Idea for Toes’ BF’s name:
Phalanx. It’s the singular for Phalanges which are the bones that make up toes (at least in people)
This is twofold; the obvious pun of him being here to Bone Toes.
But also because Toes is named as such because she’s missing a few. She has likely been heartbroken since Fuji died and this new guy will hopefully help fill the missing piece in her heart.
I love it! Plus we can call him Phil or Filler 😉 for short

ayo you should name the gecko feet (because feet have toes) or something a little too human to be comfortable. at bewild (reptile rescue i volunteer for) they have a crested gecko named rufus who is so incredibly stupid and i think the fact his name is so human adds to his character
I also know a stupid crested. His name is Stumps (I rescued him missing his tail and a leg, so couldn’t just be “Stump”), and he likes to give himself concussions on his enclosure trying to glide even though he’s lopsided. It’s like watching the scene where Hiccup firsts finds Toothless in the gorge and he’s gliding around crashing into things. You could be relaxing, enjoying a peaceful bowl of soup at 3 in the morning, and then from somewhere in the darkness you just hear “dunk!” the sound of a foolish gecko hitting a glass wall

These videos solidified my want to get a Gargoyle so I went to a reptile con and got my gargoyle gecko from Tikis last year they were so nice to work with! He's not meant for breeding as they have a slight genetic condition but I was happy to help give them a cushy spoiled life.

I have had a tarantula and a beardie that ate crickets. I hates crickets! They chewed through a container I kept them in and I awoke to find one looking me in the eye from the edge of my quilt. I did scream a little. I enjoy your videos so much and loved the squeak!

Just in case anyone is wondering, surgery is not always the only option if your pet is egg bound, with reptiles changes in their environment and hormones can be tried first. The level of severity can differ based on species (so if you think your pet is egg bound look it up). In general (again from what I know) you can wait and see with reptiles, but it is an immediate emergency in birds. An egg bound bird will die within one to two days without treatment (so get them to a vet quickly if you suspect egg binding, an avian vet if you can), which is not the case for most reptiles. I think it's also important to remember that most animals can lay eggs even if they aren't paired, so if your animal is sick after a change in their environment or after they've shown breeding behaviors, don't rule out the possibility of them being egg bound just because they are housed alone.
