You rock brother! I've been watching your videos in anticipation for my Sambar arriving. I just picked it up yesterday and already love it, 1997 KS4 Sambar 4x4 5 spd with extra low and only 13,000 miles on it in WA state as well. I ordered a thermostat from your ebay store and I feel like it was in my hands the next day! Will definitely check out your store first if I find I need anything else. Hope to meet you at one of the meets one of these days.

Are those tires loud? Could you link them? The tires I have on now are rotten and have very large blocks (atv tires) that are VERY loud and shake the whole truck and it also came with street tires that are rotten I I'm tire shopping. The tires on now are 22x7x12 and I'd like to stay close to that height but I'd like a tire that's best on road with decent trail capabilities (Kinda like a Geolander tire). Good oil change video btw!

Just bought my sambar. Burning more oil than gas. It's been home a week, engine is totally apart, kit will be here Monday. Super stoked! I've also got it pretty much ready for paint. Now to see if I can find someone to reman the 4WD decals and the 660 four cylinder decal on the back window....nudge nudge...

Just got a 93 KS4. 30,000 miles. Lots of condinsation in the oil cap and dipstick. I like seafoam too but never mixed to flush crankcase. I use kerosene, old school.Ya think it would be good to do a second oil change in a couple 100 miles or so? Then it should be cleaned out realy good. For oil I use Rotella T 10-30 in all my engines from my Honda lawnmower to my 89 toyota pickup, 22R with 300,000+ miles. Thank Man Great Vid.
right on! ya, it certainly wont hurt to do a second oil change after. Kinda like breaking a new motor in lol, but just getting rid of the sludge. I have never used Rotella, I will have to give it a try! Thanks for the comment!

165/80/13 Forceum's M/T tires! love em. and yes, it has the 2" spacer lift
How are you accessing the crank case to out seafoam in?
Just pouring it into the oil fill. Leaks down to the crankcase 🤙🏻
Brilliant to see one that’s being looked after so well…..I live in Japan, I just threw in whatever oil I had in the shed & then decided to check TH-cam to see if I did it correctly😆

What’s the part number for the little red filter you slapped on there?
Also how did you cap the hose on the other end
KN breather filter off Amazon. Forget the number but it’s universal. Also a vacuum plug on the air box nipple
Can I reuse the crush washer or should I be sourcing a new one?
it's ok to re use it. it'll start to leak if its bad. i just usually replace it each time.
Any idea on torque specs for oil drain plug?
i dont know the specific number, but you should have a crush washer that you will tighten till crushed, and i'd go a half turn or so and should be good. just wanna make sure that washer is squished flat again.
Red or Blue wires should be on your list.

What oil do we use?
10w-30 and preferably synthetic. i use the Motul and liqui moly a lot. good stuff!
