Touching on the graffiti writers being tattooists, I often think it's odd when a tattooist who was never a writer attempts to do a "graffiti" tattoo, usually pretty easy to tell the difference in the design.
The claim 'debunked' was the Graffiti originated out of the hip hop culture. That much is false, it was INTEGRATED into the Hip-hop culture, and largely predates it.
@@purga1563 lot of modern graffiti can be traced back to hip hop in the 80's though. Ofcourse writing on walls is as old as time but a lot of stylistic conventions and technical basics still used today were pretty much founded in the 80's hip hop culture.

The evolution was always going to happen from the seeds planted even back in the 60s, hip hop INFLUENCING the evolution of the EXTANT artform, doesn't make graffiti "traceable back to hip hop."

I think graffiti was invented by that one person who spit on his hand in a cave to make an outline of it.
