Oh Satoshi, I woke up Happy seeing you on this video. You had me at the staring competition! You’re like a poet describing the taste of everything. Today is Satoshi Day 😘 thank you for always make me smile watching yr video together. Love to both
I'll be staying in Otsuka (God willing) in September. I heard about the Sakura tram there and already planned to ride up and down the line. Thanks for this video. I can't wait to be able to visit Minowa and enjoy some delicious food. Stay safe guys! ❤️
It was so nice to see both of you enjoying a trip together. The food looked amazing. The tempura sounded good...that crunch! Yum! And I couldn't believe that caramel bread. Omg! That looked delicious.😋
1:21 triggered so many emotions for me. Due to the pandemic I haven't been able to visit Japan for a while and while that tram ride is maybe somewhat normal for Japanese people, it hits all the right notes for me and makes me miss Japan so much. That combined with the music and then followed up with food tasting... what a good video. Thank you so much. Also: as someone who lives in The Netherlands, I also prefer not to have cinnamon in my stuff, haha.
How wonderful to see you out and about together! This entire video was special--the nostalgia and welcoming nature of Minowa Shotengai; the amazing food (e.g., the crunchy Beni shōga tempura, and gyoza brimming with vegetables); your obvious enjoyment of the food, each other, and your surroundings; and Spring touches like the bright, blooming azalea and the gentle rain shower. Thank you for 20 minutes of comfort and joy. I'll definitely watch this video again! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
What I like the most about Japanese food from all the other Asian food. Japanese respect the preparation of the food more. I really admire that. Whether it's street food or local mom and pop restaurant they take pride and respect the way they prepare the food. My grandma was Japanese so I know 😁
I love the way satoshi san described the feeling of drinking your favorite coffee! Yes I completely understand! 🤣 love these type of videos from you guys! I miss japan 😞
Uhh!!! I loved the anime figures in the window glass... it is interesting to watch your long journey to get to the precious and delicious food . Greetings guys I really enjoyed the video.
It really is interesting to see fully-functioned tram nowadays. I enjoy the tram ride and I always enjoy your street food video. I found them inspiring!
My friend and I had dinner from one of our local Japanese restaurants last night. It’s probably adapted for Western tastes, but I love it. I tried takoyaki for the first time, and it was delicious!
Ughhhhh I hate you guys because I was eating when this video came out and now I wish I was eating your delicious snacks!!! Stay safe and keep enjoying delicious food and coffee!!
This reminds me of some of my favourite places in Osaka, around Abenobashi. Not flashy and quietly friendly. The food and coffee look so good here, thanks for letting us enjoy it with you!
I like that you took us with you in the train and that you showed us the surroundings. It’s really enjoyable and the music is a plus! Keep up the good work! Love you guys!
Whenever I see a video that involves a unique method of transportation, I just know that Satoshi must have had fun planning/researching that trip. This area looked so quaint and retro. I'm glad I've learned more about shōtengai because I definitely want to make them part of my next trip to Japan. Also, the azaleas in the park were such a vivid pink! And the camellia at the beginning was lovely, too! I went to Japan at the beginning of sakura season and, while the sakura were very lovely, the variety and beauty of the camellias blew me away.
My apartment is next to the park. I've been living for almost 2 years but I only been to the front half of the Shotengai. The meat store and the home made bread store are awesome.
I love this style! My boyfriend and I always watch your videos, we want to take our honeymoon in Japan and your recommendations are important to us! Keep it up! :)
I began smiling as soon as I saw your video. Enjoy seeing both of you in this video. But you have made me hungry. Everything looked & sounded delicious.
Great to see you both outside again trying delicious food while taking us with you. The CRUNCH from the tempura was AMAZING. Be safe and take care. Cheers.
Thank you for such a wonderful video. It was so calming and pleasant to take a little trip with both of you. I long for the days when we can travel again but I am grateful for your content. 💜
Finding Beni Shoga /pickled ginger tempura in Tokyo is rare. I visited many places with my son when he was little by Toden. These local shops looks so interesting. Thanks for another cool video!
Oh wow, I was researching that tram last month and even watched a video detailing the entire run. Good to know about that shotengai in Minowa as I can fill up before riding the tram..
Ok ok ok I like the idea of taking a ride on the tram, seeing a Tokyo neighborhood outside the touristy or highly visited area, but what attracted me the most was the FOOD (as almost always), those gyoza, the tempura - wow -- It made my mouth water.
I am not crazy about cinnamon either that apple pie cake looked so yummy I bet it tasted yummy also. Great to see you guys out tasting good foods once again.
Everything looked so delicious. :3 I loved seeing Satoshi looking into the camera while on the tram, haha. Also, enjoyed listening to Yoasobi while you guys were eating at the park!
We definitely have Minowa Shotengai marked on our map to visit! Kyde and Eric did a video of the whole Sakura Tram line which was very interesting but they didn't get to this location.
I adore a nice Shotengai. The onion and ebi tempura....NICE. Looked like a pretty day with lots of yummy treats. Yay!! Also...Satoshi, I think you are trying to say the coffee touches your soul, lol. We coffee drinkers get it.
ohhh I never knew this place though I live close by otsuka, went trough the sation almost every day by train. And I know that tram well.... and it's so close relatively to nippori! wish I knew this place sooner. definitely going to check it out when back in town, Shotengai are so fun to go to. A bit sad to see a shotengai so quiet but understandable with the current situation. I hope these kind of places will survive this challenging time. Tuna bao sounds interesting, and those hotate kushi at torifuji look amazing (I saw them lying in the storefront) and the bbq stick looks sooooooo delicious! and I really want to try the edo taiko; never seen that one. I'm craving dorayaki right now hahaha
we actually took this same trip during the cherry blossom season. Total time warp and we enjoyed it as well! Like you said, you can tell that it's hanging on by a thread and I'm sure the pandemic has not done the shops any favors as well. Get out and see it if you can everyone!
Yo, the JJK theme song was playing in the background as he took a sip of that amazing coffee...that's life, in my opinion of course. There are so many small shops to discover, I love it 😍
I enjoyed this throughly! I love seeing these non-tourist places. Another YTuber just did Happy Road, so I got double the fun today. Please do more. Now I have to go try to be satisfied with disappointing tempura or goyza.
Great video as always. The pickled ginger tempura looks beautiful and maybe sometime I will try to make it. This was a wonderful area to visit. Thanks so much you guys are great.
This neighbourhood looked so cute!!! Are you able to bring us around some other local spots to see the streetscapes? Love you guys! Thanks for the great content as usual! Want some tempura now!
Everything in this video looked delicious!! But that coffee... I need to experience that! The way Satoshi described it made me want to try it so badly!
Thanks guys for another nice video tour. Here in Japan, the independent coffee houses are the best. I also love Doutor Coffee, which is a nation-wide coffee shop, and is very good. I drink their coffee everyday. Starbucks coffee is horrible, not sure why anyone wold drink their coffee. Take care everybody!!

