Yes you can use any paper. But if you are thinking about using watercolour then you must have to apply water.

Can we use canvas paper?
Yes, you can but remember you can't use poster colours on canvas paper.
You have to choose either acrylic or oil colours to paint.

These papers are made by using hands not by machines in factories.
But we purachse these from stores.
You can get these papers in any art store.😃just mention "handmade paper"🤞

This paper is basically made up manually and easily available in both art stores and online.
