Looks like a fun water toy. Since it stays so dry on inside, it might be fun to experiment with adding a FC and program it for some nav missions. Not sure about adding FPV camera on top, as that might be a bit risky, but could be another fun experiment. Not expecting, as know you have too many projects already. Just noting the possibles such a vehicle would be capable.
I haven't seen the Arrow in person, so I'm just going off the info I see online. The Arrow had what looks like a larger motor, and claims a higher top speed. It doesn't have the "tacky" LED lights in the hull either... lol It looks like a bit higher end boat, but costs a little more too. My guess is they are both good boats. If cost wasn't a factor I'd pick the Arrow. Even if cost is a factor, I'd consider you may get more boat for the higher price, so kind of hard to decide... lol
You said you sent it out as far as you could comfortably see it. How far was that ? Do you have a feel for what its range actually is ? And what about the duration ?
UDI claims 100m, or a bit over 300ft. I'd say I was about that far out. They say 8 minutes on the included battery, which is accurate. The one time I timed it, it was right at the 8.5 minute mark when the low battery warning kicked in.
lol The burnout is real! Had to take a break when the building and flying started to feel more like work than fun. ;) I'll be back to flying soon though! Days are getting longer and it's warming up.

Do you have any tips for removing the set screws for greasing? Are all 3 needed to be removed?
Thanks for posting the video.
Do you know if this boat will handle a 4s battery? I know the instructions don’t say it.. but wondering if unofficially it will handle it
Which one would you recommend between UDIRC UDI005(Arrow) vs the one in this video(UDI018)?
Pls reply

@@bonafidepirate Thanks. Looked like fun.
When ya puttin wings and fpv on it?
Given enough time... lol!
PeterSripol did this with pretty good results. Would be waste of a good boat setup, and an expensive DYI floatplane. LOL
Awesome little boat, Keith! 😃
RC is always fun! And I always wanted to FPV a boat like that! 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Could this handle a fish? Like let’s say I wanna fish with this boat 😂
Looks like it has room for Ardupilot :-)
What?????? Who is this? What did you do with Keith? Where is the body!

@@bonafidepirate good on you for knowing yourself, getting rest, and finding some other outlet for fun.
@@bonafidepirate well... All I can say is: if it's rc, bring the videos! I'm definitely going to watch them. 😃
I'd love to FPV that on a big lake. Neato!
