We barely ever won in the nineties, but it had so many great players. Most teams had at least two superstars. Even Zimbabwe had a good squad. I hope WI can one day return to playing great cricket? This would return their amazing crowds
WI were plagued by two mediocre keepers in the 90s, junior murray and especially courtney browne.....who dropped two catches off the opposition's best batsmen's blade ten years apart at the same ground. Steve Waugh on 40 in 1995 at Sabina Park and Inzamam ul Haq in 2005 also at Sabina Park. In both tests, the WI captain had scored a hundred, and in both tests those two gentlemen went on to make match winning centuries, nullifying the WI captain's contribution. Ul Haq was on 0 when he was dropped
In addition to dropping those 2, Browne dropped Kallis in 2005 in Guyana and he went on to score a massive century, nullifying WI's big first innings score.
thank you for uploading this , it so nice to hear Bob Willis RIP.

This is great, please upload full recordings of matches from the 1990s, especially from the 1999 series against Australia, we would love it
1:03:46 This is one of the main reasons why B.C. Lara's Excalibur flair of batsmanship on display is the greatest ever 🔥! One Luv ❤️!!!
Six Test matches against English. Now in 2024, Windies can barely get a three match Test series against any team.

Junior Murray wasn't mediocre.
@@kfreckle5453 yes...he was slightly above mediocre
Lara and Hashim Amla my fav player
Ramnarine should have played more matches for WI.
Carl Hooper the legend
Lambert scored a century while Lara scored 89, so why does the headline start off with "Lara leads Windies to huge total"?
