Knew it. People think Kairi just acted like a noob here, and to be fair it was a misplay, but he didn’t go mid bush without a reason. He wanted to establish a foothold there before AP Bren could so they would have positional advantage during the Lord clash. Plus since he was using Baxia he had a fairly high chance of getting away with his ulti and first skill. I think he just didn’t expect so many people to be there at once. 2 would have been fine honestly, but 3 of them just melting him outright was unexpected.
Kudos to AP Bren for taking the mid bush first. Kairi took a calculated risk. He miscalculated. It happens.
Doesn’t take away from his legacy as a jungle GOAT at all.

From what I see, it was a proper response they've made considering their frontliners are in dilemma.In the last clash, that mid bush was never an ambush place to begin with so normally they thought on 2 people are there. As mages are mostly stationed there because it can easily pass through the wall with their roamer. Owgwen saw kairi,prompted flap to directly go over because he know he does not need to check any other bushes in the bottom lane. Because kiboy is on the buff side means Onic got no vision, they don't know if marco is shredding the lord because kyle was holding unto it. Sanz was even holding unto his ult even when kairi got caught and he knows butts is nearby with cw. When kairi died, buts ulted out and sanz was covering him as terizla has terrible movements.Kiboy was back ends wanting to help in covering terizla's escape with cw poking to slow them down. But because kiboy dove down to focus Bren unto him, which made the khaleed ult, it prompted the faramis to go forwards with his ult, spotting the yve and just like that, fredrin risked his retri knowing that flicker can't do much when the retri hits him as yve doesn't have blink.

N here’s where ur statement is not valid. Mid bush has always been used as a campsite for ambush at high elos. (Im a mythical glory player myself) n its one of the most beginner campsite for 3-5man gank. Thts y kairi was prompting to open up n readied his ulti bcs his job was to purge the bushes so kadita can be fully utilised w the cover n counter ambushes.
But they lost comms bcs kiboy nvr told kairi to back down. Throughout the fight u realized kiboy n kairi n buts were the main shotcallers n macro leadership.
The reason y kairi blamed himself was bcs he felt tht he shldve waited for buts to have flicker bfr the engage. (But tbh I wouldn’t blame him for tht bcs its hard to track multiple things)There was also lack of comms on if spells like flicker was spent thts y onic couldnt recover a full retreat.( tht part is on kairi)
Sanz cover using yve was also too comfortable he shkdve backdown when fredrin got too close. If sanz was alive instead of buts they prolly couldve covered the last push also.
But itemization wise i feel is why onic lost bcs yve is used as a utility here so yve is doing too lil dmg late game for any successful team fights to favour onic. They shld either itemize yve w/o the enchated talisman or use a diff mage to counter the faramis strat

This. Bren played the latter half of game 7 so perfectly. Onic didn't even break a single tower which was one of the biggest deciding factors. Just as you said, Kairi did not expect to see three Bren members, let alone Marco who was not afraid to take risks.

Butss was the next target. Then Sanz covered him with his ult.
The call was to back away from the fight, yet Kiboy engaged, used his skills catching no one. Then Sanz was forced to maintain his ult to cover Kiboy, which led to being taunted by Kyletzy and Yve's death.
With not enough AOE skills, it will be hard to defend.

Their style isn't really that good compared to most teams especially filipino teams where the captain of the team will be the only one who will actually make the shot call and engagement while in Onic every member contributes to making shotcalls through their own decisions but I guess that's what separates Indo from PH since PH teams generally have good shotcallers like Veenus, Pheww and Light while Onic really only has one shot caller and that is Kiboy even though Butsss is the captain of the team.

