You are right, the botanical is the best. Also, I agree, the seashore would do with seashells more lighthouses and ships but less people. If I bought any of them I don't know if II would want to remove them. What to do with the empty book and pages... thanks Becky and have a nice weekend.
Thanks for sharing these, I enjoyed just sitting back and taking them all in. I have to agree with you on the best one being the first one, I can see many uses for those stickers as well as just using them as inspiration for sketching and composition. Lovely 💕
I agree - the second half of the third book is way better than the first half. I do love stickers, but I don't find myself collecting them on purpose. I'm too much of a minimalist at heart for that (except for watercolors, of course!) LOL! Regardless, it's fun to join in your love of stickers and sticker books. ❤️
Stickers are something I was always into as a girl, and now that there are entire books of them aimed at adults, I am revisiting that old passion, haha! I also have a bookshelf in my office for art books, sketchbooks, and..erm....sticker books. There are others I haven't got yet, lol! Also, my watercolour drawers are pretty full too....oops! 🤣
I had been really hoping for a section on shells, so that was a bit of a let-down. But it works well as a Victorian-style book with the quirky designs. 😊
Yay, I've been waiting for this. I was curious why someone would spend money on this so now I get to see. Yay Oh wow the artwork is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Now that's what I call being an artist. When you can create something that looks like it's supposed to. Not many these days have the skill to do that.
I grew up loving sticker books, but of course those were a lot more childish. It pleases me that nowadays these sorts of things are also aimed at adults (same with colouring books) and I love how the stickers and the entire books themselves are works of art. They also make great reference pictures for drawing. 😊
OMG thank you for letting me live vicariously through you! I have the opposite opinion from you though 😂 I love the sea collection the most, precisely because of the victorian drawings of "weird" creatures
Fair enough! I also have the Antiquarian sticker books which are a lot more of the Victorian style, which is why I was hoping for shells in the seashore book.
Great video. Wife had purchased two of these and loved them so much bought another two. If anyone is looking to actually use these stickers, caution, they are not very good at adhering to whatever you're putting them on. The adhesive is awful. It could be we just have bad examples but just something she noticed. Shes still loves them too;!! Thanks for the video
They are such pretty books, and it's hard to resist collecting them all! I've mostly been ok with the stickers sticking to other things, but the adhesive is pretty low-tack, so sometimes glue has to get involved as well, lol.
Thanks so much for showing these books. I like them all! Well, okay, maybe not the monstrous-looking ones. LOL. But I think the sailors/boaters/people and the variety of undersea vegetation are pretty cool. And there's a crab at 08:23 that's got it going on. 🤩
Haha yes I like the crabby ones! I just wish it had a section of shells because I was looking for some shell stickers and now I'll have to go elsewhere for those. Ah well, such is life! All problems should be as tiny, lol.
😍thank you for making this video, it’s so inspiring to see all the illustrations. I agree with you, the first book is stunning and so well designed, will definitely be purchasing. The second one is also interesting especially if you’re looking to paint different birds and butterflies and the second half of the third makes it worth it, the corals are so gorgeous but it is a shame that they did not include seashells, or more colourful/realistic fish
I think I also like the botanist book best! The stickers are so gorgeous and it seems like you can really find use for those ones. I agree with you that the seashore book is definitely a bit creepy. I was hoping to see some more cute, tropical fish but most of them looked unfriendly😂 the one with the hair is very unsettling but now I must find out what it’s supposed to be🤣 seems like a fish that is never meant to see the light of day. Luckily it seems like some of fish were okay and the people stickers could be used for something vintage! I don’t have any sticker books but I’d most likely go with a botanical one as they are versatile!🌸
They make for decent reference photos too! Haha yes there were a lot of Creatures from the Depths, and they are likely best kept down there, in the dark. 😬
I have the Botnany Anthology book, and another one not shown here I think it's called the Antiquarian. I will check the title and edit my post. Now I need the bee one and seashore one. Gorgeous books. TFS❤ Nope, I agree with you. The sea one is creepy.
Got to agree the seashore one is not great, like you said sea shells would have been so pretty, seahorses, sea glass, rock pools. So much they could have done but those wormy things, spiders and that THING you pointed out!!!!! I've put the birds one in my basket via your link, great video becky
Delightful books; I agree, the Seashore is my least favorite. As you decide what to do with your stickers, thought I would share a TH-cam video by MissLinux2010 "Collaging with stickers" - streamed about a month ago; she did some sticker collaging that is lovely. Thanks for sharing
First congrats on 4k!!! Second, how have I never heard of these books. I love collecting stickers and I really like the botanist one, the second was ok too. The seashore one had some...interesting choices lol.
