Another great vid guys, shame about missing out on the Manta's again... im sure you will find them somewhere in the Pacific :) Great detail in your voice overs and a lot less wind noise on this one 😉
Good morning guys from down here. Every boys dream. Pacific Islands, white sands, coconut palms, the trade winds blowing said coconut palms, dusky maidens, local trading schooner making it's way into the lagoon, aaah yes. However, that "Blue Lagoon" island doesn't fit the scene. However, fun fact for you. Apparently/Allegedly, back in the day, the Yasawas female population were very welcoming. Google can't, or won't expand on that particular information.? I read it somewhere, and I believe everything I read. Thanks for sharing guys. Loving your channel. Stay safe.
Yes it’s a dream landscape and must have been even more amazing before tourism kicked in! Thanks again for making us laugh re Google comment. We’re too afraid to run that search in Google! Who knows what will show up 😂 On another note, we just wanted to say thank you for your regular comments. We appreciate your support of our channel.
Consistently failing. 😂 that was funny. Good on you for seeing the funny side. As a sailor that will be in Fiji 🇫🇯 soonish. Would love to know more about costs etc. we are on a budget like you guys so keen to see what it’s really costing and what to expect.
Thanks for watching and commenting. In Fiji, there’s definitely a cheap way of doing it if you’re prepared to make a few sacrifices and plan in advance. The best thing we did was we did a mega provision in NZ (particularly if you’re a meat eater) of food that was allowed to come into Fiji. Some things are expensive such as meat, alcohol, cheese and potato chips. If you shop at the markets then you can get fresh produce (limited in range as they generally sell what’s in season) at really cheap prices. For example we bought 5 Lebanese cucumbers for $2 Fijian. Marinas are also expensive. If you’re needing transport, buses are the cheapest way to travel. We would catch the bus to town to provision and then a metered taxi back to avoid carrying all our stuff in the bus. The metered taxis are a lot cheaper than the non-metered ones (who are often double the price) and they will also stop at various shops for you along the way back. Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for your supportive comment. So true about the shopping bags. We have far too many because we were always forgetting them when we went shopping but thankfully they’re coming into good use now aboard.
