Door County Weekend February 2015_Sunday Ferry Crossing Death's Door Passage

We spent three days in Kewaunee and Door Counties. February 6 - 8, 2015. Went there for work and to enjoy some snowmobiling, ice fishing, and seeing the beauty of this part of Wisconsin in the winter. Work went well and we had a lot of fun to boot. Spectacular sunset, great fishing, and a ferry ride to Washington Island that seems like journeying to the Antarctica. But without getting stuck in a massive sheet of ice. But there is plenty of ice. Enjoy the videos and photos. We are so lucky to have this crown jewel of heaven on earth at our doorstep. This is the seventh of seven videos I took.

Thank you for braving the cold to make this very interesting video. 10 am august fourth this year I had my motorcycle on the boat for my very first trip to the island. Was windy with some swells and that morning felt kinda freaky certainly nothing that boat and her captain couldn't handle easily.

I went across there at the end of October...and even THEN it was DAMN COLD AND DAMN SCARY! Don't think I'd want to try it in THIS kind of weather.

We took this very ferry over to the island three weeks ago. First time exploring Washington Island. Enjoyed it. My wife and I were wondering if it ran in the winter.

Did any of those suv's start? That horn went off because the underhood fuse box/ power control center was saturated with salt water, or holy heavin' Batman, enough "green water" got inside the door and the salt water shorted the unlock switch in the door lock.
