  • Hi! We're Holly & Conrad
    Instagram - @worldon2wheels
We are currently on a bicycle tour around the world. Our trip started in April 2017 and we have been cycling ever since. We crossed Europe, Turkey and the Pamir Highway in August 2017. Following that, we made our way around SE Asia in 2018.
After completing this section of the trip we flew to Australia and rode down the east coast from Cairns to Melbourne. This part of the series sees us ride around NZ following a year hiatus. In these videos, we hope to show you what our life is like on the road.
Our year in NZ had finally come to an end and it was time to pack up our gear and hit the road again! After a year off the bike we were understandably out of practise but it didn't take long to click back into the live we love - being on the road!
In this video we travel from Christchurch to Dunedin taking in some of the sights of the central / eastern regions of the south island. The overall region offer a diverse set of natural beauty that we span our little legs though each day with amazement. Mountains, lakes, beautiful coastlines were just the beginning and wetted our appetite for the rest of NZ!
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, we're happy to help :)
    Music:
Cuddy T - No name intro
    SVNSET WAVES - Fisherman Pete
    JaySom - Nighttime Drive
Bibio - haikuesque (when she laughs)
Anna Marie Olsson - Celestial Rain

Lovely scenery and you are both so brave to cycle on NZ roads , driving on them is scary enough 🤣🤣

Thank you! I know, it was quite scary at times, it's a shame all the cycling routes don't connect up!

Glad to see them wheels rollin' again. Really enjoyed the video. Absolutely stunning scenery too, reminds me of Port Grim.

Thanks Ken, we are so happy to be back on road too! (Holly here) Yes I am really trying to be more comfortable with the camera and doing voiceovers!! We will be in the US probably 2021, got to cycle from Argentina first :D

Great shots that give a good impression on New Zealand’s trails! One question though: how did you do the map??? 🤔

    • @WorldonTwoWheels
      @WorldonTwoWheels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Cheers. We made the maps in Apple motion and then imported them into final cut pro. It's quite easy to do but makes it much easier to follow!

Welcome back guys, how are you finding the new handlebars? Look good

    • @WorldonTwoWheels

Love them, more comfortable for long days in the saddle and also the wideness helps with the handling on dirt/gravel tracks. Holly has the Surly Moloko handlebars & Conrad has the Jones handlebars. Really recommend them!

What do you do with your bikes and all of your gear when you go on a walk for example? I'm planning to cycle NZ, but would like to do some hikes and walks, but not sure about leaving my bike.

We were just leaving them tucked in the bush or at the car park entrances just taking the valuables. It does feel a little sketchy and I have to admit I was always happy to get back and see the bikes where we left them. Good luck!
