C5 Corvette Ratty Drag Car Part 1: Reveal and Interior Removal

- My wife and I have purchased our next drag car, a 2001 speedway white c5 corvette. This thing is VERY rough so the first thing we did was remove all of the interior and weigh it. The goal is to get this thing down to 2750lbs and run easy low 11’s.

Travis, I usually watch TH-cam on my wide screen tv so when I ask a question like when you were live last nite I get on my iPhone and get right back off so i just wanted you to know that nothing you said offended me and I agreed w/ most of your thoughts .. Anyways I run a residential pressure washing company here in central Kentucky an when I’m pressure washing I have hours of repetitive motion an my mind wanders off some where.. When I realized that you can see when I get off TH-cam I didn’t want you think anything and that’s if you even noticed .. ole man Romeo

Take some cheap newspaper and windex to the windshield on the inside to clean it. Bet the cigar wrap film is thick, and nearly blinding when the sun hits it. Towels just don't remove it the same as paper.

got a 2001 vette last year. got a cam long tube headers and I replaced and updated all the lights in the car. has less than 50k miles. really fun car but the interior is a little cheap

Looks like a 350z convertible, or some weird pickup conversion. If it was done like an early C3 it would have been better since the normal C5 glass looks like a 77-82 C3
@@alecweinstein4990 of they would have made it like the last fixed roof vette (c2) then it wouldn’t have had a trunk at all, like the c2
