First thing to do before you mod your car is to understand what car you have. Your first mod should be one that will improve your cars reliability. I've only owned Rotary cars and the first mod anyone should do to a rotary car is get an Aluminum radiator.
Not the most knowledgeable on cars, but I'm a student of knowledge in general. Very easy to understand by someone (me) not fully in the industry. For this I thank you
If I could do it all over again with my civic I probably wouldn't have bought it. Harsh to say but to me an 8th gen si is just a civic at the end of the day. You need to spends a lot of money to push high hp and tq. Decent fun daily, but it got old quick for me and now I am looking for something faster and nicer interior wise. I would should've bought a 340 or a is350 at the time, but 30k was also triple my budget. Along the way I have to say the biggest mistake to the car was air suspension. Not the kit inherently but how it was installed by the shop. It was on soft dampers at 70 psi squared and ended up damaging the bottom end of the block after the oil pan collided with a manhole on the highway cause of road construction. Wouldve cleared, but the suspension didn't rebound in time so the car was too low to make it past. The kit was 6k with install and the damages came out to be around 9k parts and labor. The repair alone basically totalled the car but I'm keeping it for now till I find something faster and sell the car for a loss.
One time my dad and I went to Valleyfair in Minnesota and I remember we went on a Wednesday. There was literally no line because we showed up at 8am. One of my core memories with my dad
This guy has a lot of wheel opinions, but how would he know? He should bring in an expert who has spend years and years at a company that specializes in wheels and tires. /s
Thank God Ive found you again! You still making Fitment Industries videos? Idk, but your wife is smokin' btw with a sick ass BMW. Im sure you were not aware so I figured Id step in and help out. Thats what subs are for man, dont mention it.
Wheels, tires, brakes, aero. Don't do anything else because the manufacturer can do it way better than you will ever be able to. If you are going to change the suspension you better do it with a highly reputable suspension manufacturer like KW, Bilstein, JRZ or Öhlins. On the topic of trend following. I occasionally see people give others flack for running certain wheels or bodykits or whatnot. Calling them unoriginal. And yeah. It isn't exactly mindblowing to be the owner of the 9 millionth Miata on RPF1's. But who cares? If you like it and it fits what you need then just do it. Just... yknow, don't delude yourself into thinking you are doing something original when you aren't

What's your top tip for modding cars? Let me know below and of course, thank you so much for the support
Upgrades should go as follows:
1.Wheels and good tires
2. Brakes
3. Suspension
4.Transmission
If you make it to step 4 then
5.add more power.

What rotary do you have?,

People shouldn't be wearing a harness unless you have a HANS on. Period.
Love your videos dude!
Totally agree haha, but I know it’s cool to looks at but dear god it sucks to own
Look at*
I feel that. My mk5 supra is a track build and I have 2 six point Schroth harnesses, but also the OEM belts for comfortable off track travel.
@@beardedkuppive got the same setup on my rx8 its great i love it
Holy crap …that’s my build thread you show as an example at the end of the clip !!!
Very cool ..thanks Alex for making my day
Thanks for supporting the ol brand dude! Really trying to make something special so it means the world
Just bought a foxbody mustang with my girlfriend! Taking notes on how to suck less on the mods.

@@Jwiscool Dude, thank you.

You can't be wrong building a car OEM +
Nailed it.

AHHHHH THANKS DUDE. 😂🎉
Valley fair catchin strays out here😂. Totally agree tho. Dont put harnesses in unless you're actually going to track it.

I wish i knnew how mean people would be about my car. In my car's community its a cool one but in the overall car world people hate on it.

This guy is onto something…
I was just telling my friend that /s needs to become more of a thing outside of Reddit. Glad to see it used here!

Suspension should be the #1 topic of this video. It's usually the first thing people do when modifying a car.
is there a list of all these wheels that are from the different places
No, should I make one?
@@AlexMartini. of course
Alibaba has them all, it's just a matter of proper vetting and COMMUNICATION
went from always wanting power to now daily driving a 82 corolla with 50hp on a good day clean simple
Hey so I’m new to this car stuff, let’s say I wanna add car mods, where exactly would I go bc I have no tools and and no idea on what to do
Wich car is on the thumbnail?
That’s Billy’s RX8!
@@AlexMartini. love that!!! But it looked like a Miata nb for a sec
Do one where you do mods to make the car as lightweight as possible without chopping/ruining it
Taking notes for my 3rd gen taco.
Most of the time Less is more or simple is better
It’s always a safe bet. Plus, a proper build with oe style is straight 🎉🎉
Alex make a video talking about tires please
I’m on it!! 🎉
@AlexMartini. Appreciate it man going to be buying some soon and need the experts advice 🤘🏼
WHY ARE YOU TROLLING MAT ARMSTRONG 😮😮😮😮😮😮😅😮😅😅😅
I feel attacked that you used an RX8 in the thumbnail...
I knew I would catch some eyeballs. Maybe a few hands as well 😂
Weight reduction works but at what cost (memories of sitting in a chair 🪑 in my Miata sized car with only the frame protecting me from meeting God) 😳
so you're saying we're not getting march madness this year? aight aight aight
Biggest things is using the right tools 🤣🤣 man I can't tell you how much time I wasted because I wanted to save $40
What A Great Title 🤣😂
I didn’t really know how to title it…so here we are
First thing for new “builders” is to stop calling their cars a build after one bolt-on or slapping on some stickers.
