His attitude was just great! Anyone else would have been cussing, breaking things, throwing things, or not have finished the whole, yet he came out smiling somehow.😃
I actually found this when trying to find footage of his final round in the 2013 masters (i'm not sure if it made the broadcast or not). He found Rae's Creek 3 times, but never took the drop, to finish with a 10. After the second ball went into the water and he still wouldn't take the drop, we all stood up and applauded him. After the third ball went in the water, the whole place started going nuts when he reached for a fourth. I've gone to the masters since 1986 and I don't think I've ever seen such a reaction. Completely won me over that day.
Ha... I got a 12 on a par 4 today after hitting my drive out of bounds and then taking 4 shots to get out of a bunker, so I came home and searched for this vid, just to make me feel a little better :P
I shot a 13 in a tournament on a hole in the second of two rounds in a tournament. The next day was the Pro Am. One of my teammates in that event had been looking at the scorecards from the previous day and just as everyone hushed to hear the speech/rules announcement before we all went to our assigned holes he comes out of the club house and yells "Hey Chris, we're starting on number 6. I hope we do better than your 13 from yesterday." You couldn't not hear it. The whole field was at that point aware that I had a 13 the day before. Things is...I shot an 8 on #6. It was #8 that I shot the 13 on. But there was no way I was going to correct him. lol We won the Pro Am btw. Golf, it's a helluva game.
Yeah, after watching this video, it seems like it would be really difficult (and a little bit arbitrary) to determine what counts as a stroke and what Kevin's score should've been. You can even hear in the video that after his 12th shot, both Kevin and his caddy have no idea how many strokes he's at.
Sometimes the bear gets you! Way to hang in there and your integrity is still in Tack, I applaud you, I know it is big money, but everyone has those moments! Just ask Arnold!!
Glad he can laugh at all this. Poor guy, but we've all been there. Personally, after my 10th stroke, I pick the ball up, but that's usually because people are behind me.
congrats on qualifying as your team's number one. Focus on controlling your breathing and pace of walking. Both should be relatively slow and consistent. By doing this it will help to keep you relaxed.
I thought you could only get a maximum of three times the par in the PGA. For example max on a par 3 is a 9, max on a par 4 is a 12, max on a par 5 is a 15. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow. A dodecal-bogie on a Par 4. Also known as the rare "double snowman"
at 1:43 when Na asked his caddy "how are we gonna count all the shots?" and his caddy said "I have no idea" .. I laughed pretty hard :D
I'm a Kevin Na fan now.
Us too!
Was this fun for him? .... Na
Chris M hey-o!
Kevin is a great golfer nice to see he has a sense of humor to match
Totally. Seems like a great guy who was able to put a positive spin on a tough situation.

Great story!
What is he like #12 in the world now? Mistakes were had, but he sure made up for it.
I don't think he ever got angry...amazing...and I am also a Kevin Na fan for life
Wow...What a great attitude...Tiger should watch this...
Wonder what Tiger Woods' reaction would be to shooting a 16 here...
The Whistle he probably would have left the tournament after the third time off of the teebox lol
The Whistle Tiger Woods wouldn't get a 16 that's the difference
Whistle Sports Woods wouldn't shoot a 16 there.
"If I go back to the tee I'm making quad on this hole...thats not good."
This makes me feel really good, with my first varsity match as the number one golfer on our team, when the pressures on, i'm not.

6-iron?!?! He should have made a tribute to Tin Cup and used a 7-iron.
What a great attitude.
Good call!
He's a good guy. Great attitude. Very humble.
Congrats on being the top golfer on your squad, Jack. I'm sure after a few matches you'll get used to the pressure (Kevin certainly did!).

Great advice!

These guys are good.
I can't blame him...he wanted to back to the tee after the fifth shot!
Yeah, Kevin was a great sport about it. I'm sure he wishes he could've picked up that ball after his 10th stroke!
Good question - really hard to make that out. Anyone know?
when i was playing off 20, i took a 12 down our par 4 first and still managed to get down to 19 :')
So crazy
We should make a video about him too...
You are so right Alica Saunders. He even says how amateurs can laugh at it.
He could have hit a wedge off the tee on the 3rd shot and save or an 7
Hahaha, that's what the video's here for!
quadruple...par? haha
I don't think I've ever made a 16.
I played with a guy in a tournament who took a 26 on a par 4. Just saying, it could get worse.
What would've happened if he reteed it instead of looking for that second tee shot in the woods?
It must have taken him weeks, it takes him an hour a hole just too par
My worst was 11, and I thought that was bad.....
Haha, it's a good reminder that even the pros can have terrible days too!

level:not asian

Didn't like the attitude of his caddy. He should have known how many shots he made.
it wasn't his attitude. it was hard keeping track because he hit so many
