Thanks to all the Kiwis for sending in clips from their slice of New Zealand paradise.
This isn't a sponsored video, but I felt it would be a cool concept to get people talking or thinking about taking a trip somewhere in Aotearoa, our backyard - in their own time and when they can.
I know every tourism and hospitality worker would really bloody appreciate it right now.
Doesn't have to be big, you can go for a trip across the country, or just pop to ya neighbouring town 👍🏼

Has been a big project and I hope it gets us New Zealanders thinking about exploring our backyard and helping out our local Tourism and Hospitality mates that have been having a pretty crappy time since this Coivd d*ck showed up. Fantastic I would love to see more on wellington our capital. We have loverly weather in june no wind flat sea and an awsome ride around wellington coast.great nightlife and lots more.

This actually brought me to tears. I’m a Canadian who has worked in tourism since 1987 and right no my job is gone with no sign of anything coming up. I wish we had someone like you who cared and was so good at highlighting how to best respond to the decimation of tourism. This video truly shows how beautiful your country is and makes me want to travel there. NZ is so lucky to have you.

I've been to New Zealand, and I loved it so much I wish I could move there. Such a beautiful country, such awesome people. Nowhere better on earth, IMHO.

GOOD POINT, we should be out and about now, exploring our country that usually mainly tourist get to do.
I'm sick of hearing Tourists be shocked that we've not seen, been or done everything that we could do.
'Bout time we get out from our jobs for a bit, if we can, and actually live in our country again.

I think it's the same for every country. We don't see much from our country but go miles away. 😄
@@jbloveday9538 Yup that's all true, it's expensive here for us to just live. but at least we don't have to pay the air fare.
And besides, it might be the last time any of us locals get to see some of these places without all the tourism.
It might be worth putting aside a little time to see our home the way it was meant to be before the crowds come back.

This made me miss New Zealand. I’ve only been once, eight years ago when I was eight and didn’t yet realize how special the opportunity was. My older brother had a brain tumor and when he was done with his treatment, he got a Make a Wish, and he and my dad had been reading and watching the Lord of the Rings, so he said he wanted to meet Peter Jackson. We all got to go, and they were filming The Hobbit, so we got to meet a few of the actors and things like that. We stayed an extra week because we wanted to do so many things, and we did do a lot, and I’ll often look at pictures, because it really was a beautiful place and I hope to go back and visit sometime, it was one of the best vacations of my entire life.

I lived there when I was five, I think I’ll always cherish those memories
My daughter was DX with MS when she was 18. If her DX had come 2 months earlier, she would have been granted a make a wish. And, since she, just like your brother, was obsessed with Tolkien, we knew her make a wish would have been NZ. So, last year, we spent 3 weeks touring NZ in a campervan. The most amazing experience ever.

@@blaqni99a You lucky person! I lived in Brisbane for about 6 years too. I can never work out why so many New Zealanders come here to live. Not saying we are bad or anything! LOL. But NZ is magic. I was almost in tears when I came back from there :)
So beautiful. I am 61 years old and while I have gone places to see family, I have never taken a vacation. If I did, it would be to New Zealand. It looks very green, quite different than here in the desert. Thanks for the scenery.

People like that you can see such diversity in such a short amount of travel. like Fishing and swimming in the sea in the morning, shopping and visiting a geyser at lunchtime, and snow skiing in the afternoon.
I love this so much! I've been living in NZ for over 18 months now and I'm still pinching myself every day that I get to live and work here. Can't wait to do some tiki tours around the place this year!
My sister and her husband came to New Zealand (from Delaware, USA) 5 years ago, loved it so much that they came back the next year. She said they loved it so much that if that could have afforded it, they would move there. They liked it that much. One day I hope to go there to visit.

Wow, this is just so brilliant....darn it, something just flew into my eye. As an Aussie who's favourite destination is NZ I have been to a lot of these places already but I always want to go back and visit again as soon as possible. Love Queenstown and the Bay of Islands the most, but NZ is beautiful all over. We will return for sure when all this is over. Well done H T D. Moved to NZ from the USA back in 2000, and my folks moved us back not that long after. Best time of my life was the time I spent in that country.
Hopefully when all this Covid humbug is over I can swing by again and visit my dear old Nelson.

I love NZ! I was lucky enough to take a road trip around the north island and promised myself to return to tour the south. Your country is truly breathtaking and kiwis are one of the most friendly people I've met.

Hi from Milwaukee! I grew up in Chicago/land. Lagrange, Hinsdale. Watched Bozo on Wgn every day at lunch.
Did my masters for 2 years in Auckland back in 2016 and had plans to visit the south in October this year. Did all the itineraries, almost bought the flight tickets, but then covid came and said "bitch no lol". NZ has a special, special place in my heart. The AMAZING untouched nature, the kind and super friendly people, the laidback lifestyle. I WILL FIND MY WAY BACK TO YOU AOTEAROA!

This is the best video if seen in ages! I was in NZ as an Au Pair and I absolutely loved the country and the people. Every time I talked to Kiwis I was shocked that they haven't been to many places in their own breathtaking country. This is a great opportunity to support the locals who are struggling right now and to travel your beautiful country! I wish I was there to go on adventures. Can't wait to go back to NZ in a few years - hopefully forever :D I'm definitely gonna send this video to my Kiwi friends
