Malaysia is seriously such an amazing country!! So many different culture, wonder how Malaysians can understand each other so well. Can’t think of any other country like this!
*NEW YEAR* : 🇰🇷 : *Seollal* . 3 days of celebration (day before, on a day & day after Korean New Year (Korean lunisolar calendar). Besides, cooking & giving ’Asyura’ dish to neighbours on 10 Muharram (10th day of first month in Islamic lunar calendar). Only 3 types of Asyuras from 3 different regions. 🇲🇾 Chinese : *Chinese New Year* . The biggest festival for Chinese community. Celebrated until 15th days based on Chinese lunisolar calendar). They wear traditional outfits, family visiting, having big feast with family along dishes like yee sang, nian gao etc, giving angpao (money in envelope) & etc. 🇲🇾 Indian (Tamil Hindus) : *Puthandu* . The benefit of eating with hand is to improve digestion. We have some bacteria, known as normal flora, found on the palm and fingers of the hand. It is not harmful to humans, it in fact protects us from many damaging microbes in the environment. When you eat with your hands, the flora in the fingers is swallowed. It is beneficial for health and for various body parts such as the mouth, throat, and intestine, and it promotes healthy digestion in the gut. Handling food with your fingers releases digestive juices and enzymes. Also, millions of nerve endings in your fingers relay the message that you’re about to eat, including the temperature of the food, level of spiciness and texture of food, thereby prepping the stomach for digestion. Also, in Islam, the Sunnah is to use your right hand while eating. Sunnah are the traditions and practices of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, that constitute a model for Muslims to follow. The sunnah is what all the Muslims of Muhammad's time evidently saw and followed and passed on to the next generations.
Actually the more accurate version for The Chinese Valentine would be Qixi Festival. The story between Cowherd and Weaver Girl. Korean also celebrate this festival as Chilseok. It always fall on the 7th of the 7th month in the Chinese Calendar.
That's Malaysia..Malaysia's food/culture are not just the Malay one.. U come to Malaysia & u can experience Malay,Sabah, Sarawak, Chinese, Indian etc food and culture..Its like vsiting few country..Thats the awesomeness of our beloved Malaysia.
Really good episodes. Exchanging cultures and learning more about values and traditions. All of them shows good chemistry, very well articulated and hilarious. Love this!
I only know that Bro Chu is actually Karl Chu via this channel.. 1- Bro Chu 2- Karl Chu 3- Sambal Man 4- Sedap Man *Nice to see fellow Chu's here.. 😁😁👍👍
That way of folding the banana leaf is pretty interesting. We eat on banana leaf too here in Indonesia but nobody gives a shit about how the leafs are folded. They usually just fold or should I say, shove it randomly into a plastic bag and then done lol
For sure sofea know what she can / cannot eat. And producer have common sense not to serve food that she cant eat. Everyone have their own preferences, let ppl have choices.
the koreans look like super mean and rude to the indian and malay. I mean, if you don't speak good english, doesn't mean you can be rude to the others right? The indian, malay and chinese who speak other native languages still do speak english better than them. lol
The India guy so cute his expression and his chemistry with chu is so matching
Karl and Jiven are like meant to be duos. Both are naturally funny as hell so it makes sense
