RIP Shoeshine Willie. Hey she should have mentioned why they formed the lifeguard service there. On one Sunday during WW1, at what is now dog beach, 13 people lost their lives, drowned. The rip currents there can be extremely dangerous.

My home beach!!! OB, it's beside the Point. Sam the Taylor, Cornets, The Black, Poma's, Nati's and where I learned to swim.

Born and raised in SD. As a child every Saturday my grandpa took us kids to Mission Bay to ride bikes. OB was tight too
