif 5v. Klo mau awet usahakan setelah dipasang dioda diukur brapa kluarnya, usahakan jangan terlalu jauh dari 3,3v biar awet. Klo dua biji dioda kurang tambahin aja jadi 3 atau 4 biji.
