Loved the interview. I love the timing of everything ✨ Ive been meditating and practicing the exact same stuff Aaron here talked about infact this is a funny coincidence as today's session was about how we like to categorize experiences into good or bad, positive or negative this black and white thinking, nothing wrong it but as long we're aware of it and that its our subjective reality it makes a difference by not letting us be trapped in the mental prîsons we build and stay in.
It all sounds so simple and easy but it actually is not. As an anxious soul who has been this way since i was a kid i can't just undo it all when my anxiety doesn't help me (sleep ) but slowly experiencing it and letting the wisdoms help me are what i love.❤
Which wisdoms (from where)?
@@pergolafish from the teachings here on SCS. ☺
Aah, yes, thanks.
I can truly say that when you conquer insomnia, you are invincible to it
Phenomenal interview! I learned about the three principles from Daniel's interview with Lily Sais. It was so beneficial in my recovery! Thank you!
So glad you’ve found this way Brittany 😊
Ah I know of Aaron Turner! this is great, thanks Daniel
So glad you found this Jami 😊 thanks for chiming in!
Thanks! Daniel interesting video

hypnagogic hallucinations what to about it, if it’s preventing me to sleep, I think I have hypnagogic hallucinations with also sleep monitoring or you called hyper awareness, now I completing 4 years with this, I don’t know what to do
Thank you for the video!! I have a quick sleep question🙏🙏🙏
At night when I wake up, my thoughts start racing. Not about anything bad, but it’s just like one thought after another that keep rolling in. They aren’t anxious thought about sleep, but could be even something as simple as what I’m going to wear the next day and planning my whole outfit in my head. It would make more sense why these continuous thought were keeping me up if they were negative and anxious, but they are more just loud chatter. I’m very confused on what to do. Do I try not to engage with them? For example, if my thought it-what am I going to wear tomorrow, I find myself engaging and thinking about all my options-but that keeps my brain active and keeps me awake. But sometimes I feel like me trying not to engage with them turns into more of a mental battle. Any help would be SO beyond appreciated, I tried to find a video on this before asking, but couldn’t exactly find one!
Anytime! And you know I think actually this very video is a great one. Listen to where I ask what Aaron meant when he saw he was about to jump in to his thoughts, and how his life changed when he found himself no longer jumping in. This way of relating to thoughts as clouds I think helps so much
I want to set it and forget it so badly. Sometimes I get scared that my brain is in a permanent state of hyperarousal :( is such a thing possible?
It is possible to be in a state of hyperarousal but is not as bad as you think it. It is product of a misunderstanding that lead to

Confusion. When you understand is simple. Clarity is an innate quality of who you are essentially. If what you want is peace let your thoughts alone and the mind settles itslef and there you are clear and at peace. With ❤
@simplicityofunderstanding3886 thank you but that isn't the case for me. I found out that my hyperarousal has nothing to do with fear of wakefulness but a legitimate neurological change in my brain that my horrifying event caused. I'm working with a neurologist now. My insomnia is different and is not simply a fear of wakefulness or a behavioral thing. My body and mind are calm but neurologically something has changed for me. hope this channel works for those with sleep anxiety but I left it because it was not helping my situation.
Thanks do this channel I left insomnia ❤ I'm forever grateful for what you've done for me. I like coming back here for the wisdom of this kind. I've been interested in 3 principles for a while and Aaron explained it so nicely.
So glad to read these lines! Thank you for being in touch and for the support 😊!
May I ask how long your journey lasted?
Hehe I'm just sharing one thought of mine....
People here seem to relax when they get to know that insomnia is just the fear of not sleeping and there's nothing wrong with your brain. But for me it's the scariest cause. Because if your insomnia is due to for example sleep apnea or anxiety, depression. So when you treat that root cause then your insomnia is also gone. But when you have no reason to have insomnia like me. And it's just the fear then it's harder to treat.
You’re definitely not alone! So many have said they actually initially were even more scared for exactly this reason. Changing behavior or taking some medication, it’s easy to see how to do that. But a change in mindset, that’s much more fuzzy and we don’t know how that will happen. But… it’s already happening Tanu, just from this comment it’s clear the journey to where you want to be has begun
Anybody knows who had the most severe insomnia and has a recovery story? By severe I mean who had it the longest. I feel like I can't relate as much to people who had it for months or like a year. I'm afraid that the longer you have it the more damage is done and the harder it is to reverse the effects.
My friend had severe insomnia and now sleeps 5-8 hours a night on avg. It's not the sleep he had before but it's given him his life back. He has to have strict routine but it's much better than before. Sometimes bad night but no more nights of 0. He had it for 5 years. Longest he went without sleep was like 11 days (and he is a health conscious person without psychiatric issues. The root was intense hyperarousal even though he didn't realize it. Silent hyperarousal is the worst.)
@@leafsleafsleafs2 That's good to hear as I have it for five and a half years now. The weird part is the stirct routine to me. That seems to be the opposite of what they teach here. Do you know what that routine is? Is he avoiding stuff in the evening? So he recovered with the SCSs' teachings?
I don't remember the names but there are people who shared their stories and some of them had for really long like 10 - 15 years. 🤷🏻♀️ I'm sure you'll find someone who's had it for really long and their success story up here.
@@Sunflowersarepretty well I found one but then he said that he recovered in like six months....
@@mestayno well some people can recover fast but dont give up hope. I have watched plenty of their recovery videos and there are many where Coach Daniel always mentions this that we're hearing a long journey condensed in a hour long video so do watch some recovery stories and even if you don't find someone who's in the same boat it'll at least give you some hope that these people did it too. I do remember hearing a few stories where someone had a pretty long struggle I just don't know their names anymore or else I would've mentioned them.