Unpopular opinion: the moment they decided to contest that lord with that gold lead at 13 min in the game is already a bad decision. They could've defended it if they gave the lord because they have 3 heroes capable of clearing the waves, also there's no difference even if the apbren got it considering there's no tower to loose except that one at the top lane.

good opinion, that was what onic did in the ub finals against bren on the first match. But unfortunately there is the exhaustion and nerve factor due to it being the game 7 of grand finals. But yeah, this move has never been a bad move, this is the professional move, this is the thing that blacklist has been doing with veenus and blacklist on their prime. First thing I noticed was how disciplined ONIC's comms was. They used short but precise instructions, less overlapping of voices and you'd notice no one's talking when there's no need to do so. Even when they were in a tough spot (Kairi and Sanz telling Kiboy & CW to go back), no one began to vociferate pretty loudly. Simply put, they are calm--'laid-back' in their comms. That is an advantage but at the same time a disadvantage. In my humble opinion, a team should be calm in their shot-calling but would also burst your eardrum to get you to listen & follow an important shot call.

At 4:38, Kiboy could have cleared the upcoming minion wave at the mid that should delay the pressure push made by the AP Bren and enough to buy time for other Onic members to resurrect.

You only cut the moment when kairi went into the bush. But if you check it when the lord is about to respawn, 3 of Bren players came from the top side of the river ahead a few seconds from kairi. The error was not a throw in the game. The intention was clearly to get a proper position and zoning advantage when taking the Lord. It's sad that those 3 were just a few seconds ahead of him and turned out to be an ambush.
Thank you for the ONIC management for giving transparency. Hearing their comms and the battle itself, it strongly suggests that kairi is cleared from the accusations of being impostor to ONIC. As we can see Kairi did everything right which he already calculated but according to the casters APBREN always outplay ONIC's plan (which BREN always the best for me hahaha). BREN calculated that ONIC will take the mid bush for positional advantage thus putting 3 players was the right idea. After kairi takes the said bush he knew that he will die. The mistake I can see is after kairi died they just retreated instead battling the BREN a one man down. You can retreat even you are under attack just do the Guerilla tactic which one of the famous tactics of the Filipinos way back in the world war era.
Anyways Good Game ONIC there is still next time. Don't take this time as blaming each player instead take this as a learning and preparation for the next battle.
It's just very wrong to accuse people immediately. Indo just imported Kairi from PH but after this defeat they bash him right away. From a fellow Filipino this is not right after he did everything for ONIC.

At that point it's safer to clear minions in the base rather than trying to cut minions and if you notice it was already mid game and it was an enhanced minion so Kiboy won't have the time to clear it out and at the same time even defend their base when he will try to recall back.

If the team played differently like ditch Kairi and retreat, they could attempt to defend the final push with the lord giving them more chance unlike the 4v5 with Kai's death. Sad to see that very heartbreaking defeat but kudos to Onic for bringing it into game 7.

In my opinion, it's better if Terizla uses his ulti to slow down the APBREN members from chasing other Onic members (but he will definitely die) rather than using his ulti to escape, so Onic will be left with Yve, Kadita, and Claude. but are these 3 heroes strong in high ground defense? (I really don't know if it's possible for Claude Yve Kadita to be able to do high ground defense against 5 APBREN members, but I think Yve has a strong high ground defense with his ulti, please someone explain is it possible to do high ground defense?😅)
@@hisyammubarak90 If Yve survived the clash instead of terizla there's still a chance that they can defend by regrouping on the high ground because like you said; yve is a good high ground unit, all of her skill have a wide AoE, but technically speaking with more than 10K gold difference it's really hard, AP Bren can shred the base faster than Yve can clear the high ground, but who knows?, ONIC can defend against a 7 lord when they had a good high ground unit so it might be possible.

Kairi, in this match, is the only one really capable of checking bushes. Sanz (Yve) cannot check that bush because it would be an easy pickoff for Owgwen and Super Marco, as well as Kiboy. CiWi cannot use his 2nd Skill because it will be like a go-sign for AP BREN to engage him.

Kairi did not throw the game, he's just doing what his role is supposed to do.

He did not expect 3 members there. Take note of BUTSS and KIBOY's positoning here. Why them? Because for sure Terizla and Yve's ult is a set up for Kadita's Ult. Kairi is getting pummelled. Look where BUTTS at? He is in perfect position to setup his ult but Kiboy is too far since he checked the back bush of the purple buff. Kairi dies. Now Butts is suddenly on the danger zone he is next to get pummelled. Kairi and Kiboy instructed to retreat because Kiboy is too far to them.
