The ix6 is a fantastic scooter. Let me tell you why i haven't had a problem.
After i took it out the box, i did a total strip down and checked every wire, plug, clips, screws, fastners, brakes, motor, did a battery cycle and tested on each battery cell. I then moved on to waterproofing the scooter even more. Adding sealant, rubber seals etc. Last of all ( the most important part!!) I used thread lock,( medium strength) on every screw. For The wire connectors, i used heat shrink and a little bit of sealant to keep water out. Used zip ties to stop the connections coming loose.
I've learned throughout the years owning rc cars, that the Chinese never go to great lengths full proofing anything, i.e electrical, thread locking screws etc etc. They develop some great stuff, but as we all know.....they fail after time. Remember, these things vibrate and shake themselves leading to problems.
So take my advise buying any e scooter. Do the above that ive done, and you'll have it working problem free for a lot longer than the person that just takes it out the box and rides it.
    Prevention is the cure.
    I hope this helps someone.

They're great for going shops cos you can take it in with you and stick the basket on the deck. Where I live I get a bit nervous locking my ebike up in town for any length of time. Gangs with vans been going round pinching bikes, they have guys on foot and bikes scoping out. When they find a bike they want they call the van guys. Gone in 60 seconds is a real thing.

Good morning. I would like to ask if there is an engine brake? I would also like to know what is the maximum speed and how much maintenance does it require? I've been watching it for a while now, but read a lot of negative experiences. What is your private opinion? Does the suspension work normally? Not too difficult?

i adjusted the suspension to themax soft, and then its decent. not very good but okay. You have the springs on half way. that was Waayyy rocky for me. But for the speed. i have got 42 km/h with this. im 100kg man. But that was on gps not on scooter. Because scooter shows 45 when its actually 39km/h, But it actually accelerates more after it shows 45 km/h, but it does not show. I say its decent. good for its price. im 100kg. i can go about 20-25km on ot with full speed.

I have a question for you bud. I have a 52v 2000w ebike with a 19.2a battery. I need a new controller. The question is, should I get an 80a sabvoton and limit the current down to about 60a or get a normal 45a sabvoton and have the speed basically the same. Would I do damage to my motor drawing more current even if its only 3000w (1000w more).

I’ve had loose Allen nuts that just spin a top speed of 32km a hour after the following of the video and the sweeping brakes would love to know how to get the Bluetooth to work because you can’t after about 6 emails backwards and forwards they are now blanking me can’t get in touch even sorted it out for a e scooter specialist to sort a brand new back wheel and a scratched screen they said they would give me a 15 percent discount on my purchase but wanted a scooter that just worked how it should now I’m just getting the silent treatment from some one called Phylis if you’re in for the same treatment as me it’s not worth the trouble as they promised the parts to fix the scooter if I knew how to put a picture or video up of the scratched screen with no protective tape or film and the spinning Allen nuts and a top speed of 32km a hour instead of the quoted 45km now the silent treatment if there’s any help from them now after them asking for my personal email name, I will let you all know;regards people peace; out D

@@Awareness82 I don't know if it helps your decision but this is a copy paste of my comment on Jake Billing's ix6 review: "I own this scooter and let me tell you what I think after 4 months riding it.
Since I paid for mine what I will say is just my opinion.
Aesthetically it's very presentable and the specs on paper sound like the price is extremely good.
But, there's always a but, this scooter was very poorly engineered.
The bottom cover that covers the electronics and which is the closest thing to the ground after the tires, is made of hard, brittle plastic and mine has dozens of cracks already.
The 11-inch wheels deserve 160mm discs instead of the 140mm it brings.
The mechanical brakes do the job reasonably well, but I had to upgrade mine to hydraulic brakes because I hate the mechanical brakes feeling.
The motor is certainly not 1000W but about 500W. Although it should be noted that it is not a speed motor but a torque one.
Suspension is ridiculously useless. It would be better to have only one shock absorber per axle, as the double shock absorbers make the damping effect completely non-existent, even with the springs fully loosened.
The display seems to have potential as it has Bluetooth and a micro USB port and although there is an application called iScooter, there is no information on how to use it with this scooter. The seller was also not helpful in this situation.
And finally, I hope you never need the seller's assistance.
Unfortunately my engine controller burned out and I got in touch with the seller to buy another one and I took the opportunity to ask for a new lower electronics plastic cover since mine must be on the way soon and the seller first told me he had no stock and that I had to wait a week or two to get the parts. After two weeks I got back in touch with the seller who said that there was a fire in a warehouse in Germany and that for 2 months there will be no stock of the parts. I soon realized that the seller doesn't care about helping so I ended up buying a better controller and ended up doing a series of upgrades to my scooter that should have come from the factory.
In conclusion, would I buy this scooter again? Absolutely not. There are much better scooters at very similar prices that have proven to be better in quality, performance and construction."
