One of the most underrated cars on the market by far. It’s one of the few savage performance SUVs that nails the brief: be insanely fast and capable, but still be a comfy and practical vehicle. I’d love to own one

@@duffydon1741 It means that you’ve got other options that most people seem to lean on like the gle63 or x5M. What Most people think when they thought of middle clas performance SUV they tend to lean to those cars, yet there’s the RSQ8 which just a handful of people that actually chooses it.

@@duffydon1741 it means it’s not chosen by the people who have the money as often as it should. It’s undersold compared to the competition when it probability should be more popular among buyers.
As an RSQ8 owner I can totally agree with this review. It’s a really solid all rounder, the ride and comfort is unparalleled in the class. It’s not the sportiest but still a lot of fun, plus it looks amazing.
what about the cayenne turbo-gt?
@@hughlevantjames905 it’s in a completely different price bracket, almost double the price of a RSQ8. Plus it’s way more of a track SUV (sounds funny to say “Track SUV”)
I love my BMW X5 M50i - it's the perfect balance of quickness, handling, and smooth luxury when you want it Audi seating has always a little too firm for my tastes.
@@mbrown9060 yea the x5 m50i was on my list, since I found the x5m to be too firm to be a daily. Both vehicles excellent choices
RSQ8 is awesome but lacked in luxury imo, which is why I got a GLE63s. More smooth of a ride and overall better quality (imo) since benz is objecctively the best when it comes to luxury.
This is the “American Psycho” of SUVs; a killer in a handsome, well tailored suit.

It’s been my daily for nearly 2yrs and I love every minute of driving it. The carbon ceramics might be the best option…if you wash your own car and hate brake dust as much as I do!

Always loved Audi design over BMW/Merc. Definitely my dream car, I’m currently driving a 2022 Q5, the RSQ8 is insanely priced in Singapore.
X6m looks way better then this. Faster and handles better

Name one SUV back in the day that was comparable to this? Nothing. Why? Because they couldn’t even build this for that years ago. This drivetrain costs 50k.

Another fast SUV that will only see dangerous local street pedal to metal accelerations, highway racing. This cars/SUVs and their inconsiderate owners are obnoxious.
I drive SQ8 regularly and it is just perfect. Although I would love to own an RSQ8, 500 and 600 Horse powers doesn't mean much difference to me in day to day driving. I can still smoke 99% of people trying to race me on the lights and the car eats distances either way. My favorite SUV ever!
It limited to 130 MPH here in the states. Which sucks.

@@shkhehsaan yeah it sucks 😂. Audi put a limiter on it. If you get a ECU tune to remove it than it can probably go to around 200 MPH same as urus.

Have you guys considered doing comparison videos? I'm on the fence between a RR Sport, RSQ8 and the Cayenne Turbo. I'm finding it difficult to find direct comparisons of specific models.
Don't get me wrong, you guys do an outstanding job mentioning the other cars in slight comparisons. It's just difficult to sort through different reviews for specific details.

The Urus is my pipe-dream but in real life where a Lambo isn't realistic, this is an absolutely fantastic alternative.

The direction BMW is going makes the market for a lean, mean sports SUV kinda open. Audi remains in the field as a prime choice with only Range Rovers and Porsches to sorta match. RSQ8 still feels like a gross overabundance of power for an SUV but if someone's gonna make it, I'm glad it's Audi. I've seen some in person and they are huge, especially the wheels but so sleek.
the bmw, x3,x4,x5,x6 are still on the market, the bmw x5 is still the bench mark suv ( price to performance)
I think you forgot about the X5m competition ,needs to compete with that first then think about XM 😅
X6m is easily better then this. Way faster looks better too
XM looks terrible but in 2 yrs BMW will change the front lights but this RSQ8 looks amazing. I can’t afford it but love to see you guys in it sharing your experience.

Love the RSQ8, wish they did an RSQ7 as well that’ll be cool. Although would still want an RS6 more.
I don’t like the exterior in black because it hides all of the outside features. I do like the interior including those seats. It does look like it’s fun to drive.
That's why he repeatedly made the stealth comment. The good news is choice of colors is easily fixed.
I appreciate that the RSQ, and for that matter many modern Audis, are still just cars. They're not trying to be some funky design statement like BMW is doing, or making the R8 into an electric SUV. They're keeping things traditional to a sense, and not trying to make their cars alien.
Honestly you'd be crazy to not get the RSQ8 and save $100k over the Urus, but if money was no object, I'd still get the Urus for the looks and badge. Great video and the XM should be disqualified on looks alone.
I see this more comparable to the X6M Competition or the GLE 63S not the XM

The design part I agree. BMWs are designing their cars horribly recently, the newly launched 5 series today is an example of that. But as far as driving dynamics go bmw is still far ahead than Audi and merc

The Audi Q8 and the S & RS variants are literally the best mid-size luxury crossover SUVs you can get compared to the BMW X5, BMW X6, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Lexus RX and Lamborghini Urus, just to name a few.

