Nice 'dawn' flight deer patrol. It looked like the ground fog was messing with you hiding behind your antenna beam to the north side of the bayou. (4:20, 16:30) A side effect of that north wind. Too bad there is not an HD camera switcher option like is common with analog cameras. Such could allow mounting a second camera with a telephoto lens zoomed in on the centred of the default walksnail lens view. An eagle-eye for the Eagle.
That vegetation is probably water chestnut. I work for a company that uses drones to spray stuff like that as well as crop dusting and other invasive species
It's "hyacinth", I couldn't remember the name at the time... lol www.lsuagcenter.com/topics/environment/invasive%20species/water-hyacinth/issue Spraying with a drone sounds fun! lol
@bonafidepirate oh I've never heard of that. We operate in the northeast mainly New York and Pennsylvania. Yeah it's a pretty cool gig we do some pretty unique jobs with them. Our biggest will lift 186lbs
How are you getting the large degree of pan on the camera? I have seen some servos say 180 deg, but you have to give 500 to 2500 to get that. I'm using ELRS and EdgeTX and I can enable extended limits, but still don't get that much range.
The servo I'm using is either 270 or 300 degrees, I forget which, and use some of both on various planes... lol To get that range though, they also need 500-2500uS signal. Even the extended range in OpenTX or EdgeTX won't give you that much. You can get it with Inav and Ardupilot though, where you set up the endpoints for the outputs.
It's a slightly modified version of Sneaky FPV's Conthrax font. He was nice enough to make it available on his site too (sites.google.com/view/sneaky-fpv/home) Scroll down to Walksnail, click on Ardupilot, that will take you to a google drive. Click Ardupilot again, then Community, and you'll see the file SNEAKY_FPV_WS_AP_BonafidePirate.zip
Great early morning flight m8....Enjoyed that cold still air...That wind speed estimator seems incredibly acurate as it dropped into the lee behind those trees...😮😏😀🇬🇧
4S1P 21700mAh Li-Ion, 5000mAh Occasionally I fly it with 4S2P 18650 as well, but really I like this battery a little better. It's lighter and still has more than enough capacity for what I do with it... lol

Pretty amazing flying, Keith! 😃
That's a fantastic airframe indeed! Love it!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Smmmoooooth landing. Deer are cute to watch. Do you have any special gear to keep your Rx antenna's pointed at the aircraft?

@@bonafidepirate oh awesome, thanks. I've just had a few flights with my new walksnail kit. This will ne a nice improvement.

Nice morninr video. Do you have a video on how to overlay the OSD to the output video?
Love your flights.
Looks like your video LQ improved :D
I did make some changes on the receiver end, I'll have a video on that soon too, hopefully.