I could not believe the crunch that came from that tempura.
I just love Satoshi and his reactions
Oh Satoshi, I woke up Happy seeing you on this video. You had me at the staring competition! You’re like a poet describing the taste of everything. Today is Satoshi Day 😘 thank you for always make me smile watching yr video together. Love to both

I'll be staying in Otsuka (God willing) in September. I heard about the Sakura tram there and already planned to ride up and down the line. Thanks for this video. I can't wait to be able to visit Minowa and enjoy some delicious food. Stay safe guys! ❤️

I hope you have a fabulous trip or at this point had a fabulous trip!!!
It is September now! How is it in Otsuka?
Wow...that tempura crunch sound...!
It was so nice to see both of you enjoying a trip together. The food looked amazing. The tempura sounded good...that crunch! Yum! And I couldn't believe that caramel bread. Omg! That looked delicious.😋
Beautiful scenery and lovely people. What a great place

Also: as someone who lives in The Netherlands, I also prefer not to have cinnamon in my stuff, haha.
This was nice you were able to review each food store in such a colorful plaza.
The transition where you were on the tram made me miss japan and feel some heartache. Love all your videos
All those foods you guys ate looks so amazing! Got me hungry.

Yeah they take care and the meat I’m sure doesn’t taste empty.

@@Sei-No-More ahh do you mean 'yori ni kakeru'?
@@shuaiwang4832 Hang in there buddy. You're not alone. As you can see, I noticed it as well.
That tempura sounded so crispy and light. It made me drool. Thanks for the tour of street food! Looks like a great place.
Uhh!!! I loved the anime figures in the window glass... it is interesting to watch your long journey to get to the precious and delicious food . Greetings guys I really enjoyed the video.
Yes. The windows were painted nicely!
It really is interesting to see fully-functioned tram nowadays. I enjoy the tram ride and I always enjoy your street food video. I found them inspiring!
Awesome video of the tram ride. Gives me nostalgic feelings of riding the transportation in Japan.
My friend and I had dinner from one of our local Japanese restaurants last night. It’s probably adapted for Western tastes, but I love it. I tried takoyaki for the first time, and it was delicious!
Thanks for taking us along, we miss our street food adventure days when we were in Japan!
Everywhere you went today you found a lovely place to get food and backgrounds with beautiful flowers Japan is pretty in the spring.
Love the scenic kinda slice-of-life views from the tram!
Ughhhhh I hate you guys because I was eating when this video came out and now I wish I was eating your delicious snacks!!!
Stay safe and keep enjoying delicious food and coffee!!
A really good cup of coffee during a day of wandering and eating is such pleasure. So happy you are doing these types of vids again. Be well!
So happy to be on this trip with you guys. Thank you for always putting so much effort and love in every video!
Watching Satochi's reaction to this coffee on repeat. Look how intense his eyes get after he says "can you understand?". I love it.
Happy to see you venturing out and trying street foods again.
Keep safe💕
Ahh good to see Satoshi getting out and about!
This reminds me of some of my favourite places in Osaka, around Abenobashi. Not flashy and quietly friendly.

I too really hope that those local shops keep on existing, thank you so much for another great and informative video!
Great to see you both. It's on my list once we can travel again. Thanks for the introduction to Minowa.
Beni shiga tempura sounds amazing! That's something I definitely want to try.
very nice video! Thanks guys. Stay safe
I love living near Minowa. It's quiet, low-key, old-school, unpretentious and has great inexpensive food. You hit many of my favorite spots.
Satoshi has really come out of his shell over the years, I'm so glad! :)
...perfect food vlog, very well done both of you, よくやった 🤩😁
Loved this, from the tram trip to the eating. Thank you for the Skillshare class recommendation, too!

Finding Beni Shoga /pickled ginger tempura in Tokyo is rare. I visited many places with my son when he was little by Toden. These local shops looks so interesting. Thanks for another cool video!
