Love the pacing explanation! I noticed it’s one of the least talked about on TH-cam for film making tutorials aside from a boatload of channels only offering tutorials on transitions, b-roll, color grading, how to do this effects, etc

Complete newbie here in 2024. Was looking for a way to edit all my travel footage. TH-cam presented me with your channel. I must say I'm impressed with how you shoot and explain all the cuts and scenes. Well done, Aidin.

What impresses me is this guy is so young. I have been in the game for over 20 years and I do not know how he can understand so much yet there are so many who have been in the game for 40 years but do not understand this level of stuff. 10/10

the change of music from the first sequence to the second one, the pacing is organic man, loved it. aside from tutorials, good works and efforts behind them teaches the best. i find Brandon Li a master of sequencing and pacing - multiple sequences, gradual build up, cinematic af -all these packed into one whole story, an essence that lingers even after watching his works. I love how you are approaching to multiple sequences and weave them into a story these days.

You have got to be one of the best short film makers on TH-cam. I don't say that just to blow smoke. You have a creativity and a thought process that is super unique. Thanks for putting out these tutorials. It's helping me to think differently about the way I see things, how I put them together. Another awesome video, Aidin. I can see how you use all these elements in your work. What I like about what you are saying here is that you are putting a name to what we all know to be true. This shows us who didn't go to film school, what to look for in an edit and what to do when we edit.

Thanks for so concisely hitting the nail on the head. I've never heard anyone else talk about this but realize how important it is.
have you seen Sergio Leone's once upon a Time in the West?
It's 4 hours long. some points are really exciting and worth the watch, and I know that they very exactly tried to Pace it, because at some point you could see even see the horse hooves hitting the ground at the same beat as the orchestra was playing.
But other points like where the handicapped overweight guy was dragging on the ground, I was thinking to myself okay I get it let's move on.
Quite the opposite has Peter Jackson believed that you should have something hard rock and very exciting at the very beginning of the film.. he thought it was like shooting a bow as hard as you could, and the excitement would remain to the end of the three and a half hour movie. Sometimes it worked.
At any rate thanks for your instruction on something that I've always had struggles with.
