    How do you find out what the factory spring is and what you need to do with larger tires?

    I have a 2006 arctic cat z570lx, i doesn't have a tach but it sounds really hogh before engaging then it learches forward, would a softer spring help it engage earlier? This is my first sled so i know nothing

    Thanks for your video. New subscriber here. My utv has just a steel color or it could be considered black....it has no #'s on it. It's a 2016 Cub-Cadet Challenger 750cc Crew Cab. Without going into a lot of info , do you know how I can find out the factory spring specs? Thanks in advance.

    O.K. I want to keep good start torque and after that wants faster shifting ratio.
    I want to cruise on lower rpm than now. I do not want to hold full throotle for simple driving.
    What to do?

    Salut! Est-ce qu’un ressort d’embrayage principal TRA peut fonctionner dans un embrayage Pdrive? Merci!

    My stock cvt spring on Yamaha xmax is 800rpm. if i change to 1000rpm spring ore 1500rpm spring. will i get higher RPM on engine before clutch engage?

      It will require higher/harder revs to turn your belt. I learned the hard way. Chewing up your belt as it tries to fight the contra spring. Think of the cvt as a transition of torque from engine to tire. If you have a larger displacement (higher cc engine), you would want to increase the tension of the contra spring to latch on to that added power.

    how does spring length affect the clutch

    • @JoeyStrub
      @JoeyStrub  ปีที่แล้ว

      The length will affect the spring preload but there is much more to it than that . Wire diameter, number of coils and spring length all dictate the overall ratings.

    If the new spring isnshorter than thee old, does it need a spacer to make up the difference?

    • @JoeyStrub
      @JoeyStrub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No; the amount of coils, wire diameter and spring length are what create the installed and compressed force rates. Springs should be designed to run without spacers. Some places sell spacers but if used you must verify the spring has enough room for full travel and will not coil bind.

    Will a week spring cause clutch chatter

    • @JoeyStrub
      @JoeyStrub  ปีที่แล้ว

      More likely it would stay engaged or be hard to shift
