The more videos I watch, the more I regret buying a camper, lol. I bought a Jayco, hoping they did a better job of sealing mine, lol. I also had a building put up to house my camper, so it’s out of the weather 99% of the time, so only exposed to weather when we camp.
I own a 2021 KZ sportsman, the rear and side roof gutter trims I assume have a butyl tape behind them(i hipe and pray) and maybe a small bead of sealant at the roof membrane to top of trim joint with exposed trim screws the length of these pieces(no screw cover piece like some trailers). I see this as a potential spot for water access. Is my concern valid and\or is there a solution to cover the screw heads or other solution to attempt to keep water out? Thanks and thanks for taking the time to post and make your videos, I've been watching many of them 🙏
@@bobimbriale6167RV technician here. No, eternabond has pretty specific use cases. Will it seal? Sure but its ugly and you'll look like a bum. Do the job properly and use a caulk gun.

Another awesome video. This is actually my next project. Now I see exactly why it’s so important. Thanks Dustin!
Glad it was helpful!
Great reminder and great video showing why this needs to be inspected and resealed. Thank you.

Would eternabond tape on the seams be a good idea?
No, it would just be best to seal it with caulking.
@@yourrvspecialists Disagree. Eternabond is a very valid and permanent option. Many, many videos on here of successful Eternabond applications.
