RDR2 Survivalist 5 - Catch a fish while boating in the Bayou

Survivalist 5 - Catch a fish in the Bayou from a riverboat.
Such riverboat(s) is roaming along Kamassa River; occasionally parked at the jetty (North West of "CALIGA HALL" on map). Horse can swim near the riverboat, clear alligator first. Check stamina before swim-chasing riverboat.
Boats on rack, on ground, big boats don't count. Couldn't figure out a way to catch a fish on an unstable canoe yet.
The part for catching fish while standing on railroad track should be no problem, just save game before starting fishing for that incoming train....

Lol I gave up on getting a boat so I started taking a stagecoach into the fence to finish my bandit challenge and right when I was going over the bridge under the B in Bluewater marsh a guy on a boat was going under the bridge so I parked the stage coach and jumped in the boat caught a fish and delivered the stagecoach. Two birds with one stone

Everyone, I can confirm, simply go to caliga hall, where you meet the Braithwaitte chick at the gazebo. There is a dock with two pirogues, thats cajun for Canoe... what i live in Lemoyne, er I mean Louisiana.
Anyways, take the canoe, drive it to the bank, stand in it and fish off the bank. That simple. You have to dock it, stand, and it counts as the same thing.

Trying to do this, but my fishing rod refuses to be pulled out on the boat.

You have to make sure you aren't holding the paddles. Triangle in ps4 version.

I also had this glitch. Took me forever to figure it out. So annoying
