I don't know why such is mentioned on the website. Till previous year hostels are given to M.Tech Students(100% sure).

Hello sir, I'm a dropper and this year I am getting architecture in NITs like Patna, Jaipur, Hamirpur, or Raipur. But I wanted to do CSE or IT ftom NITs so I was thinking about 2nd drop. My doubt was do 2nd drop affects placements at NITs?
Also do you think Architecture holds enough scope and placements? Cuz as far I have researched, I found that there's no placements in B. Arch. I would be grateful if you reply.

No Architecture, i was getting Architecture at IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee but didn't join becz Architecture is very tough branch with no scope

Kyuki placement ka jo bhi round hota h usme tmhara current merit check kiya jata h aur ye dekha jata h ki 4 saal college me tm kya kya kiye. Agar tmhare paas required skills hai then, company will surely hire you.
Agar koi dikkat hota bhi hoga to bahut km cases me.

Bro, my domicile is *Jharkhand* and Category *OBC* . I have got *99.23%ile* in JEE Main 2020. Should I opt for CSE at NIT Jamshedpur or any other higher NIT with a lower branch ? What about NIT Rourkela?
Agar home state me hi rhna chahte ho ya comfortable ho, tb Jamshedpur le lo.
Lekin agar aisa kuch nahi h then go for other better college. And I think you can get there CSE also. If not then ECE sure.
And most important branch selection depends upon what do you want to do in future. So, I can't elaborate completely here.

If you want to decide on placement basis only then you should go for NIT JAMSHEDPUR. You will get slightly better placement opportunity in any of the branch here in comparison to PATNA.
What is the hostel fee for mtech students per semester? Is mess charge seperate or included?
Tution fees is around- 35,000
Hostel+Mess+Others fees- 40,000 app.

You should score around 97 percentile. Even if you have slight less score like 96.6 percentile then also you have a decent chance to get Mechanical.

Bro, marks vary widely according to shift. This will be very inaccurate to say but you should try to score 45% or more.
Reason for high marks and low percentile is various shift of exams, which type of student are sitting in that shift, what is the level of questions in that, etc.

Placement is good here in JSR.
Usually packages in core varies from 6 to 8 lpa. Also here in 2019, 7 or 8 students got package of more than 10 lakhs with highest of 42 lpa.
Median package fluctuates around 7 lpa in Electrical