Another mid-size luxury crossover SUV of Audi is the Q7, although the Q8 is an SUV coupe while the Q7 is just an SUV. BMW differentiate the X5 as an SUV and X6 as an SUV coupe because X-odd# is SUV while X-even# is SUV coupe.

To be fair, if the suburban and Tahoe and grand wagoneer didn’t exist, this car would be considered full size.
I'm not a big fan of the console mounted shifter since I prefer an uncluttered clean design. However, I love the black package. Audi did a great job with that including the window trim and blacked out rings. I do, however, prefer a light headliner. As long as you don't have kids. BTW, adaptive cup holders, yes.
The most practical purchase. Like personally I wouldn't even consider an Urus for what it offers at that crazy money. Like I can buy a used Carrera or even gtrs'es and rsq8 for that money. Hence the main competition would be the cayenne turbo GT, that car or this are the ultimate SUVs which cater to two different styles pretty much. An urus doesn't do itself justice when two cheaper alternatives from same family literally smoke it off in various different scenarios.
Also why does the XM even exist man. The design team on BMW is pathetic.

apart from the cayenne, i think the q8 range is the best big size suv cause its sporty enough to be enjoyble and looks good, while still doing the suv part very good. Its comfy and quite to travel, its more than decent offroad thanks to audis quattro and its practical and safe with a lot of tech(usable tech). def in the top 3 suvs along with the ranger rover sport and the cayenne. If you wnt somethink better offroad you need adefender wrangler or bronco. If yu need something more sporty the a caynne turbo gt or urus is what you want. But for a good allrounder that wont shout, look at me, the rsq8 is the thing.

It’s so weird to me that people keep comparing the BMW XM to other vehicles. The XM doesn’t have any competition. The RSQ8 competes directly against the X6M, which it’s slower than.
When you’re the GOAT, people will always compare things to you. And we all know BMW is killing the market right now in sales.
Because BMW claims it to be the most powerful SUV ever made by them! So it's obvious for journalist to compare it against the other fast flagship SUVs like RSQ8, Urus and Cayenne! IMHO they could have positioned the XM to compete against Maybach SUV or Bentayga!
BMW is shitting on everyone right now. They are producing cars that are faster, have better fuel efficiency, and now believe it or not, they are the 3rd most reliable brand in the US after only Lexus and Toyota.

More room, more wagon-like, better sounding (not by much but yes), cheaper and wife more incline to approve, even more sleeper
Love my SQ7. Better looking than the SQ8 in terms of proportions. We actually refer to it as a “Fat Wagon”, which I believe yuri coined in their original RSQ8 video

@@luciccrew617 Ha! No way the SQ7 looks better than the SQ8! As for space, the SQ8 has more second row leg room, and the hatch is only smaller if you fully stack luggage to the ceiling.

This SUV is better looking than most. I find the restrained design most appealing.
Guys can you review the rs5 competition spec. I have one and think the OEM coil over suspension, stiffer sway bars and other mapping tweaks have changed the car dramatically. The bouncy rear suspension is a thing of the past too.
I bet it fixes the only real problem I had with it, which was the suspension bouncing lol

Its time to review 2023 Audi RS5 sp competition
I got the 2024 RSQ8 recently, I love it but I still prefer the Cayenne turbo GT. There’s no space in the RSQ8 to put your phone and the cup holders are very tight they don’t fit regular cups easily and the fan keeps running for a while after the engine is being turned off.
I love running cliche corner. It's so fun... especially on a motorcycle.

And to think, Audi used to set the industry standard of interiors and ergonomics. Cup holders is not something anybody should get wrong at this stage. Its just too bad they're not heated and cooled, which wouldn't be at all out of place on a car of this caliber.

Not typically as aggressive at that level. Never been sure why. BMW does an M-variant at every level.

As far as I know the V8 engines are build by Porsche now. In 2016 Porsche build a new engine production facility where now all VAG V8s get build.^^

I think the RSQ8 looks like a more comprehensive beefed-up version of the Rs5. For some reason, the body lines remind me of it a lot. I have the 2.0t in my 22 Gli and the 4.0tt reminds me of it but times two with a deeper better exhaust tone. My theory is that VW/Audi group just starts off with a base engine and then multiplies it. The 4.0tt is two 2.0t in a v configuration. The 2.0t is the 2.5t 5cyl with 1 less cyl. They use around a half liter per cylinder on most engines. The 2.9 6cyl is 483cc per cylinder. The v10 is 5.2, so they double the 2.5 and bore it over some. I think it's genius and I know every engine is different based on fire order, internals, turbo and etc. That's what I've observed being a VAG customer and fan.
No cause the 5 cylinder is actually half of the v10 on the huracan/R8
im more interested in Audi's... you can get an RS6 2023 model year used very slightly for about the same price as a 2021 E63s wagon used and 2 years old, and the rs6 looks better. I like this RSQ8, looks great !

I've owned an x5m, and I love fast suvs. But, I don't think I would pay the premium for this car. For some reason I just don't see bmw, audi, or posche suvs aging well especially if you're paying such a premium.
The only suv I've kept ahold of is my previous generation g63 amg. That's a timeless suv worth the premium. It has a bit of that nonsensical brute similar to that of the escalade v
