You can go for the Logitech pencil it’s cheaper and a really good product: amzn.to/3fjP90f there are really cheap third party ones but I wouldn’t recommend it because they will die out and you’ll need to buy them again and again so best bet would be Apple Pencil or the Logitech one. You can download all the Microsoft apps like word, excel etc. I personally just use the Apple ones and if needed I export them as Microsoft compatible formats. They keyboard works great, in fact with time my speed on it has gotten so well that I don’t even have trouble switching between my desktop and iPad setups. i had ipad 8 gen and im really enjoy everything like watching video making some folder and editing my photos and videos and sketching and multitasking and reading is also good on this i dont know how smoothness ipad can get over this because even i use a lot different apps its just fine and still smooth and i dont see any lag or frame drops on that ipad its just really good for studying playing music and for talking a note and also great for games and you dont have to worried when you use that or heat your tab its is just fine and its also i like the security give on this tablet
@Joshua Duca - The iPad 8 as you’ve mentioned is really great. Honestly the way iPad OS is it doesn’t need that much power to run smooth and efficiently. I’ve even got a 11in pro model from 2018 and even that has been working perfectly fine with the passage of time. I heard we can't connect external harddrive or usb with ipad using the Apple connector you talked about. It shows "this external device will consume more energy" something like that. Plz lemme know, if I can connect hard drives through connectors so that I can order ipad 8 gen 32.

Get the camera adapter from apple I’ve tried other ones and they usually end up going bad but that could just be my experience. There’s some reviews of the Logitech pebble on TH-cam so definitely check them out it’s a great mouse and you’ll be happy with your purchase as this is the iPad in my opinion to go for. I just purchased the iPad 8 that you reviewed and I agreed with everything you said. I really did a lot of comparing with the other new iPads and I thought this did not really lack anything that I needed. I got the $429 deal as I needed the 128 gigs. I bought an off brand pencil and it works just fine. I had a keyboard that I used with my previous iPad. I can get it paired and working ,but a message came up that said “Using Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard” may affect wi-fi andBluetooth connectivity. I’m not sure what this means and will it damage my iPad and wi-fi and any other devices I have hooked up to wi-fi? Could you recommend another keyboard less expensive then the Logitech and I really don’t need a Trac pad, but that Pebble mouse is something I would bd interested in. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. With us. I have subscribed and want to hear more from you!
@Nancy B Wilborn - The iPad 8 is great Nancy and I’m glad you chose it as it’s a very capable iPad indeed. The more you use it the more you will become accustomed to it. That’s good the 128gb option is also great, I’ve got iCloud so I don’t need that much storage but everyone’s storage needs are different. For keyboard did you have a standard desktop style one? If so then I’d recommend the Logitech k780 keyboard which can be paired with up to 3 devices has a tray up top where you can set the iPad. I’ve done a review on it and for $60 it’s a great keyboard. If you’re looking for a iPad style keyboard then the Logitech slim folio one is a great option. It’s a $100 and it doesn’t have a trackpad so it’s essentially the same as the combo touch I mentioned. I have the one with out the track pad, but I went with the spill proof and drop protection Logitech rugged folio because I can be clumsy but I wish I had trackpad sometimes, I will consider mouse
@Wonda Payne - I feel ya and the rugged folio is definitely great for that purpose. I personally really like having the trackpad because then I don’t have to worry about carrying the mouse with me 😊. @chmllp - It’s just there to work just like a traditional trackpad. If you’re good with using your fingers then you can most definitely go for the rugged folio and you will be fine.

The Logitech keyboard is a nice choice, I also have the folio one without the trackpad so if you’re someone that doesn’t really need it then that one is also a great option. @xyz 57 - if the things you’re doing aren’t that intricate and it’s just simple stuff than that’s fine but I’d also suggest to take a look at the 2018 iPad Pro as well. I have the one with out the track pad, but I went with the spill proof and drop protection Logitech rugged folio because I can be clumsy but I wish I had trackpad sometimes, I will consider mouse
@Wonda Payne - I feel ya and the rugged folio is definitely great for that purpose. I personally really like having the trackpad because then I don’t have to worry about carrying the mouse with me 😊. What can you do with the track pad that you cannot do with your fingers on the touch screen? Or is it more like a habit for macbook users? I'm not sure to get the rugged folio or this.
@chmllp - It’s just there to work just like a traditional trackpad. If you’re good with using your fingers then you can most definitely go for the rugged folio and you will be fine.
