I have a couple more years before my military career is complete and I will be heading back to the rock to spend my days fishing, hunting and just enjoying the country. Miss it so much, but your videos allow me to stay in touch and helps build the excitement of my eventual return! Thank you very much.

Late June 1977 my father decides to take me to The Rock fishing. Took the ferry across and drove to Grand Falls to stay the night in our tent and do some fishing on our way to Clarenville. The sky turned dark and we thought a storm was brewing but of another type as we found out. We fed your bugs proper, and have never seen bugs like that again. Anyways that started a love affair with The Rock which has never gone away. You're a lucky man to live in a beautiful place like that full of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Black flies are just starting here in Quebec and they seem fiercer than usual. It might be because they are 2 weeks later than usual. sStir up the moss by shore if you REALLY want to thicken the bug clouds. Thanks for the video. Dandy few trout, well done man. The black specks from what I have read is called Black Spot and come from birds like gulls and others shitting in the water. No harm from them but I never like to see them on trout. But in meantime I still always eat the trout unless they are really infested with them and then I just release.