Thank you. 😊❤️ I keep seeing all sorts of cool sticker books being released. There are a couple of others which look interesting too. Not sure if I currently have shelf space for them though!
Oh by the way, since i did come across some reviews who said they couldnt bear to actually use the stickers, I thought perhaps you could re-bind the books with your favorite drawing papers after the stickers are used up? I think that would be wonderful
I have pulled a couple out of the butterflies one so now I can use that book more easily, lol! I imagine the empty pages could be be turned into art journal ones eventually. If I ever get through ALL the stickers! 🤣
I have the Botanist’s Sticker Anthology and I think it’s wonderful. I bought it as a reference book for the floral artwork. I didn’t buy it to use the florals as stickers.
I totally agree on why the sea one is a bit of a disappointment. I too expected something lively, something like the first book is. A lost potential, I suppose.
On Amazon they're usually priced at AU$30-35 each, which is where I got them. Book Depository was more expensive when I looked, maybe $40 or so? The prices fluctuate online usually. 🤔
I definitely agree with you, the first one is stunning, the second is good but not as appealing (a lot of the bees look the same for example, not as much variety), and the third has a lot in there that I have no interest in. That whole section with the people is not my vibe at all, I much prefer the natural plant and animals. What I don't like is how they've numbered the pages so the backing also count, seems a little bit misleading for people to see the page count and not know half of that is nothing. You definitely need to start using them now though!
Oh yes I completely forgot to mention the page numbers!! The backings are definitely included and that tripped me up a few times while filming. So annoying eh! And I agree with you; I wish the people section had been shells instead. 😭
I actually don't like any of the books enough to buy them. I like certain stickers, but I am not into flowers and fish and birds etc. I have the Antiquarian sticker book, which I really like. I am happy to have seen your video though as I had considered buying these books and now I know not to , so thank you for sharing.
I really was considering buying The seashore, as I see Shells on The cover but I see none Shells in The book itself right?? Thats so weird and a bit misleading!
I'm the one here like "oh I wonder the name of this plant/bird/butterfly /fish I like sealife but the deep sea fish are scary to me haha I like more colorful ones same to birds and flowers a bit scared about insects too okay I'm a scaredy-person
I love victorian Era art. I love it newscaster it is realistic yet still has that artistic whimsical flare to it. Victorian, baroque, French provincial, hyper realism, to me those people were artists with mad skills. Today's artists lack skill and technique as far as in concerned. Not that they aren't great creates and creators themselves. Many are, right after they trace the outlines. I used to live for a Norman Rockwell post cover. Until I found out he traced too. Then I gave them all away. I used to get all Andy Warhols gallery items after his shows because it was cheaper to give them away than to pay for the garbage dump fees. When I found out he traced too then paid a kid 35 cents a print to screen print them I used his Campbell soup prints as flooring in my attic and painted over them. No respect for people without the skill to draw. No respect at all. The work becomes worthless to me. Guess maybe that's why I'm moving into buying clay sculpture. I agree with you, the botanical is lovely.
I can't stop laughing at your Campbells Soup story!!! 😱😂 Agreed that the artworks just for advertising were insanely good, let alone the actual paintings done by masters. I am always fascinated by the sketches of artists. There are still some really amazing artists today who can draw like nobody's business. Drawing by far is the most difficult skill to master. For Victorian sticker art, there are two books; The Antiquarian Sticker Book, and a sequel Bibliophilia which have all sorts of weird and wonderful pictures.
@@phillipstroll7385 I do, but I haven't made a separate video for it. I did a quick-ish flip in a haul video. I want to say it was Christmas 2021? I'll have to check.

I think the empty book pages could be used for art journalling - that could be an ongoing project. Resticking stickers back into it! 😂
Thanks for sharing these, I enjoyed just sitting back and taking them all in. I have to agree with you on the best one being the first one, I can see many uses for those stickers as well as just using them as inspiration for sketching and composition. Lovely 💕
I also enjoyed taking another look at all three books. 😊 These work well as reference images too! 💜

Couldn’t agree with your review more. The Botanist and Bees books are wonderful. The Seashore book comes out of left field. What a missed opportunity!
For sure! I think I will have to write an Amazon review for that one!
💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 I don't need any more stickers... I don't need any more stickers... I don't need...... OMG STICKERS!!!!

Thanks for giving a good look at these books. I really liked the first one!
The first and the best! I'm glad you liked the video. 😊
Oh My God! They are very exquisite and amazing! I wish to have them.. ... Love for them and for you too!
They keep releasing more of them too! They do look pretty on my bookshelf. 😊
Beautiful (the flowers are my favourite too) but I wouldn't want to use them - too lovely to take out of the book 🤗🌸
Haha yes it is so hard to peel the first one out! Once a few have been used it gets a bit easier. 😂
That’s why I buy 2 of a book I love. One to use and the other to keep as it is.
