To my nose there is hardly anything woody nor green in Gucci Gulty Elixir. I can rarely stand those notes. I find it to be powdery, soapy and floral, but not too flowery ! Gucci Guilty Elixir is probably the most refined, most sophisticated and most polished fragrance I have ever tried.
Excellent review on both fragrances! I would personally buy both for my collection!

Thanks for the review-I agree on the dry down, to me Reflection is too powdery (baby powder) in the dry down but I haven't tried it in hot weather. Smelled once GGE and had to buy it, the performance and projection are just awesome, great quality

Great video.. I stumbled upon Gucci guilty elixir 3 weeks ago at an off duty.. Having no knowledge about its existence, I was shocked to be immediately reminded of Reflection Man which I also have. Living in a cooler climate, I appreciate the density, power and warmth behind the Elixir.. They definitely don't smell all alike but the similarities are there.. I even tried layering the two but it's safe to say, they work better separately than together 😂

Great video, agree on all points, always heard about similarities but honestly couldn’t feel it myself, two different fragrances to my olfactive capacities 🤷🏻♂️… I enjoy both but prefer Reflection Man

Yeah, for me, they smell zero alike. Not even close. Wouldn't even wear them in the same seasons.

The only similarity between them, at least to me, is what they both lack. Totally agree - you can own both and they’d fulfil very different purposes. Little-to-no overlap.

I have Gucci guilty elixir i quite like it and you are right about it staying on clothes i can smell it strong on the jacket i wear to work and it's been about a week since i last put gg elixir on lol any fragrance i wear seems to get blocked out by gg elixir on that jacket

I have both. Guilty Elixir is my surprise fragrance lastyear, instant love. I love both so much. Guitly Elixir has a strobger performance.
I would wear Reflection Man more on formal occassions, GE is more casual in my opinion.

In the UK, Reflection Man is a lot more expensive per ml than Elixir. About 1.6x as much at full retail. Is this different in the US? Edit: Great reviews btw!

I wonder if reflection 45 would be a better formulation to compare to Gucci guilty elixir since they may be closer in oil content and that may make those two more similar.

I can get Gucci guilty for £104 for 60ml... the cheapest I can find Reflection man is £320 for 100ml or £240 for 50ml. They aren't really comparable in price in the UK.

@@ScentTrail A bottle of Reflection man online is still £220 for the 50ml which is the lowest I've seen it. GGE still costs £100 less and is more affordable. In the states you're fortunate to get better deals on it

Going Gucci Guilty elixir all day. Will wait for it to go down in price though.
Gucci Elixir is Stronger than my Tabaco Vanille and we all know what Beast TV is . But honestly maybe this is a Con for people that use different perfumes on a day . Elixir Cost 110 euro for 60ml and Reflection 360 euro for 100ml in Greece and most Europe.
Thats a big difference. Thats arround 1.70 more for the Amouage.
If you look for deals online you can find Reflection at a better price point. Elixir is still new and isn't available at discounters yet.

Normally you can find Amouage reflection online huge price reduction from 360 to 199 EU ..
@@ScentTrail Is it possible from u to buy from Europe stores ? Does it worth it ? I know that some perfumes are cheaper and some others don't in Europe.For example Stronger with u absolute Cost 87 euros 100ml from Notino store.
I wish Gucci had given the option of buying a larger size for a moderately higher price like may fragrances do. I hat that so many are only selling 50 ml bottles which make you feel like it is half sed when you get it then multiply the shipping cost if applicable.

The thing with Gucci Elixir is that it has an unbeatable performance, is heavy sweet floral - musky, opens with amber and leathery notes, and is sensual and enriched with vanilla-nutmeg, but it doesn’t change so much, which is annoying. It has nothing to do with Reflection Man, which is way more pleasant to wear.
Gucci Elixir is not versatile, is a pure cold-weather scent for very specific occasions. The price, also considering the bottle and presentation, is too high. Finally, it doesn’t scream masculinity. I had to wash it off my hand..

I have Reflection 45 and it is my favorite fragrance along with DHI. I do like regular reflection a lot, but i dont think i like it enough to have it if i already have reflection 45, they are too similar. I havent tried Guilty elixir. Is it worth it if i already got reflection 45?

Gucci Elixir will remind you of Reflection but it just seems rough around the edges to me. Something in it also makes it nauseating to my nose. It opens up like root beer tbh😂
There is a piney synthetic note called Ambrofix ,it can be quite loud. 😉

Can you answer this for me? I have watched many fragrance reviewers over the past year. How do you guys know what each note or ingredient smells like? Did you learn from another fragrance reviewer in person, or is it self taught? I know what I like but I couldn't tell you the ingredients other than reading the marketing material. Or is it like wine tasting, depends on what each person feels and tastes?
The short answer is; I grew up on a farm in Europe. I was exposed to many fragrant flowers and grasses where I lived. I've always
loved my sense of smell. Over time much like wine one can pick out some notes....or at least I'd like to think so. Of course having a collection of more then a 1000 fragrances and interacting with them daily helps to get to know the simpler notes. I also read books on fragrances, perfumes, Perfumers etc.
I am sirtenly no professional but I enjoy fragrances very much. Thanks for asking and thank you for watching .

GGE, is the worst perfume I smelled in years. An aroma chemical bomb that nauseates me big time. The Amouage smells more natural.

Great comparison video, I have reflection man ,tried the gucci elixir at my local Macy's and I was like meh , I sprayed gucci elixir on my arm did 3 sprays walked around for a bit, and on my skin it didn't perform so well unfortunately ,

I would say like this. If you can not find reflection man batch before 2020, when they watered it down completely just go for gucci guilty elixir. Reflection man is still great fragrance but performance of the new batches are not up to the price. Also, gucci guilty elixir leans more unisex as well with that vanilla opening. Also quentin bisch is way better parfumer than lucas siuezac will ever be, and gucci guilty elixir is way way more creative fragrance than reflection man in general, but reflection man is more versatile and better all year round. Up to you to choose

Sir i recently smelled both. Reflection man smells very feminine to my nose. Too much florals. I don't really get anything else but florals from it.
Gucci Elixir which i smelled the other day smells like a bug spray. There is something in it that reminds me of a roach/spider bug spray sir.
