I had planned to visit Prague last year during June but alas this pandemic had all my plans junked. I keep on following your videos and these are so nice. Will surely be visiting Prague once the travel restrictions are lifted👍

Will these places be crowded once the tourist start pouring in again? Planning to visit once travel properly starts which I am guessing will be August/September. It looks very nice and would love to visit but for me tourist crowds are something I like to avoid if possible. :)

Vysehrad is never really busy. But other attractions...hard to say. At the moment Prague is still empty. Normally in August and September it's crowded, but this year probably won't be.

@@RealPragueGuides Alright good to know. Thanks a lot! I will definitely visit Vysehrad on my next visit then since I somehow have missed it even though been to Prague over 20 times.

I'm coming to Prague in a week and it's my first time, but I think I'm having to warn you, even if there are fewer tourists in Prague, there probably will still be A LOT.
If you want to avoid tourist crowd simply avoid the hotspots such as Charles bridge and old town square and go to places off the beaten path, such as Vysherad, instead. Or simply go 2-3 streets away from the main tourist attractions.

I just got back to the Netherlands on October 16th, from my 2nd visit to Prague since September. More tourists are beginning to visit again, but it wasn't particularly crowded. I thought it was just right.

Just because you've reached the Vyton stop by tram doesn't mean you're at Vysehrad yet. You have to go under the bridge, and keep heading south along the river. On your left, you will pass the white building pictured at 0:33, and Sokol Vysehrad, which I think is a children's school. Then a little further there is a small sign that points left to the long stair climb up the hill. At the top, you'll first encounter the magnificent Basilica of Peter and Paul, well worth a visit inside even if you're not religious (like me). There are live classical organ concerts there occasionally. I also saw the Rotunda of St. Martin, but it was locked. There are pictures of the interior on the outside though. I saw the four staues in the park next to the church, and found the Devil's Pillars, too. The panoramic views of the surrounding city from Vysehrad are some of the best you'll find in Prague! But if there's an actual castle at Vysehrad, I must have missed it. I don't know how. I walked all the way around the perimeter.

It used to be a castle, thus the name "hrad" in English "castle". Thanks for the detailed description of how to get there from the tram stop ❤️

@@RealPragueGuides I'm not 100% sure, but in the afternoon of October 16th, (2021) after I was walking out of the Museum of Illusions across from the Astronomical Clock, I thought I saw Vaclav leading a group of tourists. Could it have been him? Anyway, this museum would definitely be worth a visit in one of your future videos.

I think that's definitely possible 😅. Vaclav is there almost every day.
